I got a shellac manicure and pedicure at Crystal four days ago. My pedicure chipped that night. My nails were filed unevenly, my cuticles were cut (bleeding) in two places, and the shellac was painted onto my cuticles, so the polish is already peeling off and looks messy. I did not have the chance to get my nails done before I went on a weeklong vacation down south. I was happy there was a salon within walking distance of the hotel that accepted walk-ins. I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. The gel manicure was terrible. I picked a light shade, and after two coats, the tech was going to apply topcoat. I asked for another coat of polish as my nails looked sheer and streaky. I did get another coat, but it still looked like a third grader had painted my nails. I went ahead and got the pedicure which turned out OK, but my blood was boiling about my fingernails the whole time. I asked if my fingernails could be fixed at all. The tech said that the reason the color looked bad was that I had ridges in my nails. First, the nail tech filed my nails quite a bit before applying the polish. Second, I get my nails done with gel all the time with varying shades of polish, and I have never had this issue before. I was very upset about this experience, but I was too chicken to ask them to take it off the bill. I would not recommend this place for a gel manicure, but going for a basic pedicure with regular polish was fine. Read Less

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I went to Savannah to ELOPE, so I needed to get my nails filled and a pedicure. I walked in an hour before closing, they said no problem!! I didn't realize that it would be such a HORRIBLE experience. The lady gave me a bad attitude. I went with a very simple design. She was in such a rush, they painted my nails while I was getting my toes done. Which normally I would have no problem with, but she totally RUINED my nails. She did fine with the french manicure, but when she glued on the diamond, she did not let it dry. She put so much glue on, that my fingers actually got glued to the machine. She didn't even apologize. She put the top coat on before the glue dried and messed up the polish. Instead of going taking her time to fix it, she dug her fingernails in my polish and put on another top coat. If she didn't have time to do my nails, then she should've said so from the beginning. Pros: - was easy to walk in without an appointment on a Saturday and get a gel mani and quick pedi.- didn't try to sell upgraded services- didn't make small talk (maybe a con for some?)Cons:- didn't line the pedi tub or clean it between customers- not a great manicure. Horrible job. I won't be coming back. It's not worth it at all....... I was discrimated against because of my ethnicity. I came in for a simple pedicure and left with no nail polish on my toes. I had to cut my own toenails because she attempted to file a broken nail instead of cutting it. she never pushed back or cleaned cuticle. when I addressed it the gentleman next to her said ohh u have good  cuticle but we will do it if u want to.... I'm paying for a pedicure that is indeed a part of it... there was no foot massage. She just slathered lotion on my leg..... when it came to polishing that was a fail. the lady next to her took over and that was also a fail... Go somewhere else that's the bottom line!!! trust me!!! Sadly not great...I went in and told the lady what I wanted and she kept trying to have me do the more expensive way of what I wanted. I did get what I wanted, but the quality wasn't good. My nails started to chip and crack the very next day.The customer service wasn't great either. Other than asking what shape I want my nails the ladies who did my nails didn't talk to me. Being one of two customers it felt very awkward.I don't plan on going back and I don't recommend anyone else to go. I don't like leaving a bad review, but I wanted to share my experience. Read Less

I had the best experience at Crystal nails! Le did my nails and she was awesome, I told her I was pampering myself for a big date coming up and we talked all about it as she took her time and throughly did my manicure and pedicure. She was so nice and all of the salon furniture seemed brand new and very up to date. We talked for what felt like hours about her family and mine and she was just so genuinely nice! Also during my visit, an elderly man came in and was very self conscious about his feet because his back couldn't reach down there anymore and he needed help. Staff is very slow. Made an appointment for 4:30 and I didnt get seated till 4:45. I have natural nails and get gel polish. I told the technician that I needed my old gel soaked off and she started trying to file off the polish with an electric file before I stopped her. Then she didnt wait long enough for the acetone to work on my old polish and continued to file off the gel with a coarse file. She continued to my natural nail and made them very thin and brittle...even cracked one of my nails off. She didnt shape my nails evenly either. It took a very long time for her to paint my nails and they weren't even done well. Will not be going back. Read Less

