I’ve been here a couple of times, nails turned out fine, customer service though was terrible! Most recently, I called on a Friday to make a Saturday appointment. Given potential weather conditions I asked if they were even going to be open. They said yes and took my appointment. I showed up for my appointment and they were closed. No call. No updates. No voicemail saying they’d be closed. I showed up again an hour later, with one employee in, on the phone with someone (not a customer). She was rude in saying that they were closed and didn’t know when or if they’d open. I've only ever loved one other nail salon this much. But this one just so happens to be in my neighborhood so it takes the cake. I would recommend that you set an appointment before going because they can be busy at times and if you happen not to have one you're screwed. I almost lost my love for the place because of a situation where I didn't have an appointment and the way that an employee handled the situation. I called and got a same day appointment on a Saturday. They were ready for me when I arrived. Service was prompt and great. My pedicurist even told me that she wouldn't recommend me adding on the $8 callus remover treatment. She didn't think I need it. At the time of this review it has been a full 7 days and my toenail polish has not chipped. The shop is very well lit and very clean. While it was my 1st time in Polished, I could tell most of the other patrons were regulars based on the personal conversations being had. Yes I was eavesdropping. I'll be back to Polished very soon. I am giving this place 2 stars and that's being generous because the actual quality of work is good. Risa and many of the technicians (excluding Pinky) are pleasant and very skilled. The problems arise once you’re at the counter. My issues almost always culminate with the lady that does the eyebrow threading. There is this matter-of-factly tone as if she’s somehow doing you (the paying customer) a favor. One time I booked an appointment and recorded it in my calendar and when I arrived there for my appointment I was told that I wasn't in the book. The lady said that she could see where my name had been penciled in, but was erased. HUH? I was asked if I had telephoned in and cancelled. I had not. Well no apology, no nothing. They offered to fit me in with the first available technician and I waited two hours to get only 1/2 of the service I requested. Lastly the loyalty program is a joke. There are so many terms and conditions to use the discount that it’s not worth the trouble. What's sad is on average I spend $98 per visit for services ($1,176 annualized) and that doesn’t include gratuity. Polished objected to honoring my $20 discount that took me 3 years (I know right) to accrue because I failed to disclose that I was using my discount at the time I scheduled the services. I really would like to support this women-owned business but to be treated poorly when I’m attempting to treat myself is counterproductive. Polished is one of my favorite nail and beauty lounges. This place is very relaxing, upscale, and friendly...great service. It is located in the village shopping area. Parking is fair...the times I have visited the area I was able to park close by right in front of the business or not too far down.This area is typically my one stop shop due to the multiple businesses that are there. I walked in the first time was taken care of by Cindy. I was told on future visits it is best to make an appointment, which I am okay with. I typical come here for a pedicure and eyebrows threaded by Liz. The total is around $31. Cindy is amazing, very personable and skilled, and gets the job done. Due to my budget I had to cut down on my frequent trips here but I look forward to returning soon and I hope Cindy is still there. Terrible customer service!!!!! I had been to this location a few years ago, and I had promised myself to never go back due to the horrible customer service I had received. However, last weekend, I was in a time crunch and needed quick service so I went again because it is very conveniently located for me. I also figured that maybe they had improved their customer service. Not in the least!!! It´s been a while since i went to this place but i just joined Yelp and I thought it was a good opportunity to share my experience. I went to Polished Beauty Lounge to fix my nails on my wedding day and also my mom´s. I made a reservation 1 week in advanced. When we first arrived, I told the lady on the front my name so she can look up my reservation, after a while looking and acting weird and nervous she just asked my to sit down and wait. Apparently my reservation was not on the system, after waiting for a while they finally call us. A lady started with my hands and after a couple minutes working on me, another client came in to the salon and she just stooped fixing my nails and change to this other woman that just came in. Another person finished my hands and when she was going to start on my feet they change again and a third woman did my feet. I didn't like at all that they change the person three times! After a couple days of having the nail polish on my toenails, i decided to take it off, and what i found: toenail fungus! Enjoyable and clean service and atmosphere.  Top knotch job by Pinky and the guy who's very nice and hospitable.  Love the clean, pure decor and quality products.  I was also able to get my brows threaded which is hard to locate these days.  They use to have mimosas on Sat or Sun which was a treat.  All in all, if you get a chance to experience Polished, you won't be disappointed.  Plus great eateries in the same plaza to enjoy after your services. I stopped in here on Sunday afternoon because I was already in the area. They were moderately busy, but not packed. Two ladies at the front desk glared at me as I came in and asked what I wanted and if I had an appointment. I responded that I didn't have an appointment (I rarely make appointments at nail salons - I understand you often have to wait if you're a walk-in). I thought about leaving and going elsewhere, but I decided to wait. The girl who did my nails did my manicure first - she was very nice (unlike many of the other employees appeared, with scowls on their faces), but I felt like she rushed through it. She barely cleaned up my cuticles at all. And unfortunately, 2 days later my gel polish ($35) is already chipping. She also did my pedicure. This place is really cute with the white couches and blue and pink decor, but not gonna lie - I missed the comfy massage chairs that you typically find in a nail salon. I prefer those to the hard, awkward bench I sat on for my pedicure. The pedicure also felt somewhat rushed. I paid $60 total for the mani/pedi combo. Possibly a bit higher priced than other salons, for subpar service and some extremely rude vibes from some employees. I will not be back. Read Less

