Beyond aggravated i want to and will show the photos of my ingrown toe nails due to them not properly cutting/trimming my toe nails!! IM A MASTER COSMETOLOGIST & my mother a nail technician of more than 30years this isnt only POOR WORK ( if the tech was even licensed ) it has ruined my toes!! And my nails! WOW!! I went here to get my nails done for the first time ever and felt pushed to get the powder polish which is honestly really great and I would have absolutely loved them if the man that added the tips for length knew what he was doing. None of my nails match and a lot of them are pushed upwards because he didn’t apply them correctly. The only reason why I read it this place a one star is because I wasn't able to give it zero. This is the worst place to ever get your nails done that I have ever been too. Went in for a pedicure as I usually do expecting the same results, but this visit was by far the worst. The lady who was doing my pedicure had scrubbed the skin off the side of my foot until it was raw and only stopped after I had to tell her I was almost bleeding! I love how they have Organic products! I went for the first time and got the Organic special and they used fresh fruit and herbs and tea for a nice long soak and everything they used to rub on my feet and legs smelled so good! It was worth the $75 especially with the shoulder massage to top it off. Everyone there is very friendly and the owners are very approachable and accommodating. I had high hopes for this salon because it had good reviews and it's so close to home, but I think I will be making the trip back to Lil Nail Shop in Richmond Hill to continue my nail services. I asked for a powder dipped manicure with white tips. So I thought it would be the translucent pink base with the white tip. The whole nail definitely turned out pretty white and it doesn't look very good... kind of gave my nails an unhealthy coloring like I lack oxygen or something. I think doing nails is kind of like handwriting-- some people just kind of have bad handwriting no matter how hard they try. A lot of time and effort was spent into doing my nails, but the results just aren't pretty. They're very bulky and unflattering. Also, while my nails were being filed, my finger was cut and blood was drawn. The nail file wasn't thrown away, which makes me worry. If my finger was cut, imagine how many other people's fingers may have been cut, and now we are all sharing the same file. 😕 My service was also extremely expensive. At the shop in Richmond Hill, I am charged $35 for the SNS/powder dip polish change and they do a fantastic job every time. At Modish, they charged me $65 for the same service. I suspect that they are charging for a manicure as well, but that wasn't done. No trimming of my cuticles or anything else that goes along with a traditional manicure-- I literally just had the powder taken off and reapplied. The salon is very pretty inside and I do like that they have music videos playing. I might come back for a pedicure at some point out of pure convenience of the location of this salon.. but I frequently get my nails done and I wish I had found a closer place to get them done. My daughter and I went here today and requested two deluxe pedicures. However, as I sat right next to her getting my deluxe pedi, it was blatantly obvious this guy did not know what he was doing. My jelly soak was never activated and he never poured the white powder in for the "jelly scrub". I asked twice without an answer. When I went to pay, of couse this male tech ran to collect. He quoted the price at $72 for two deluxe pedicures. I questioned him about the jelly and he... said I should have moved my feet around. Well maybe he should tell his customers this information. Told me this twice and said I was overreacting. Fine, ill pay but I'm not leaving a tip. Swipe the card for the balance, this idiot hits the custom tip button. Horrible pedicure, I'm trying new places and should have stuck to my old faithful. I had to get the cuticle nippers to get my own ingrown toenail out! He tried scrubbing my foot with the purple scrubber with no soap no water, nothing on it it. My foot was completely dry. Terrible pedicure. I have to say the girl next to him gave her client an excellent pedicure. I just paid $36 to have my toenails painted and feet soaked. Read Less