Horrible experience, not just for me but for my friend!!! Please save your money & go elsewhere. It was my first manicure & I watched him  massage others with lotion, push back cuticles, trim hangnails, soak hands etc. I told Kevin what I wanted. I could tell he didn't want to work as he had just finished someone else. I didn't get any of the pre-manicure treatement whatsoever, so I thought it was because of what I selected. I told him it the artificial nail was still too long but he said that it was already short, I had another friend come over to compare saying I wanted her length of nail, so he said yea they're the same. I thought they are NOT the same, mine's still longer. He was really harsh with the grinder. I had to get it shortened by another nail technician that same day. I didn't realize this until the next day that he used the wrong sized nail on my 4th finger! My other 4th finger had a more fitted nail for it!Another friend had her gel nails done & chipped it less than 24 hours of getting it done! Read Less

Visiting Savannah for the weekend and I needed to get the gel taken off my nails. This place was walking distance from my hotel. The gel took forever to get off, but that wasn't the fault of my technician. She was filing the tops of my nails (which I hate) and got my skin a couple times that started bleeding. If you are thinking of doing a bridal party here, DO NOT! My best friend booked this salon 6 months in advance and confirmed her appointment a week prior. We arrived at the salon to find only 3 technicians working and all were occupied by other clients. We waited 15 minutes to be spoken to and we informed them we needed to be done within 3 hours, they the informed us they could not accommodate us. Wonderful experience!! I walked in with 5 people ahead of me and I wondered if I should just move on, but 5 minutes into reading a magazine I was called. The service was great. I always worry about cuticles being butchered, but my tech was so gentle and mindful that I had nothing to worry about. Highly recommend! Read Less

When you go to get your nails done you want to leave feeling prettier not like you wasted your money and unfortunately for me that's how I feel. The people were nice and accommodating for a short notice (I called an hour ahead), the place was cleanish. Not the best but ok for a nail salon. Of course they tried to push the $36 pedicure with the stone massage or something or another that made it "special", they were never clear as to what justified a 50% increase in cost. Until I received the $26 one. Quick wash, hot towels on legs for a minute or so and a quick swipe with a loofah, not even close to getting the callouses, paint my toes and boom, out I went. A week later and my feet have pretty nails but are just as calloused as when I arrived. So I am disappointed. I probably won't return when there are so many other choices in Savannah. Read Less

Seemed understaffed. Used a dirty towel with someone else's fingernails on it for my manicure and they used dial soap and toilet paper between my toes for my deluxe pedicure. Other than that, the staff was nice and my manicure and pedicure came out pretty good. Read Less

After walking ALL day in Savannah... in shoes that were not the best choice, I needed someone to rub my toes!  And well, my husband just wasn't feeling it.  So, he immediately called and booked me an appointment to the only place that seemed to be able to squeeze me in!We took a bike ride to get here, thankfully because I couldn't walk another block.  This place is actually on the side of Drayton Tower, so don't try the front door.They were extremely nice, offered water or wine... it was very quite and comfortable.  I expected them to rush thru the pedicure because it was very close to closing time.  But to my surprise, he took his time on my toes.  He asked what hurt the worse... and he made sure to spend extra time on my heels.  I walked out of this place with a new energy! The price was reasonable to me (husband was a little shocked), but we are in a touristy place and it was close to closing.  I would have probably paid twice as much! Read Less

I try to never post negative reviews but I would never go back to this salon. While trimming my cuticles the tech clipped me pretty bad, I winced in pain, but she kept working on it. I pulled back and saw it was bleeding. No big deal, it was an accident. But when she tried to wipe away the blood and then paint over it I became concerned. I tried to explain sanitation to the tech, but she insisted on  painting the bleeding finger. What grosses me out is that she was going to use a community bottle of nail polish on my STILL bleeding finger 1) other people have touched this and 2) who wants my blood on them?! I stopped the manicure and my friend cancelled our pedicures. Working in healthcare I've seen some nasty infections and I take universal precautions seriously. Walked in around 1pm on a weekday and was taken care of right away. Lee was very nice and took her time with my shellac manicure. I'm really happy with my nails and hope to go back for a pedicure sometime soon. She gave me a bonus card and I'll get $25 off my fifth visit, so that's a plus! This place was ok.I did a walk-in and was immediately served.  I felt like the atmosphere was good and the place was clean.  I got a regular pedicure and was impressed with the chairs- you can tell they're new. The down-side to the regular pedicure is that they really don't scrub your feet to remove dead skin.
