Kelly is the only LMT that I'll see. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients well being. This by far was one of the best gifts I have ever received. My schedule finally cleared enough for me to take advantage of this beautiful facility and I will be back. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the adorable Ren. I was early but he made sure I was taken care of and comfortable as I waited. My two girlfriends and I stopped by Milan Day Spa on a girls' weekend. The front desk hostess was absolutely lovely. She immediately welcomed us and made us feel welcomed. She worked with us to find openings in the schedule to allow us to maneuver three massages (staggered one after another across 2 hours) next day (which is admittedly a challenge). She was accommodating and helpful in making great recommendations on other services as well as which massage to select. She off...ered some great local tips on where to grab bottomless mimosas to bring to the salon while waiting for services as well as where to grab breakfast sandwiches in the future. She rocked and really made our experience. I had an excellent aromatherapy massage that actually lasted longer than the 60 minutes. My friends had "okay" deep tissue massages which were nice based on ambience and overall positive experience but felt the actual massages were subpar from previous experiences - including not really being deep tissue and not focusing on areas they'd specifically asked to be focused on. I was sexually assaulted by a male masseuse at this establishment. The owner swore to me that they had never had an incident with this person before mine, however I later discovered through a previous Yelp review that this was not the truth and that I was put in a dangerous situation that could have been prevented. On a girls weekend in Savannah a friend booked all 4 of us to have massages. We were supposed be in the same room as we had scheduled couples massages but my male masseuse did not show up until 25 minutes after our appointment time. He brought me into a separate room by myself. I had seen him much earlier in the waiting room and he offered no explanations as to why he was so late to collect me and why I was not being brought into the room with my friend as we had arranged.   Half way through my massage I felt his hand run across my underwear as he moved to work on my other leg. Shortly after I felt my underwear being removed and I immediately jumped up to discover the man's head in between my legs as he attempted to perform oral sex on me. I yelled out and he looked up at me and responded that he thought what he was doing was appropriate. I demanded he stop and then tried to remain calm and did not alert him that I was going to report him as I was in a very vulnerable position half naked in a private room with this man and in shock from what had just happened. I left the room before any of my friends finished their massages and told them what had happened as soon as they came out. My friends reported the incident to the manager and owner as I walked outside not wanting an encounter the employee who violated me. The manager was appalled and immediately called the police and I returned to the salon to report the full story. The owner told me she had never had an incident with him and that he was a very highly regarded masseuse. She actually called him back in to tell his side of the story with me there which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and was also pointless because he had nothing to say. The manager informed us that they were aware that the man had bipolar disorder and that he had been acting strange that morning but they had received no complaints about him that day so they had allowed him to take clients. They could not explain why he had been allowed to disappear and then take me into a separate room when I should have been in a couples massage with other people present during my massage. After my incident, the man was let go but it was a year too late. I have now discovered a Yelp review from  January 2017 stating a similar account of sexual assault involving the same employee reported to the owner who had only put the masseuse on "probation". She chose to keep him on her staff knowing  he was capable of sexually violating her trusting clients and did not disclose this information of the prior incident to myself or the police. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had and it was a direct result of this owner not doing her due diligence and protecting her clients. Read Less

