24 hours ago, I got my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you. I woke up this morning and had to pry my eye open. It is extremely swollen and irritated. I got an infection here. The other eyebrow skin is burned as well. The lady rushed. I have gotten my eyebrows done many times at other salons and have never had a reaction like this. Do not go here for waxing!!! Read Less

I've been to the salon about five times since November. I have fairly long natural nails and I wanted to try SNS. The first time I went, they were busy and the manger said "come back in an hour". Her tone was curt--she didn't mince words. I went back and had a lovely SNS service. I decided to go back, this time I had an APPOINTMENT and went for the manager to have her do my nails. She was AMAZING. She wasn't super warm, but she knows her stuff. I got SNS. With chrome Ombre. I'll attach a pic. I've been to her three times, always with an appointment. She gives great suggestions and listens to what I want. So many patrons want to walk in, it's not good like that during a busy time. Also, you need to read up on the techniques and tell them don't buff, or use a gentler file. I'm very assertive. I'm making another appointment. My current SNS lasted three weeks. I gave five stars for lack of salon chairs, discrepancies between technician skill levels, and slow walk in service. I'll keep going for the foreseeable future. Read Less

I got SNS here a while ago and absolutely loooooved them, so I went back today for a spa pedicure. Worst decision of my life. The lady doing my nails was so sweet, but the pedicure literally hurt. She cut my big toe nails so short that they were bleeding and it felt like she was using needles on my feet. I've been getting pedicures for 10 years now at various salons and this is the first time that I have ever had pain like this... I also waited about two hours after I left to put socks and shoes on (After sitting at the actual salon for 20 minutes to let them dry) and when I took them off just now, I had to peel the sock from my toes because it stuck to the polish. Two hours after getting them done and they still weren't dry? My nails all have this weird texture from the polish that just ruins how nice they looked. I'm giving this place 2 stars because their manicures are phenomenal, but their pedicures could use work.The place is clean, but the chairs are wildly uncomfortable and unlike many places, you cant really position the chair so you're comfortable because they're fixed in place. They're very straight backed and kind of hard, which doesn't allow for a whole lot of relaxation. Read Less

Really like this place for a couple of reasons.1. No one is on their cell phones while doing my nails. I know that sounds weird, but it does give consistent quality. 2. It is really nice in the inside- the tables, the pedi chairs. I am one of those folks who never use the massage function, so that factor is not important to me.3. It doesn't take 2.5 hours- if I have an appointment, then that's my appointment. There's another big nail salon around here that, if I made an appointment for toes and nails, I'd spend 2.5 hours in the chair while they worked in every walk-in around me. Well kept and clean. Friendly staff. But pricey. And my initial manicure was done very poorly. It looked like I had a 5 year old do it. The manicurist did not understand me so I complained to the manager. She asked me to come back and they would fix it. When I went back they butchered my nails and it started bleeding. I left a 1 star not because of the service- they do really great work. I normally get SNS nails every 2-3 weeks both with and without appointments. The 1 star is for the lacking of consideration and customer service that they (specifically the lady in front that greets you when you enter the shop) provide to customers. I've been going to this shop for over a year, always thanked them and tipped for a good job done but probably won't be going back. Just a tip: if you provide a service and expect people to come to your establishment, be a little bit nicer and provide better solutions of more staff or coming at a different time if you are unable to render those services. Telling them "you don't have time today" but not giving an alternative option caused you to lose money and business today. I'll be in the market for a new nail shop. Read Less

First time at this nail salon. I was strapped for time and only had around 20 minutes to get a pedicure. The woman who did my feet didnt speak very much english but she was incredibly sweet. They were able to get me in and out in just enough time for my hair appointment next door. The layout of the store was very nice and clean, I didnt notice that the chairs werent massage chairs until another reviewer mentioned it. The only thing I had an issue with was the location of the nail polishes. The wall is directly behind a few manicurist tables so its a tight squeeze. There were people already there picking out colors so I had to wait until they moved out of the way. Thats my only complaint. The pricing was normal for what I received including extras. SNS is VERY well done. Lasts a long time and is usually well applied. They have a lot of color choices and the establishment is very clean. However, I will go somewhere else for a pedicure. They don't have the massaging chairs, and the chairs they do have are very stiff and uncomfortable. Read Less

