My family and I have been going to diamond nails since it first opened but I will never be going again. I never use to have to make an appointment but they started getting really busy and I loved them so much I would even drive from downtown but appointments don’t mean anything. I have had to sit for almost an hr after my apt waiting to do my nails. This past weekend was the last straw. I called th make an apt and stressed that it was my birthday and I needed to start on time because I had a full day ahead of me... I waited a whole hr before my nails were even started. When my nail tech came in she didn’t even apologize. I was so disappointed and it made it worse that it was my birthday and I had to cancel plans because they were late. I got tired of my old nail place never keeping the same staff so I tried Diamond Nails based off of recommendations from two friends. I have found a nail tech that I absolutely love! I call to make an appt with her and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. She's super fast and knows how I like my nails shaped. I moved to the Mcdonough area in August and was referred to this salon by a friend. I've religiously came here for my grooming services and I never leave the shop paying less than 70 not including a tip. I order the deluxe spa pedicure, my eyebrows and SNS nails. Let me be clear as this salon does NICE nails, this review is based on COUNTLESS service failures that I'm sick of. I have been skipped, forgotten and sometimes stuck in the shop for over 2 hours. Today, I walked int...o the salon and was asked what I wanted. Same as always I say a pedicure, sns and eyebrows. I'm told to have a seat and someone would be ready. While I'm sitting there, a woman walks into the salon and requests the same thing. I'm finally escorted to the pedicure chair, the nail tech turns on my water, soaks my feet and begins doing my nails. After close to 20 minutes of my feet being in the now cold water, the nail tech gets up, offers a towel and apologizes. At this point, I turn around to notice the woman who walked in after me, requesting EXACTLY what I ordered was getting a full service. I requested and paid for a manicure and SNS. The manicure was soaking my finger in a little bowl of water and trimming cuticles. That was it. She went straight into the SNS application. When she dipped my finger in the powder she started thumping on my knuckles to remove the excess powder. I have arthritis with very obvious arthritis bumps on my knuckles. After about the fourth finger I stopped her and said please don’t do that it hurts, which brought on a barrage of discussion with her booth mate. Then when she was trying to remove excess color from my fingertip she literally cut my finger with her own nail. I will never go back. After many years driving 45 minutes to Diamond nails the customer service has gone DONE. Last month I arrived to an scheduled appointment TWICE to only find my nail tech wasn't there. Since I value my time and gas I stayed and waited for someone else to do my nails. My tech didn't do a good job. I also had to let her know if she wanted to talk about me do it IN ENGLISH! I love this place!! You can call to make an appointment on the same day . They even call you back if someone cancels their appointment just to see if you want to come in early. They are always friendly here. Most techs do a great job. I have only experienced once or twice where I wasn't completely satisfied. I've been going here for 3 years now so it took some time to find a regular tech that I can ask for. Now I try to get the same person each time. They have a huge SNS stock and are very affordable compared to other places in the area. Its a popular spot so I don't recommend going on the weekends. Its usually packed! Read Less

I always enjoy coming to Diamond Nail. The salon is very spacious and is very accommodating of everyone! This is really the only place I go to get my nails done. If you live in the south side area, I advise you give them a try. They do all types of styles with nails, in addition they have a lot staff to service you. The thing I like the most is they are able to fix any chips or smudges you did without no charge after the fact. For instance, I went to get my nail done yesterday and I chipped my nail the next day. Went here to get SNS nails done for the first time. I was a walk in and only waited about 5 minutes. I'm pleased with my service and had no complaints other than sore nail beds. The place is huge so they can accommodate a big group if your looking for a nail spa day. I will say some of the equipment was a little dusty and seemed to need a little more attention but other than that, I'll be back. You can't beat the price for the service they offer. It was ok but I don't feel I should have to file my own nails down to my nail bed to look more natural.  The SNS is a goodIdea but needs to be filed at the cuticle to be more flush with the nail to look natural Read Less

This has been my monthly spot for a year now! Wendy & Nancy are THE BEST! Everyone is super nice! The best advice I can give you is to make an appointment. They accept walk-ins, they just get very busy because they are such a popular place! So if you're in a time crunch, I suggest calling ahead of time to guarantee your time frame! Read Less