I'm bewildered.  This started with the confirmation calls.  The front desk had my appointment date wrong and began calling the day before I was scheduled.  When I brought it up the woman stuttered and then said "oh yes! I see it here".  Okay, the next day a text comes through confirming my appointment, 4 hours later a call.  Omg, I'm on vacation, leave me alone already. The next morning I go in for my appointment, I walk in and the front desk lady says "hello, Mrs. _____" (not my name) Really?  Are you kidding?!  So I tell her my name and she gets a bit flustered and says "of course".  My partner had purchased a massage, mani/pedi, and a facial package and had told me champagne with chocolates was included.   I was really excited.Front Desk Lady said, "you'll get your massage first then we'll do your manicure and pedicure."  I said fine, thinking the facial would be later.The massage by Keisha was fabulous, truly wonderful.  When she finished she walked me downstairs.  Suddenly front desk lady says "wait! You're scheduled for a facial, too, aren't you?" I tell her yes, so she walks me back upstairs and leaves me on the sofa.  I sat there for literally 25 minutes. The lady that did my facial was very apologetic about my wait and gave me an amazing service. My skin felt so nice for the next couple of days. She walked me downstairs to have my nail services.  Front desk lady said, "I'm so sorry, but we've had a nail technician call in sick and there's no chance we can do your pedicure today."  I went ahead with my manicure, at the end the technician told me to continue turning the drying light on three more times as she had to go, she had another client to see to.   (The technician told me the polish would last two weeks, mine is chipped horribly after 3 days, and I don't use chemicals or do physical labor.)When I got up to leave, I asked to sign the credit card slip so I could tip the staff, front desk lady said "it's been taken care of!  He loves you!"  It seemed weird, but I left. I found my partner and he confirmed my suspicions, he had not left a tip ahead of time.  He asked how my champagne and chocolates were, what?  Nope, didn't get those. We went back in together and she told him she couldn't access the charges.  He called after we got home and they would only refund him $15.00 for the champagne and chocolates. I've been under the weather and couldn't seem to kick the soreness from laying in bed, I called this spa and they were able to get me in within two hours! I saw Vicky for an aromatherapy massage, I explained what I have been feeling physically and also with a 9 month old baby my back was extra sore. She exceeded my expectations. The kind & gracious Catherine was accommodating, due to the delay w/ Food & Wine Festival & The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & my trying to find parking for over an hr. She said not to worry & they would see me when I get there. My anti-aging treatment & dermaplaining with Ursula was amazing & am an Esty myself & worked @ med spas & 5 resorts, such as Montage, Palmetto Bluff & have very high standards, as I can go anywhere & have access to the latest in procedures. Despite the fact that I was literally the ONLY nail customer, I had to wait a half an hour for my appointment to start.  The girl then rushed through and did the appt in half an hour by cutting a few corners.  For example, my hand and arm massage was about 2 min and the polish was a bit sloppy. Additionally, she only had 1 light box (gel manicure) and instead of getting another one or moving it back and forth so I could sit comfortably, she left it right in the middle of the table while I awkwardly twisted my wrists in and out of it.  Wish I would have read the yelp reviews before booking the appt.  Quality was on par with a discount Vietnamese shop. I went here to have my nails done for my wedding. For what the place looks like and what they charge, I expected way better. I had fingerprints in my gel polish, and it wasn't even. Thankfully you weren't able to see my nails up close on my wedding day. They also charged a pretty hefty amount for what was made to seem like complimentary drinks. I enjoyed every minute of my time here..on yesterday my wife decided that she wanted to surprise me with something new. She took me out to eat and we ended up to the sister property of this place. She had already spoken to someone at the sister property in pooler and they told her she didnt have to book an appointment just to come in at anytime between 2:30 and 4:30 because there was no appointment. When we got there the receptionist proceeded to tell us that the young lady t...hat told my wife the information had left and that we needed to make an appointment for the service so she couldnt take us. My wife explained that we were from SC and that she had drove all the way there just to surprise me. She fakely appologized and said for future references make sure we book an appointment and that she was sorry she couldnt take us because she couldnt leave the front desk and that she was taking the spot of Savannah(the young lady who told my wife to bring me). It was upsetting. My wife called this property and spoke to the receptionist. She was upset that this situation occured. She put us on hold and when she picked back up she told us to come in as soon as possible and that they would take us. When we got there we were greeted with the most calming smile and the sweetest hellos. I went in and they passed me over to a young lady named Keyana. Worst front desk staff ever. I called earlier in the day to make an appointment for a massage. The young lady that I spoke with (she didn't give her name) offered me 12 pm and I wasn't able to make that time because of a prior engagement. I asked for 2 pm and was given the "ok," asked what type of massage and gave my gift card