I have been into Lavis three times. The first time, I told them I needed a full set, and they informed me it would be a 15 minute wait. Thirty minutes go by, and I ask how much longer, and could I at least begin soaking off my the old gel nails. A guy comes over and takes them off, and cuts my cuticle in the process. He said it would be longer until someone could actually begin, and at that point I had been there for at least forty five minutes, and I had to go. I made an appointment for the next afternoon.I go to my appointment, and don't wait more than a few minutes. I get a full set of the dip powder nails and chose a light lavender. When using the powder, it's difficult to see the actual color until the complete process is over. When he was down, I had Barbie pink nails. I honestly didn't mind, and wondered if I had pointed out the wrong color, the manicurist used the wrong container, etc. I didn't say anything and left happy. During my appointment, the nail tech told me my nails would last four weeks, and he had a customer who had gone six weeks.A week goes by, and I begin to see a crack in the dip powder about halfway down my nail. I was a bit confused and was careful. Not even a day later, a different nail completely breaks, damaging my real nail. The originally cracked nail then broke, followed by another nail completely lifting. This was after I was told they could last four weeks. I've been getting acrylics, gel manicures, and had done dip powder once before, and my nails have never broken like that.I was not in town, so on day 12 of my nails, which are now broken, I go back into Lavis. The owner looked and my nails, and wanted to fix them. I chose a nude color she recommended, and she began to work right at 5:00. TWO HOURS later, my nails are finished. The shape looks great, and they feel strong (this is only an hour after though). I was there so long, and I knew she wasn't even halfway done so I just got a pedicure while I was there. My nails took from 5:00 to 7:00, which is the longest it's ever taken me. I'm not one of those people to complain or correct the nail technician, I sat back and let her do what she needed to do. Also, the dip color she used, again, did not match the sample. The color was supposed to be an opaque nude/white, but it's basically clear. After two hours I'm definitely not having her re-do anything. Lavis is clean, they have a nice color selection, but overall I'm very disappointed. Read Less

I went in to get a pedicure and SNS manicure. Turned away at the door and said they were too busy and to come back later. I didn't mind waiting, but they didn't even ask or say how long the wait was. Lavis Manicure is excellent and always does a wonderful job on my nails! I am very pleased each time I visit. It is the only nail salon I trust. It is clean, beautiful, and isn't like any other place I've been. I also appreciate the manager taking the time to talk to me if I ever have concerns. Keep up the good work! Read Less

I went in with some MUCH NEEDED work on my nails from the poor work of another salon who had left my nails pretty damaged. Everyone was very kind and attentive with understanding my situation. I tried out this salon last week. They were very nice there. Place was very clean.  I had a pedicure done. I thought she did a great job. But two days later  the polish came off three of my toes. I was out of town so I couldn't go back and have them fix this. Never had this happen before. I won't be going back for what it cost me. Read Less

Great first visit today!! When I first arrived they were slammed and told me the wait time and said if I wanted to leave I could come back around 12, which to me was great service. So I did and got back about 1215, quick, efficient, pretty and friendly service on my SNS and toe polish change! I will be back! Read Less

Super meticulous, she never rushes and makes sure each nail is perfectly shaped & polished. I've been particularly impressed with how she thins out the SNS powder/polish to give the nails a more natural look & feel. I've also seen Nancy for gel nails & pedicures. She is equally meticulous, skilled, & thorough (not to mention, very friendly!). I highly recommend both ladies! The staff is friendly, place is kept clean and there is an abundance of color choices. A HUGE miss (and why I won't return) is the lack of massage chairs. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and awkward after sitting in them for a bit. The price is also more than you'd pay at other salons. Read Less

First time visiting. I was very impressed. They offer a wide range of different services and it is also very reasonable pricing. Don't let the glam of the decor scare you away. It is a very high end nail salon but does not have a high end price. The professional that performed my pedicure was very sweet and talented.
