My name is Tan Duong and i work at Oakwood Nail & Spa. I've been outa town and just got back and found out about this complaint. I would like to explain about the incident and would like your understanding. My employee was just carrying a conversation with his customer, somehow made her thought that they were talking about her because she sat next to them. Whether they gossiped about anyone or not that's unkown to anyone but according to him and his client they both said they didnt and that they were having their own conversation. His client said to her "no we were not talking about you, and this is an A and B conversation so please stay out of it". It is not our fault that she put her nose in other people conversation then feel uncomfortable about it. If she wasnt comfortable about the experience she could have just stop and left and we would not have charged her but she got the entire pedicure done which takes about 40 minutes of work and decide to complain for her money back later. Yes i admit to calling her a nut because she kept calling me and teling me that she was abused, she was choked more than once and alot more things that i didnt need to know and it has nothing to do with the incident. Ive ask her to leave the place and do not call me again or i have to call the law on her. She consistantly called me evil and devian and asked me to give her a refund and that's the reason i called her a nut and said "just because of your personal life and issues, that doesnt mean i give you a free service that we worked hard on. We are not going to refund to everyone when they decide to be nut". please reconsider the complaint and refile the case accordingly now that you know both side of the story. Tan DuongDear All, Tan was the person I spoke to & the arguements in his statement are not accurate. Details are left out. I never said he was "evil", nor did anyone tell me they were uncomfortable w/me, which was not intended of me to cause. I came in smiling, saying hello. I addressed a concern after overhearing him gossip cruely about a customer, and I asked if it was ok in there policy for employees to gossip about customers, because it made me uneasy. I told them I am a student getting a degree in psychology & the reason for my choice is that i know what it feels like to be the subject of someones abuse. I asked if it was me that they were talking of only after he made rude suggestions following & laughed. I would have left had my feet not been treated at all. Instead, I tried to help Tan & others understand why I find it a concern to gossip. He said what they were gossiping was not my concern ( he spoke for me). It made the environment for me hostile. When a customer pays, that customer has a right to feel valued. Whether they talk of me/ others was not a concern, but that they gossip negatively implies some customers are worth discriminating against and are unappreciated. I got no apology, but was threatened to have a cop after me, which was unnecessery. I wasn't threatening. To justify ill treatment of the human is wrong, no matter how we justify... life is still life &every life is short. Noone should name call, esp. if not being called a name. He had no sense of humility/ good character. Prior to threatening to call a police I was trying to explain the harm gossip produces, using my life as 1 example, since I was a victim once. After he threatened me he also said he didn't give a care and to get out so then I refered to my texts to tell him he lacked humility/empathy, not to insult, but suggest a responsiblity. I am also older than him. Lack of empathy is found in deviance. I asked if he knew that, in hope for a conscience from him. What I or anyone went through was unimportant he said in words & actions.
