Huge language barrier. I went in and asked for a full set and also if they had the cat eye nail polish. I was asked if I would like a manicure to go with that and I agreed. After the manicure was started the nail teeth pulled out black nail polish without applying the acrylic first. I asked about this and was told that I never asked for a full set that I only wanted the polish asked which wasn't the case at all. I was then moved elsewhere and nicked 3 times! Afterwards I went dinner where my nail polish literally peeled off my thumbs! Of course they were closed by then and i don't live anywhere near this place so I couldn't go back to get them to fix it. Went here for a fill and apparently the guy didn’t understand because he ripped off every single nail I had, along with a piece of my finger. I still have a chunk of acrylic hanging off my skin under my new nails. Then not only did he charge my for an entire new set but he charged me for taking them off too. 2 years worth of nail growth gone. My favorite nail salon in Statesboro! I love the people here, Huy is very outgoing and friendly and always makes me laugh. The whole family who owns and operates it are just wonderful people. This is the best place to get a manicure or pedicure because they TAKE THEIR TIME with every single customer. Yes, you may have to wait but it’s definitely worth it. I took my daughter to star nails for her birthday because it had a 4.9 rating. We would've went to a 5 star place but they were closed, so this seemed like the next best thing. First of all the pricing was ridiculous. Second of all she was worked on by 3 different people, so it made it confusing for what she wanted. Third we walked in and was basically left there. I realize we were walk ins but welcome your customers and tell them how long they will have to wait. When she fin...ally got her nails done they charged her more for one nail being a different color. Last when she got home 3 days after her first nail popped off. Now she's only had them on 1 week and the rest are starting to pop off. I love this place I get pedicures here and they always take their time doing everything from the scrubs to the massages to the actual toes... they do a good job and are very polite and nice to me they are the best place in Statesboro. 36 weeks pregnant and the massage was exactly what I needed !!! Everyone in the nail salon was attentive to my needs. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted and directed to one of the spa chairs. The additional features on the spa chair was excellent to include the options of acupuncture, stiff shoulder, lower back massage, and the lower body air bag. I stopped at Star Nails on my way back to Savannah and they did an awesome job. I was pressed for time and needed my nails done. An older gentleman did my SNS nails and I was very pleased. How in the hell do you charge 25.00 dollars JUST for black tips on my toes! 30.00 for the pedicure that includes polish! so a total of 55.00. I would have brought my own polish if I knew their polish was 25.00 for just the tip of a toe nail that is barely there to begin with. NEVER again!