I've been to modish, I would say, three times. The first time it was ok I wasn't fully impressed by the actual manicure but I liked the atmosphere. It was clean, it had good music, and they had complimentary drinks. The second time, I had the same type of experience as I did the first. But this last and final time it definitely made it a deal breaker. I made an appt for 6pm on a Friday and when I got there, at 550, the place was packed but they sat me in a pedicure chair anyways. Before I sat down I asked if it was going to be a long wait and the lady (whom I assume was the owner) said no. So I went ahead and took a seat. I sat there for almost an entire hour before they started working on me! Then the girl that started working on me seemed sooooooo (and I can't emphasize this enough) sooooooo inexperienced! I literally felt myself getting so frustrated because I kept having to tell her what to do... I couldn't even relax or sit back and enjoy the service I was paying for. Finally, I just asked her if I could please have someone else. So this other girl comes and after I told her where the other girl left off she just started all over again and went back and re did the foot that was already done! So at this point I'm just like ok, whatever. Well 2 whole hours go by and I'm still in that chair. My back was killing me and I couldn't believe I still had to get my nails done (I should've just left at that point but my nails looked so bad) I was feeling so frustrated. But anyways, the girl rushed through the nail process and I have several air bubbles and I think she still needed to do an extra top coat. I was there for almost 3 entire hours! And I left there with horrible back pain and unsatisfied with my nails. I did not once get an apology. I will never go back there again. And I'm up writing this review now because I can't sleep because of how bad my back is hurting from sitting in that chair for so long. Nice salon but horrible experience. Read Less

I 100% recommend!! I have been to 6 different salons and have had awful experiences with them. I had to go to one 4 different times to re do nails that kept breaking cause they were so thin. But this place they know what they are doing. I walked in and by the decor, cleanliness and all the different services they provide thought it would be expensive he even told me the problem with the other set of nails and he fixed it and I told him it was my wedding anniversary so he put these beautiful white and glittery designs on 4 of them so beautiful. I thought it was going to be so expensive well he told me the price and my mouth dropped... he fixed 4 nails and did 4 designs and only charged me $10!!!! I even ended up buying some biolage color last shampoo and conditioner from the salon it came with a key chain a bag and conditioning gel for $25!! I've come here plenty of times and never have I left unsatisfied, until Saturday. I came into Modish around 12/1-ish. I've worked in a nail salon and I know how busy it gets on a Saturday, not only that but the quality of Modish and their workers are always superb, so I didn't mind waiting. However, if I knew that I would be waiting an hour and paying $41 dollars to have crooked nails, cotton stuck under gel polish and painful ridges in my nails, I wouldn't have stayed. The guy that did my nails, looked like he knew what he was doing, until he started to shape my nails and cut the plastic tips (along with my natural nail and skin underneath, which was very painful). I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but, I shouldn't have. Mon, did let me come back in the next day for him to fix them and they turned out a lot better and a lot nicer than the day before when I left. But, today I had three nails pop off clean and one nail bleeding for awhile nonstop. I'm not one to complain and never to leave a review about this, but it wasn't worth my time and definitely not worth my money. My only advice for Modish, is to educate your workers in how to do nails/acrylics and to make sure they know what they're doing. This was the one experience that I learned to call in before and make an appointment with someone that actually knows what they're doing. The shop was beautiful the service was courteous but I paid an extreme amount of money for my feet to get done the work was subpar when I express my concern the nail technician said that it was the way my nails grew when I asked for them to fix my nails on my toes nails she complained and said that she can only make them longer no one wants long toenails you come to get your toenails clipped my feet were still ashy I still have calluses on my feet I had to go home and redo my feet and go to another nail shop and get my toe nails done overall I spent over $150 On My Feet later on when I called to complain and let them know about their subpar service I had a woman call me back to argue with me this was one of the worst experience I've ever had I do not recommend anyone to go there for a pedicure unless you are white or you just want a regular polish. After living in Savannah for a year I have finally found my go to nail salon! I guess they are fairly new, and the inside is nice. All white decor, they have a good amount of polishes, organic regular polishes (no extra cost!) and of course gel polishes. I am always greeted and helped right away which has not Been the case for me at a lot of places in Pooler. The Deluxe pedi ($36 vs standard $26) is amazing! They use this stuff that goes in the water that is like jelly bubbles...hard to explain but t feels great. There are 10 pedicure chairs. The service is always great and I love my acrylic nails. Yin does my pedicures and she is great! They have a nail bar set up so multiple people can get manis next to each other. Highly recommended!!! Read Less

I give this place five stars because of three very important reasons. 1) the staff was very friendly. No attitude whatsoever to do my nails the way I asked. I have been to many nail salons looking for a place where I wouldn't feel as if they are gossiping in front of me. I found it here. 2) he did exactly what I asked and it turned out amazing. I got a pink and white fill in. 3) not only did he do what I asked, he went above and beyond to pay attention to detail about my nails. Trimmed the dead skin and was very informative as to the upkeep of my nails. The environment was nice and the music brought an upbeat atmosphere to the nail shop. Don't go anywhere else.