Polished is a really great salon that does really quality work. I constantly have a gel manicure and the ones I've gotten here last considerably longer than those I've gotten elsewhere. The whole staff is super friendly and accommodating! Liz does a great job with brow threading. My brows look better than they have in a long time. My team and I purchased a $50 gift certificate for our manager to get a pedicure for Christmas 2014. Shortly afterward, she had to have surgery on her feet and couldn't render services until her feet completely healed. When she was ready, the certificate had already expired. I love love love the manicurist here! Her name is Pinky. And she is fabulous! The shop is really cute and always clean. Prices are reasonable and the services are performed in a timely professional manner. This is a great spot for a relaxing, English speaking experience. Pinky is very knowledgeable about nail care and healthy practices. She is not a "yes girl" technician who just let's you go out in these streets looking crazy. So when it came time to find I new nail salon because of yet another disappointing experience, I thought it would take a while.Luckily a co-worker suggested Polished Beauty Lounge to me. I already knew ahead of time that I would probably need an appointment based on what my co-worker said.Once we ( my fiancé and I) arrived , we were greeted and told to have a seat while our nail techs were getting ready for us. We scheduled manicures and pedicures and we loved the experience and have been coming back for almost 6 months now. Each time, I am greeted and treated with the same warmth and professionalism as the first visit. I always always book my appointments with Christina or Christie. Both of them have such a high attention to detail and make sure my nails are flawless!They both work only on weekends so that's the only drawback, if I had to say.The salon's decor is very chic as the colors are pink, pale blue, and white. They have a large assortment of nail polish colors so finding something you like wont be a problem. After each service is rendered, you will see a girl sanitize the station in preparation for the next client. As well as sanitized tools used for each client. This is a necessity and I was glad to see it.So in conclusion, if you are looking for a nail salon that employs skillful and welcoming nail techs, is very clean, and creates a chic and upscale environment, this is your place! I'm a new regular of Polished so I can finally give a thorough review.Appointments - I would recommend that you always make an appointment. I'm usually started on right when I arrive but I wasn't seated until 4:30pm today for my 4:00pm appointment. However the tech did greet me with a smile, apology & offered me a mimosa.Cleanliness - Very clean. The table tops are always spotless as well as the floor & pedicure area. I've never had an issue with the tools used either, as they're always sanitized.Customer Service - They're a fun & friendly gang! Some days are more quiet than others but I always get friendly service during my visits. My favorites are Jennifer, the manager & the guy with the funky hair. :) My techs are always very gentle & make sure I'm well taken care of!Services - Manis, pedis, waxing, threading, acrylic & gel nails. I don't think I missed anything. A full list can be found on their website. Prices are a little more than most places but you get what you pay for. They have a large variety of regular polishes & gel polishes. Oh & I can't forget - mimosas on Sundays. :)Hours - My only con is that they're not open on Mondays, but they are open until 6:00pm on Sundays so that makes up.Overall - I love this place! I have been here quite a few times always for the convenience (location) and reasonable prices; however, I found myself saying quite a few times that I would not go back and after my last visit, I am finally sticking to it. This business is not run well at all. I have made appointments and waited over 15 minutes past the time and I have also walked in and been taken immediately. I even asked the manager if it was better to make an appointment or not and she said it didn't matter. Although I ask for the same service (a regular spa pedicure) there is no consistency in what I get and how long it is even when I have seen the same person 2 times in a row - it all seems to depend on how busy they are at the time. I do love that they offer threading here and it is the only place in the area that I know of that does this so I will miss getting this service, but I waited over 20 minutes for my brows to be threaded this last time and I waited due to some of the manager's friends coming in - they arrived after me but were seen before me. I have actually provided feedback to the manager before - in a nice way trying to let her know that I think they have a great place and concept but it is run poorly and the level of service is too unpredictable. I went here a few weeks ago for the first time and I an torn between whether I should come back or not. I'm guessing the young man running the front desk at the time of my arrival was new and unsure of what he was doing, since he looked confused and unsure of what to say. I felt uneasy. Then the phone rings, he answers but kept chatting and left me there to wait until he was done. Once he was done he tells me to ""Hold on"" and goes to the back into a room and I guess he was asking a question to someone back there. Still not knowing where I am suppose to go, I was greeted by another worker who seemed more familiar with the place and how it's operated. She starts a pedicure bowl for me, which I thought the young man would do since he wasn't really doing anything. I sit down and she starts my pedi. She was terrific! The massage was actually a massage and not just rubbing lotion on my feet and the polish looked great! Which is always plus. Therefore, I don't know if it's worth coming back. If I do come back, let's hope the young man at the front will know what he is doing next time so I can get started more smoothly then having someone else jump in and do it. Read Less

