Honestly I’ve been multiple times and each visit is always different. My biggest complaint is the manager and her inability to focus on a customer because she is looking around at every body else and seeing if her nail technicians are doing their job correctly, but trust your workers. Extremely rude service!!! After looking at my charge to see how much I need to pay I realized they over charged me. I asked why my price was $66 when It was just suppose to be $47 they then proceeded to tell me what I got. Which still did not add up to $66. After looking at there menu I pointed out what the cost should have been. They then told be it was because I had long nails. My nails were extremely close to my skin making it impossible for anyone to come to the conclusion that i had long nails, and even if I did that’s still not $66. After a while of going back and forth they told me I needed to pay and I gave in. I was overcharged, rudely talked to after pointing out their mistake, and the service was not all that good. I sat in the chair for 45 minutes before anyone came to do my nails and I’m the end I had a chipped nail that was caused by my manicurist and not rectified, was rudely talked about behind my back to other costumers, and was overcharged. Great place for a pedicure. Lux is a relatively new nail salon which offers excellent service in a great atmosphere. The salon is clean, very spacious, and welcoming. The skin scrubs and moisturizers are unlike anything I've encountered in a nail salon before--the honey blossom and milk honey are my favorite! Located next to Publix, Lux has ample parking. I just got a Deluxe pedicure and an SNS redo. I usually don't get pedicures but last night I went out and I wore heels that wrecked my feet. The last time I got an SNS redo I did not come here, and that was a huge mistake. The woman at the other place had no idea what she was doing and really made my nails look terrible. The woman here took her time removing all of the junk that woman had put on my nails and did a beautiful job. The lady who did my pedicure was amazing also. I love Tina, the manager. She is all about customer service and does an excellent job marketing this location. When I come in I feel like royalty. I have been going there since they have been open. I was so happy to see a nice place with nice chairs that looks so clean, but looks are deceiving. I went to get a gel mani/ pedi and of course Tina tried to up sell me and I said no 800 times and then was seated in a chair and sat there for at least an hour waiting. Once the lady came she worked on my feet for maybe 15mins no message no scrub than Tina sat her to work on someone else. Tina painted my toes. Okay whatever I get... they are busy she can make it up on my nails cool. Went to sit at a table and yeah no one showed for a while but after I'm about to leave pissed Tina comes and starts working on my hands she is ripping skin and tells me that they will look better when she paints them. Im bleeding by now...After telling her I was not happy twice and she needed to clean them up she said it has to do with my nails being short. I quickly told her I have been coming her forever. I have been with every tech you have in here and no one else but YOU have an issue. So as I sat for a other 45 mins to get a design on my nail I finally got up I was done. I'm usually satisfied enough with their work. However, the manager or owner...whoever she is did my nails this time. She was so busy the whole time! Watching the other technicians, telling them what to do, watching the store...she scared me a few times while doing my nails because she wasn't even looking while using the tools!! When you pay so much for nails, you expect a technician that gives you a little bit of attention...or enough to look at your nails while they're doing them!And she's extremely obsessed with you wanting to like their Facebook page, she will literally snatch your phone out of your hands so she can like the page and mark it as "see first" on your profile. First of all the customer service really is amazing. They have wine or food or coffee or something almost every time I’ve ever been. I’ve never waited for service, and they always finish (mani & pedi + sns) within an hour. The last time I went, a woman named Kim did my sns and I am so beyond happy with how my nails look. This is the first time I’ve ever walked out of a nail salon with no complaints and a perfect set (seriously I️’m picky) I never write reviews but I’m used to dropping $120+ and being unhappy, so I’m thrilled to have such a pleasant cost-friendly experience. This is a fairly new place in the plaza, apparently close to one year. I've come here twice now since it's not a far drive from where I live. I understand that they're new so they kind of promote a lot such as liking Facebook pages, entering in contests. But I just want to get a relaxing pedicure. Reasonably priced, pedicures are not that bad. Of course, they'll try to get you to get a higher priced option like any other nail salon around. But the interior is nice and the techs cater to the customer. I'd just advise to be firm with what you want. I've gotten SNS nails here done before, which they also promote a lot, and I wasn't a fan because after it was done, I had a lot of glue residue under my nails. I told my tech who did them that there's still some glue underneath my nails and she tried to get it out. Eventually she told me it'll come out if you wash your hands. It didn't come out immediately but over time it did with some elbow grease. Anyways, I'd recommend going here but expect to be bombarded with promotion. For me, it's nbd because I understand it's their first year and they want to make sure they get some customers since their location can't be seen off the street so easily unless you pull into the plaza. Run! Run