number for the confirmation and hold of the appointment (My employees had decided to get me a gift card for the spa for my birthday). I received a phone call later that day to confirm that I was still coming the next day for an appointment that I had made about 4 hours earlier. The problem was that the person who had made the appointment had keyed it in for 4 pm. I told the young lady that time wouldn't work for me because I would be working at that time, and she replied "well, this is the time that you made it for." I told her that I didn't want the appointment anymore and that I would be stopping by to ask about a refund for the gift card. When I walked over to the spa, which is a block and a half from my job, I was greeted by the same rude woman from the phone. I expressed my displeasure with the situation and then she looked at the screen without a word, and then told me that the appointment (in the 5 minutes that it had taken to walk over there) had magically reappeared and they could get me in if I wanted to come. I told her no, and she DROPPED a pen on the counter along with a sticky note pad and told me to write down my name and number for the refund. This is a prime example of how people that are at the front desk can drive away or bring in business. In this case, I won't ever use their services. I will not recommend them to anyone either. The receptionist started out nice but became rude and sarcastic very quickly and even made me set an appointment to come back 3 hours later to get my toe nail polish fixed that got smudged during my massage there ! (I am tourist and transportation is not that easy) We asked for a pedicure and she assumed we wanted the cheapest one- so my toes still have tons of dry skin on them (this is even after I told the lady doing the pedicure), I expected a much better experience. After having not so successful hair experiences, I decided to give Milan a try since my friend recently went and left looking fab as ever, so I got an appointment with Tara. Let me tell you, I'm never going to anyone else from now on! Tara was all ready for me when I arrived and when I showed her my examples of what I wanted, my hair turned out better than I could ever imagine. I find that sometimes conversations with a hairdresser can be relatively kinda awkward and they don't really listen on what you tell them. But, Tara was so sweet and made the whole time feel like I was talking to a friend and defiantly gave good advice on what would be best for styling my hair and how to keep it looking great!Great pricing and will defiantly come back! I was visiting Savannah and got a deep tissue massage after a 6 hour drive. My shoulder was hurting and my back felt strained. I usually get a swedish massage when I travel because I've had some deep tissue massages that hurt because of too much pressure. But the hotel recommended this spa so I decided to take a risk. It was one of The Best massages I have ever had. Benjamin was a master and I walked out of there feeling like I was walking on a cloud. The salon was quiet and soothing but I had the first appointment in the morning so don't know what it's like other times of day. I was in the middle of a haircut & color. They called me rudely asking where I was. I told them when I would be there. Well I will start by saying the spa is very nice, beautiful actually. And the ladies that did our facials were extraordinary! Which was why i assumed the salon would HAVE to be some of the very best around and I chose to have my hair done there as well. Since my husband purchased me a $400 gift certificate for Christmas i chose to treat my friend which is also my boss whom has never experienced any services like this before. How exciting right! Wrong.  Prior to our visit I called and talked with the owner for at least a good 10 mins bc I am so very nervous when it comes to someone doing my hair due to a bad experience about 10 years ago that left me traumatized with a fear of salons basically. She assured me she had the most amazing and experienced salon team around which is what i had already assumed. After 4 hours of chemical burns and a color that turned out EXACTLY what I stressed i didnt want (yellow) and was assured I would not get, I was finally done and had all I could take of being burned with the flat iron on top of chemical burns all over my head. Walked over to find my friend had been turned ORANGE and red, and nothing at all like the balayage photo that was shown in the beginning. After going outside to cry my eyes out I went back inside to go pay our bill which was 130 and 170 along with 2 $55 facials (these prices were given to us not even 30 mins before) and the owner asked how we were splitting the difference. NEVER did i expect to hear her say $200 when we aked what the difference was! So $600 and all we have is embarrassing hair that we now have to go pay to have redone and we both took a day off so even more $, and $600 less in my pocket. I have 4 kids i have a million other ways to have spent $600 this was supposed to be something nice and a break from life for a bit and it was a nightmare to say the least.  