I went to Polished as a referral from my stylist. Expecting good things, I was open to the experience. Although she stated that she would not return due to the unfriendly attitudes she experienced, I wanted to form an opinion of my own. The pedicure I received did not last at least ONE week before looking old. I regularly get pedicures every two weeks, and I know a good pedicure when I receive one. The young lady who did my pedicure said ""hello"", and that was about it. Friendliness is not one of their strong points. I was shocked to feel the same coldness with my threading experience. Fortunately, the young lady who did my manicure was much better and I enjoyed her services. She was friendly and professional. She also gave me some great advice with caring for your nails when wearing the gel polish. She was great. It appears that Polished promotes itself as an upscale establishment. If that is the case, professionalism and personalized service need to be the norm and not the exception. I would much rather spend more money at a real spa than to waste my money at a place that just ""plays"" spa. Although there were a few more things that influenced this review, I won't go into them. I'll just say that Polished really should invest in some intense customer service workshops with their staff. Fancy decor and unique treatment names will never be a substitute for good service. Went here as a birthday treat for my best friend. Since I get my nails done (north of the city) once a week or so, I don't mind paying for exceptional service. The spa did not live up to the hype. We booked the first appointment of the day a week in advance but were asked to take our feet out of the pedicure bowl and start with manicures instead so another client could be accomodated. The guy who did my nails (Tom I think) was good even though he was new. My friend's nail technician was not as friendly and would interrupt our conversation to the point where we were uncomfortable. We did not receive the entire ""sugar treat"" service (they were out of the souffle lotion, only had one hot towel to wrap, etc- and nothing smelled sweet and sugary like the menu of services claimed.) As the first appointments I would have expected them to be a little more prepared. I spent $130, including tip, on two sugar treats and would not go back. Read Less

Polished is a bunch of hype! I was not impressed at all. The color scheme inside the place is nice, but the baseboards were dirty and so was the floor. The service was lackluster as well. It is overpriced, especially when there are tons of nails spas in the Atlanta area. If you want an upscale atmosphere, it may be best to just find an actual spa. I visited many nail shops, spas, spa schools, etc. Polished simply was not impressive at all and it certainly did not live up to expectations of a ""posh and chic"" nail spa. Read Less

WOW! WOW! This place is a princess Paradise!!!!! Clean,sanitary and entertaining. Besides getting excellent manicure and pedicure,i was really impressed with the staff...very accommodating and pleasant to chat with. This is a no no, as the Technicians at Polished have a large Client base. Therefore, it would behoove you to schedule an appointment.I scheduled my appointment and returned for services. The owner and nail technician listened closely to my request and provided the services exactly as requested. And WOW can they polish. I have never had my nails polished quite this well. My appointment was at 5:30 and I was out of there before 6:30. I had the powder gel nails as a service. The cost is competitve and the quality is great. I would recommend Polished to anyone. I've been to Polished several times and had 2 small birthday/girls day parties there. All of my visits have been great. The space is beautiful, clean and bright. My manicure lasts twice as long here than any other I've ever had--I don't know what they do or why, but it just lasts longer. Overall, it's clean and nice looking, but they're slow and their customer service leaves MUCH to be desired!!! I'd heard good things about polished and wanted to go there. My sister got me a gift certificate for my birthday and I was excited. So, I go in and the girl at the desk didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Then when she finally did, she was less than friendly. I made my appointement anyway. Go back for my mani-pedi and again, the girl at the desk was rude. I asked how long the wait would be, she snapped, ""We're obviously very busy. I don't know."" Annoyed, I sat down and waited....for an hour and 12 minutes! Finally, got what I came for and left. The nail tech, Cherry, was very nice but work was far from stellar. Apparently, she was fresh out of nail school. About 3-4 hours after I left, I noticed my polish was chipping. Of course the salon was closed. I then go back two days later when they're finally open. I was happy because there were only 3 customers there so this shouldn't take very long. I walk in and stand at the desk for nearly 5 minutes before anyone even asked why I was there. Finally, someone says, ""We'll be with you soon. Please have a seat."" The receptionist comes over and rolls her eyes. She asked what was wrong, as if I immediately annoyed her. I explain that I was there two days ago and my polish is terribly chipped and it started the evening I was there. She says she remembers but because they are terribly busy, they, ""..can't deal with it right now."" I look around again. Still only three people in there. So I ask when it can be done. She said, ""Just come back in a couple hours, I guess. But right now won't work. We're just too busy."" She walked off. I walked out., never to return again. Read Less
