THIS NAIL SALON WAS HORRIBLE!! This is the worst experience I have ever had going to get my nails done . One of the ladys in the shop was so mean. I wanted a full set of long acrylic nails and the first nails she glued on were cut to short so i asked her would she be mad at me if i asked her to glue on some more so the can be longer. She then immediately began to treat me horribly. So was rough trying to remove the nails she glue on and was hurting me . She said she was going to charge me $50 but keep in mind regular acrylic nails start at 20 something dollars. After I realized she was trying to take advantage of me and was treating me with horrible customer service I told her i do not want my nails done anymore. After I said that she quickly tried to take off majority of the nails she glued on while leaving pieces of plastic nail on my finger and my fingers dry from the chemicals. When I walked into the nail salon my natural nails were beautiful I left with horrible looking nails and I was upset and almost wanted to cry. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST ANYONE!!! TO THIS NAIL SALON and I wish I got the womens name but she did have a blunt cut bob!! So be aware when you go to dekalb nails.If you do still chose to go my friend suggested me to Andy. I went around 1pm and there were about 6 people already being serviced. It seemed like a lot for a Thursday afternoon.  There was not a wait. They seemed well staffed. The lady started working on my gel mani right away. I haven't had my nails done in about a year. I don't maintain then like I should so keep in my they looked a hot mess. The lady was finished with my nail in 15-20 minutes. She didn't have to spend a great deal of time on me but I would have liked for her to pay attention to detail. She lacked detail in a major way. I felt like she could've manicured my nails better. There was skin still left on the side of my nail. I also had to tell her to paint the sides of my nail because they were missing polish. There was polish on my skin. Annnnd she didn't put not a lick of lotion on my hands. No massage either. Needless to say, I don't have to go back. I am someone who typically puts a review when they are unhappy. But this place left me so incredibly happy and I am a picky person. First I went in with Nails that were extra leaning from the last place and I am so ticklish on my feet. Michelle (I believe that was her name) did an amazing job on my pedicure and my eyebrows. Andy worked hard on my nails to fix the mistakes of the last place. He wasn’t able to fix them entirely but he did a great job. I was so pleased when I left. I've been going here 2+years. Great work, great speed, and great customer service. Kelly do my nails and Michelle do my feet. Amy is the owner and she is very sweet. But I looooovvvveeee Kelly and Michelle. If Kelly is not there Amy is the ONLY one that can do my nails. I'm not soooo picky bout my feet but I prefer Michelle. Read Less

I finally found my nail salon! And the best part it is close to my house. I came on a Saturday afternoon and usually nail salons are busy around this time but this one wasn't! I was so happy about that. My baby sister and I got pedicures. They did a great job especially with my 10 year old sister. I kinda wished I would've got a manicure, I was looking at all the other customers manicures and they look SO good. The prices are also affordable. I paid $27 for me and my sister. I don't get my nails done much because it's difficult to find a place where the nail technicians are nice, efficient, and skilled. It's located in this quiet strip mall that's barely noticeable but I decided to go to it instead of LT nails in Decatur. I am very picky about where I go. Even though Dekalb Nails doesn't have a website and just a barely maintained Facebook page, I noticed that they treated their customers well and were into customer satisfaction/interaction with the amount of giveaways/events they had. I didn't have an appointment but our of group of three (guys and girls) walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly greeted, seated, and taken care of. There was a girl who sat at the front desk and I asked her if they did gel nails and she said, "Yes," in good spirits. I forgot to ask the nail technicians for their names but I will next time. At first, I only wanted a gel manicure. I was seated with the nail technician who looked at my nails. I asked how much it cost for a pedicure as well and she broke it down for me. Mani/pedi was $25 and the gel color nail service was $15 totaling to $40. Ecstatic, I asked if I could go ahead and do that, and she took me over to the spa chair and brought another nail technician to do my pedicure. By this time, I already had on cuticle softening gel and warming mitts, but the nail technician who did my manicure even took off my boots for me and carried my purse before we started the session. I was surprised because I'm not used to being pampered! I'm a very understanding and nice customer but they kept telling me to relax. Eventually, I did and we all ended up chatting and the nail technicians were very nice. The nail technician who worked on my pedicure is younger, in her late teens/early 20s and was extremely fast with painting my toes but her job was immaculate. She had asked me what color I wanted (I forgot to choose my colors) and I told her I liked hot pink. She went and chose a very neon hot pink that looks amazing now that I think about it. The manicurist spoke more and I liked that she was thorough with what she wanted me to do. She actually applied the gel polish while standing up, and even helped me pull my pant legs down while I washed my hands.I think the price and service quality definitely match up and I have even considered coming back to get my nails done regularly. I just hope every future experience will be just as good! Overall, it was $70 for three pedicures, one manicure with a gel polish service. I can't stop staring at my nails (which are a mood polish by the way) because they look so nice. I'd definitely recommend this place. I want to experiment with 3D nail art so we'll see how it goes from there. Read Less
