I've recently relocated to Savannah, therefore, when a person is new to an area, it's natural to go to yelp, google, etc and look up highly recommended places. My best friend was in town since Thursday and we spent a good portion of Friday and Saturday looking up places to go, but nothing within our price range had a good rating or if they were nice, a mani/pedi cost an arm and a leg. That being said, we didn't find a place. This morning, my mission was just to find a place that was open and decent. Conveniently, luxury nails was open and was in the same plaza as Starbucks. There was a couple decent reviews so I decided to take my chances. 1st the place was overall empty. If my memory serves me right, there were 5 spa chairs, 4 seats for manicures, and only 4 technicians. We were sat right away and maybe waited 5 minutes before someone got us seat/started. 2nd all technicians were very nice. However, i think it was a bit odd that one person did the service of my manicure (Kim) , another did the pedicure (Anna) and then someone else painted my nails (chicken nugget = the guy). They were all very nice so it wasn't an issue except when it came to tipping. I felt obligated to tip all three. I had to ding their rating because it's a bit pricy compared to what I'm used to paying. Gel manicure was $30, I'm use to paying $20. And my pedicure was $40 due to miscommunication. DISCLOSURE: if you look at the menu with scents of mango, lemon, green tea, etc. your pedicure becomes a deluxe pedicure. There are different "deluxe pedicures" but regardless, it's a deluxe pedicure. So the lesson is, no menu=no problem. Regular pedicure is $25, I'm use to paying $18. Additionally, there is no discount for getting both services which was kinda disappointing. Btw, this place is under new management (the reference to a Jessica is related to old management), so if the new management can take that under consideration, that would be great , especially since this will be my go to place. Overall, I had a great experience so I highly recommend any of their technicians. As a consumer paying for a service, communicate to the person providing the service if you're not satisfied with something they're doing. Don't let them finish then attack them on a yelp review. I had to tell Kim and Anna to file my nail a little bit more cuz they were crooked and i noticed that "chicken nugget" forgot the top coat. I'm paying a lot of money. I need to make sure I'm satisfied with what I'm getting. I felt much better after the miscommunication on the regular vs deluxe pedicure once I understood what looking at the menu meant. Read Less