far away from this place. Extremely rude. Apparently they look down on acrylic nails. They have this woman working, I believe her name is Tina. She is like the pit boss. She asked me 3 times if I had been there before. Which I have. My nails look awful, the tech (Kim) didn't put a base coat on, and they are not even (very jagged edges and should have been filed better). I am scared to even say anything negative because of how aggressive they are here. I would be afraid the pit boss would try to fight me. They get super defensive. I felt extremely rushed there towards the end, I guess since they were getting busy they needed to rush me out to get to the next dollar.I asked for a fill in (acrylic) and gel polish, along with a pedicure. While I was getting my pedicure I noticed 4 other women getting their nails done as well. So I asked my tech if those women had appointments? (Since I was there long before them, they should have started my nails first) Apparently nobody wants to do acrylic anymore. They only want to push the SNS, which is garbage here, I got the SNS done my first trip here, and it didn't even last a week before it started peeling. No thanks, I'll stick to the tried and true. Magically when I said something, a guy appeared to take my gel polish off. (Funny how that works). I let it go. Whatever, I won't come back again. Kim finishes rushing through my nails, and then dumps a gallon of oil on my fingers and yells at me to go wash my hands.I get to the register, and there's pit boss. Waiting to lecture me about how only certain technicians do certain things, and that when they are busy they can't do 2 things at the same time........(Really? Because there's 4 people getting nails and toes done at the same time as we speak) The last time I went the pit boss asked me about Facebook. Yes, because they force their facebook page down your throat. I told her, I already follow you on Facebook. She looked at me and said "Are you sure?" Really???Again, I just let it go. Was trying to find a new place to get my nails done and thought I'd give this place a try. I didn't schedule an appointment so I went almost right when they opened. They definitely know how to deck out the place for the holiday season. Everything was super festive and Christmasy. No one seems to have come in for work yet expect maybe one person and someone I'm assuming is an owner or part owner. I saw a picture on their yelp that I really wanted for myself which was a glow in the dark nails. Pretty sure the photo I showed them from their yelp page might be a stock photo. I usually get acrylic nails which is what I said I wanted to do when I got there so someone started to put the tips on for me. Employees started to come in so the person I assumed was the owner let another lady continue my nails. I showed her and the person before what I wanted and the lady doing my nails seems confused. She went to ask another lady which again I assume was the owner since she was walking around making sure everything was okay. They said it was an ombré nail design and wouldn't work with acrylic nails. That was peculiar since I can do ombré on my own nails with regular nail polish. They suggested I get SNS which I knew was more expensive but I thought I would splurge since they kept pushing it on me and saying it was better. Everything continued to go smoothly until she said what shape I wanted my nails. I said coffin and she said that was another $3 charge. That's fine cause I was already paying so much anyways but never heard of a place charging to shape your nails. Continuing with the nails she started to talk to the owner in Vietnamese and after that the lady said that she needed to charge me an extra $2 bring my total to $50.Overall the nails seem fine, I like it but looks exactly like acrylic nails but more expensive without an explanation. This is the only place I get my nails done, they never chip and they are so nice! They even have free wine on Friday’s and Saturday’s! The manager and all the ladies are super super sweet. Went there on Friday before Labor Day with my mom to get a fill in... my mom got a nail fix as well. This is her place, she comes here all the time and talks to Tina . I went back Monday (Labor Day) because one nail broke and the other was chipped. I was told to sit down and I waited for about 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. Then I was told I needed a receipt...Mind you I paid cash for my services Friday and walked out. The only proof I had was from my FB account because Tina personally checked me in Lux Spa...but all of a sudden she could not remember that? They made it seem as though I wanted something free. When I first walked in, the lady was nice, but a few seconds later started to convince me to get certain treatments that I didn't want. I just wanted a Manicure and pedicure and be out. I told them what I wanted but another lady tried to convince me to buy something that I didn't want even after I told her I didn't want. I guess this upset them. The lady working on my manicure was almost purposely cutting my cuticles to a point where it hurt, and I had to tell her to relax. For some reason they told me the manicure would be $12 but told another lady (of a different race -_-) that it would be $10. That was very confusing to me.I gave a 10% tip when I should've left none, and the lady made a face. EXCELLENT at SNS nail technique. Manicures not so much. My cuticles were sore and bleeding, there was no lotion or massage, no cuticle oil, nothing. I was very confused about being charged for a manicure when all she did was butcher my cuticles.I don't recommend letting them wax your eyebrows. I spent ten minutes explaining how important my thick brows were for me and that I just wanted them cleaned up. The wax came off and so did months of growing out.
