I went here last minute after work to get a quick mani before a job interview. It's absolutely amazing. These ladies are probably some of the friendliest, and thorough nail techs in the area. Amazing overall! I got a gel manicure and a one-upgraded pedicure, and they were GREAT! The foot and hand massages were excellent, and the two ladies I had were polite and adorable (but not chatty, so it was very relaxing). There was a variety of colors and options for everything. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to the Nail Center.  I went for a mani/pedi and had SNS mani.  The guy who did my nails was answering the phone, running around pulling supplies, finding polish for other technicians....all while doing my nails.  He did a rushed job and didn't put complete coats of paint on my nails.  He would just brush over each nail quickly and then move on to the next one.  Usually SNS will last me a few week - sometimes as long as three weeks.  This time, it started looking really hazy at the tips and by the cuticles after the first week.  I had questioned him a few times during the process and he acted as if I was offending him.  He was very rude.  I will not return to this Nail Center again. I should have looked on the Yelp reviews before I came to get a full set of nails because the end product was such a mess. Plus there is no pricing listed in the store so it came as a shock to me that the service I asked for initially which was $22 had now jumped to $35 at checkout (which would have been bearable if my nails didn't look hideous). 9/4/2016 I go to this nail salon often because I live close by. Typically everyone is very kind and professional. Normally there is a pretty woman and a well dressed man in charge. I only saw one woman who was familiar.  She did my nails and was very polite. There were two other people there... a married couple that I had never seen before. The male was extremely rude but I noticed that he only spoke that way to African Americans. He even turned quite a few black patrons away (as his wife laughed) saying they were closing but they were still open for another 45 minutes. However, he took a Caucasian couple shortly after. I don't plan on going to Nail Center anymore. I'll just drive a few more miles to Ivy Nails in Vinings where their service is consistently great and the staff treats everyone the same no matter what race they are. I will never go to this salon again! First, they are very over priced for their services and slow, it took me almost over 2 hours to get a manicure and pedicure. Second, their equipment is faulty and the UV light on my gel manicure kept malfunctioning. Two days after I got my gel manicure the paint was starting to chip and when I went to get it repaired the staff member working tried to make it seem like it was my fault, when she clearly didn't remember the UV light didn't work properly. Lastly and most important after I got a pedicure my two big toes started swelling from them cutting my cuticles too short. The staff member also made that seem like my fault by claiming it was an "ingrown toe nail" (that just happened to appear on both toes a day after I got a pedicure from them. I have gotten manicures & pedicures from all over the Atlanta area and never have I experienced anything like this! I will never return to this nail salon. Read Less

The guy who did my nails was really nice and sweet but he did a messy job on my manicure. I still have nail polish on my fingers (bad clean up job). Cuticles could have been cut cleaner. If I'm paying for your services I just ask I get what I paid for. Read Less

Been coming to this salon multiple times, even bringing my sisters and mom for their services. Always a good experience with every visit with a nice and friendly staff. Despite reading a bunch of negative reviews,  I decided to give this place a shot since I was nearby and needed gel polish. Glad I went.  Only a few people working but they were quick and efficient.  She did a great job and the price was pretty standard. I went on a Wednesday about 1pm. There was only one person working and she was with a customer when I walked in.  She told me that it would be a 10 minute wait,  it was 30 minutes.  Several people came in while I was there and they had to be turned away because there was only one person there. I was visiting Atlanta for my son's baseball tournament, and the hotel we were staying at recommended this nail salon to myself and my friend.Needless to say, I felt like the staff was rude mainly to my girlfriend.  She tried to engage in small talk with her "technician" however, it was clear that my technician and my friend's technician were discussing my friend in their native language.  The only small talk I made with my technician was that I told her to "smile."  She looked angry, and as she worked on my pedicure I did not engage in ANY small talk.I have never received a pedicure that I was not pleased with until I visited the "Nail Center" on July 2, 2014.  I had a small chip on one of my toe nails and instead of filing it down to match the entire nail bed, she worked around it leaving the chip clearly visible after my toe nails were painted.After my friend and I were finished with our pedicures and as we waited for our feet to dry, this male asked me REPEATEDLY "Are you paying for her?"  One would only assume that he was asking me if I was going to pay for my friend....why he continued to ask me this... I have NO clue!I have never left an establishment without paying a 20% tip for services received, but on this visit to the "Nail Center" I COULD NOT bring myself to tip this establishment for the treatment my friend and I received during this visit.Customer Service is key when working with the public, and it was clear from every individual working at the "Nail Center" that they were not customer friendly to any of the African Americans in this place.  I watched their demeanor towards every African American in this place and they were "short and rude" to us, but the white customers who came in were offered water.Not once did any staff member ask the African American clients, if they would like water.  I had to ask for it.Beware, unless you like being treated like a second class citizen. They did apologize for the wait.  I decided to go for GEL polish manicure and pedicure. The selection was limited especially for OPI colors. Stopped in 2/3, and got my fingernails gel painted. I've waited patiently for them to chip before I wrote this review, and the day has finally come... If you're not familiar, the gel manicure is still a painting process (no fake nails put on) but with a few more layers and apparently UV light to set it (I've been told if you do this often, you need to put sunscreen on your hands.)  I knew, even as a gel newb, that this was supposed to last longer than a regular mani.Lee was great. He was a little rough and short with the hand massage, but a perfectionist on my nails, and very friendly.  We talked about tattoos because we both had visible ink. :)  He also told me they've been open for 8 years, which surprised me, because it seemed dead as disco for a Sunday at noon.  Then again, it was Superbowl Sunday.. so maybe that affected their traffic. The nail salon was bigger than most "everyday" nail places: I'd say twice the size. They had really nice looking spa pedicure chairs. This manicure was the most expensive I've ever gotten personally: $25 for the gel, as opposed to $12 for a regular manicure (and even so, I've had a fine regular manicure for $9 elsewhere) I was a little shocked and not thrilled about the price, but figured eh, I'll give it a try. Lee took care of me. He said gels last 3 weeks, whereas a regular mani will last 3 days before getting chipped. On top of that, I'm so rough with my hands that I normally assume I'm going to have a chip the next day. So how long did it last? 17 days! Not quite three weeks, but a record for me, and my nails are as long as they've ever been because in order to trim them, I would have had to ruin the paint job - So, I refrained.All in all, a nice paint job, very friendly service. Also, the price was very fair @ $28 for a man's mani/pedi combo, and $30 for a ladies french tip mani/pedi combo.  However, of all the mani/pedi I've experienced around the world, this rates as next to worst.  I would not return here.