Well after several requests I finally got an itemised print out of charges only to find I had 2 haircuts for myself apparently when the tips of the bottom of my hair was only cut off in 2 snips bc it had been burned, my friend was charged for a haircut she didnt get (3 at $35 each we are over at this point) and we were charged more for the oliplex which was only supposed to be $30 extra each. After basically begging for my money back and refusing to let the same ones redo my hair another day, (who would!?!) i finally got a small fraction of it which was only due to they had been caught for over charging me several times. Still over $400 in and had to pay to have my hair redone and cut yesterday about 5 inches bc the ends were just so destroyed and we havent even gotten to have my friends hair redone bc its all simply too much to pay for at once. In the end it will have cost $1000 atleast and they will have not only gotten away with robbing me and ripping me off, but destroying what was supposed to be something exciting and awesome to 2 very hard working stressed mamas that never get to do these things bc we put ourselves very last in our homes. It wouldve been fair if the entire amount was refunded or atleast enough to cover the cost of us having to go elsewhere but I guess she didnt think we deserved that. Read Less

I had the absolute worst pedicure of my life. I normally wouldn't post a negative review but I don't want others to have a negative experience. Not only did it look like I polished my toes myself, the tech almost clipped the skin off my toe underneath. Thank goodness I felt it pinch and said something. The polish was uneven and goopy. One of the best massages I've had. The interior of the space is pretty and calming. I happened to come in without an appointment and got seen right away. Vicky is a massage miracle worker - she is very in tune with the body and how to help relieve pain. I have a severe neck and shoulder injury and was in horrible pain. Vicky was able to relieve my pain and work through the multiple muscle spasms I had. If you can get time with her, I would highly recommend! Read Less

Great service, excellent massage/facial/pedicure, and awesome staff. I surprised my wife for her birthday and the lady at the front desk was accommodating. The massage therapists did a spectacular job and made my wife and I feel very comfortable and relaxed. After the massage/facial, they even allowed us to squeeze in unscheduled pedicures. The staff members go above and beyond with their service. I would recommend for others and I will be visiting again anytime I am back near River Street. Read Less

Where do I begin with the HORRENDOUS front desk staff!  As the matron of honor of a bride whose 4 appointments were scheduled for Friday but were cancelled for a storm and rescheduled to Saturday for 2 appointments, this place sure is not accommodating to their mistakes.  They changed the appointments to 12:45 on Saturday, but called and left a voicemail saying it was now 1:45. We called to double check after listening to said voicemail, and again were told 1:45 by their staff.  We were parking the car in downtown Savannah during a beer festival at 1:15 when the salon calls the bride asking where we were because our appointment was at 12:45.  Umm, no, you told us 1:45 on voicemail and when we called to confirm.So now, they could only do 1 of our services due their screw up. The bride was only able to get a manicure, no pedicure for her wedding because they couldn't accommodate her until 4pm despite 2  nail technicians sitting around while we got our manicures and 3 empty pedicure chairs.  Then the salon had the audacity to charge us for pedicures that we didn't even receive because of their unorganized and incompetent front staff.  The only redeeming quality to allow 1 star for this spa, is that the nail technicians were extremely meticulous and wonderful.  I'd recommend the nail services, but the front desk staff should be replaced with people who actually acknowledge their mistakes and do their best to accommodate customers that said mistakes were made on.  Bad management and staff training on their part. Anniversary couples massage- this was are 20th anniversary gift to each other. We got a deep tissue massage, and it was a very good service. From the time we walked in they were very courteous to us.the place was clean and well kept up,the couples room was well kept up and clean as well. Am surprised that this place only received three and a half stars! I had a nice experience. The gils at the front desk were super nice and the mimosa and wine they offer while in the waiting area was a nice surprise!I had a reflexology done and my technician Christina was awesome. 