Not too happy about this one. I recently moved to Macon and am on the hunt for a new nail salon. Macon Nail & Tan definitely needs an update, both in services and in decor.  I got a gel manicure and pedicure during my visit. The manicurist did not allow my prior gel polish to soak off well at all. Instead, she used the electric buffing machine to remove the rest of my gel polish -- a big "no no" as this makes the nails thin and brittle over time.  Second, she did not clean my cuticles well, nor did she give them any shape or form. The most irritating part is that she globed tons of gel polish on my nails. There is absolutely no natural shape or form to the polish. In my opinion, the concept of gel polish is a NATURAL looking polish job that lasts longer than regular polish.  My nails look double their actual size due to the excessive layers of gel polish.My pedicure was the least relaxing one I've ever had in my life. The pedicurist was so rough and careless when filing my nails and scrubbing my heels that I'm surprised I'm not severely cut and bruised. I asked her if she was going to cut my cuticles as she was starting to massage my legs (usually the last step before polish) and she shoo'd me away saying "ok ok ok later!" Her response and demeanor was extremely rude and off putting to me.The place could also use a good scrubbing. The gel light machine was covered in globs and globs of polish. It was so disgusting that I didn't allow my hand to touch the surface when I put it in to dry the gel polish. The manicure, pedicure and sink stations were all dirty as well. Somehow this salon has received rave reviews. So, I'm not sure if I just got the rotten apples of the salon or if this is the standard in the area. Either way, there should be no rotten apples in the first place and first impressions are lasting impressions.  I will not be visiting again. Read Less

Had a great experience ! I didn't get the nail techs name but we set at station #1. He was very attentive and chatty first thing in the morning. I loved it. I got s&s nails (36$)and they are perfect. Nice and smooth. He took his time and he was done no time at all. I'll be back for sure. Read Less

I went here for the first time a few days ago. I had my daughter's 10th birthday here. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, not to mention that the designs they painted on the girls' toes were amazing! I highly recommend this nail salon, and I will definitely be returning for my own pedicure. Read Less

Terrible service. If you are interested in a quality pedi and relaxing experience, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!!  Discussed my service with the receptionist and requested their highest level pedi for everyone in my party (4).  Was told there would be a short wait, no problem.  One of the party hadn't even been put in a chair when the first person was finished, which is a hassle but not a deal breaker.  The level and quality of the pedi was extremely poor (20 minutes of service).  The pedicurist assumed we wanted the cheapest package, so we basically got our nails painted for $25.00.  No attention to cuticles, calluses, or massage.  I usually go to Bamboo in WR which is fabulous but thought I would try something closer to home, HUGE MISTAKE! I've been here a few times, prior experiences were good.  Hence, I returned.  They always seem to be pretty busy, so I've called ahead of time to make appointments.  I made an appt this time, arrived and was told to take a seat.  Ok, no big deal.  After nearly half an hour, I reached my waiting limit and got up to leave.  No one stopped me to ask why, or frankly probably even notice, I was leaving.  Not the kind of customer service I'd ever recommend.  I drove to another nearby nail salon and would suggest doing the same to "treat yo-self" until they're able to manage the crowds differently.  Unless you're looking for an acetone scented locale to kill time. I have been going there for four months being new to the Macon area.  Very satisfied until this past Friday - the worst VIP pedicure I have ever had - the manicure turned out even worse this time.  My polish usually last three - four weeks  - toes look terrible and my fingertips are chipping and peeling in less than a week!  Will not be returning nor will my daughter - would not recommend to anyone! The atmosphere of this salon was nice, but they don't seem like they have enough employees to handle a crowd on the weekend. I went in on a Saturday with my husband to get a pedicure and we were seen to quickly. As soon as more customers came in and had to wait the employees working on my husband and I began rushing which resulted in a very disappoint pedicure overall. Friendly staff, great service! Even though I came 45 mins before closing and left after they were closed to finish drying my nails (sorry again), they still gave me a full and relaxing mani and pedi. They did an amazing job massaging my feet and calves, and I love that the lady took the time to massage every finger and joint on my hand and forearms. When it came close to closing time (they massaged and lathered me for a good minute), they still took their time and care polishing my nails. A great place to check out in Macon. Read Less

Need a quick pedicure & I needed to stop at Yvonne's market!!!! Very professional customer service and great treatment... They offer ingrown services and has quality OPI colors, including infinite color shine! The person I was with received a manicure with gel polish and she enjoyed her technician! I absolutely love this place! It's located in a cute little shopping center that is very clean and nice. I refuse to go anywhere else now that I have found this place. The employees are personable and so friendly. They truly do a great job with establishing a relationship with their clients. I go here for nails, toes, and eye brows! This is the best nail salon in Macon!  The staff is very friendly!  Every person does an equally fabulous job so you never have to worry about who you get... Like at many nail places!  Consistently great quality!  Great selection of regular polish and gel polish.  Also, if you get a mani & pedi you don't have to do both in the pedicure chair.  :) check them out, you won't regret it! This nail salon is amazing. Annie and Tony, the owners, are extremely personable and always make sure you're comfortable and taken care of. Before moving to NC, I went to this place for about 5 years, and even when I moved across town, I refused to go anywhere else but here. Their work is very high quality, and their prices are very competitive. I used to get acrylic nails and pedicures here, and I've never had anything negative to say about the work they did or the prices. I VERY highly recommend this place! Read Less