4.5 stars- for massage onlyMilan Day Spa was a welcomed find after a long travel day. Upon entry from the street, you will find yourself on the lower level with the restrooms, reception's desk, hair stylists' chairs, and nail stations. There is also a small area with couches to wait while waiting for your service. On the second level, up a flight of wooden stairs, you will find another waiting area with couches and the massage rooms.If it is your first time visiting, you will be required to fill out a form providing some personal history, i.e. do you have any medical issues, what are your pain spots, etc. and sign a liability waver prior to your massage. For this reason, it is recommended to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to maximize your allotted time.Having opted for a deep tissue, I do appreciate the following:+Mo took time to review my form and understand what I was looking to focus on+Technique - The massage was very methodical. Time was spent to warm up and stretch out the muscles rather than going in to deep to fast ( If you are unfamiliar with deep tissue, if this occurs, it can cause extreme pain and lead to unnecessary bruising)  + Lotion - the lavender scent was smoothing and not overly strong+Scheduling was easy. They use schedulicity.com for bookings, or you could just call them+ Pricing- after looking at several options in downtown Savannah, Milan had one of the cheapest rates and longest massage time (90 minutes) Why not 5? - 90 minutes might be enough for some people; however, for me, I would have liked the option to book 120 minutes- The music- It was a bit odd. Came here for a last minute pedicure right before I went to a wedding in Savannah. A lot of other places were fully booked (I went around 4pmon a Friday) but Milan worked me in. They staff was very nice, offered me champagne, and even went above and beyond to make my boyfriend (who I dragged along) feel welcome. They did a good job, as well. (The neck pillow was a bit too hot though, as I had a red mark in my neck for a few hours following.) Four stars as it was a bit expensive. $55 for a pedicure. Read Less

I had such a  healing and relaxing massage with Christina, a skillful, gifted therapist. The whole experience was a pleasure. We called the same day and were able to get an appt. We were greeted immediately and filled out the requisite paperwork, then shepherded upstairs to our massage therapists. The ambiance of the salon is tranquil and inviting with high ceilings, soothing decor and  scents. If I didn't live so far away I would be here regularly. Read Less

This place deserves zero stars. When I called, I was asked for a credit card number in order to make the reservation. I thought this was strange, but must be an indicator of their esteem. Not a chance. Don't be fooled by this trickery. First of all- this is NOT a spa. This is no better than your run-of-the-mill Asian chop shop. I made a reservation for a spa mani/pedi. When I arrived, there was a gaggle of giggling girls- probably 10 or so- only 3 or 4 who were actually getting services done. The rest were just present for the free booze. It should not be an unreasonable request when you are paying a "spa" for "spa" services that the mindless chatter be kept to a minimum. I attempted to listen to music, but the other patrons were just too loud. Apparently it was a "bridal party", which I was not notified of when I made the appointment. Maybe something that should have been mentioned. However, when not all are actually paying to be there- I'm reluctant to call it as such. "Loiterers" would be a more accurate term. After asking if there was a less noisy time to return, I was met with sympathy but no remedy. I was in a time crunch and I said I would suffer through it. Suffer indeed I did. Two girls apart the loud witches coven, who were not paying customers, had to be asked to vacate the seat that was intended for me. I sat watching another girl sit in the pedicure chair with her shoes on IN THE TUB. Sick. It would make sense to do the pedicure first, but this didn't occur to anyone, so I got the manicure first. I probably saved myself an infection from the crap that girl had on the bottom of her shoes. Towards the middle of my manicure after having to listen to this "bridal party" shriek and squawk for a half hour, I decided I couldn't be there a moment longer. I told the girl that I would be skipping out the pedicure- which from after receiving the manicure- I am satisfied with my decision. Fifty dollars plus a $5 tip (generous for the product received) that could have looked better if I had done it myself-while seizing -in the dark-and in a moving car, is not what I would call a "spa" service. The girl was so nice- but it was shoddy work. There was a clear smudge on one finger, by no fault of my own- that she left hoping I wouldn't notice. I asked it be fixed and she was nice about it, but come on girl, you saw it, I saw it. I shouldn't have to ask. The other nine fingers weren't much better. The polish didn't meet the end of my nails or towards my cuticles, and in some areas, was jagged on the sides. Even if I did live in the area, I'd never darken their doorstep again. Absolute thievery. This "Spa" is clean inside and looks appealing from the street, but buyer beware. You're far better off going to a crappy nail place than wasting money here. This was a harsh review and I ALMOST feel bad for writing it, but it's totally deserved. Read Less

I have been getting pedicures every two weeks for last 2 years in NC but I have to say you have never had a pedicure until you have had one from "Milan's". The warm welcoming staff put you at ease as they take your feet to the next level of perfection.
