Worst experience ever. I asked for French gel and the lady tried to only do clear coat with the white tip on top. No pink polish at all. And the polish was not even, the sides were rough and on top of that there were bubbles. She clearly didn’t know what she was doing. I ended up not getting any color just clear coat. I had the worst experience with them, they usually do a good job however the day before my wedding they decided to messy nails up and do a complete sloppy job! even though I made sure I tell the guy who did my nails that I am getting them done for my wedding! they looked like a complete mess after as if a 5 years old is getting them done for me! I also had cuts everywhere because of how aggressive and harsh he was! he was also being very rude to me! The first salon to ever greet me and do what I requested! Rosie was the absolute best! I did a full set overlay, with gel polish (in French style). She took her time, offered beverages, and even made a few suggestions that I decided to go along with. She was not 'pushy' or 'money hungry' like other salons and nail techs that I've been to, who try to overwhelm you with other add-ons for more money. If that makes sense. To finally have consistency when it comes to getting my nails done is a wonderful feeling lol. I have went to so many nail places and have been let down each time but every time I come to allure I get the same awesome results. KSU students are offered a discount with an ID. My sorority big and I come here time to time. I like them more than NY nails at the mall due to their nails staying on a bit longer and looking more clean. I went and got my eye brows waxed; they didn't come out the way I wanted them to, so I went back. The girl decided to pluck the rest off-- which was a lot-- now I have scars all under my eyebrows. Definitely would not recommend this salon to anyone. Read Less

I had a bad experience before, but decided to give this salon another try a year later because it was close to work and my nails were in DESPERATE need. But, I will literally never go back again. Never. I walked in at 5:00PM, and was told to sit down by a man named Danny who was rude as soon as he saw me. I had SNS on my nails from about a month earlier, and after using the drill for a few seconds he got exasperated and started prying the fake nails off of my own (something I KNOW they are not supposed to do). He obviously was wanting to do it the quickest way possible. When I said "ouch that hurts," he looked up at me, laughed and continued doing it. Red flag #1. Next, after complete silence and no small talk to me whatsoever for a few minutes, he says "it will be $45.00" At first I said OK, because the menu states that SNS nails are that price. But then he gets the materials for GEL nails out and starts putting them on (the powder, liquid, solar lights, etc.). I've gotten my nails done for years and think I know the difference between SNS and gel. I told him "I actually asked for SNS, and you're doing gel." He goes on to say "Oh, no honey. SNS and gel are the same thing. This one is better for your nails," like I'm a complete idiot. No, honey, SNS is not what you were doing at all and you were scamming me. It took him under 30 minutes. Each time I've had them done WELL, it takes at least an hour. I know because he kept checking the clock and looking away from my nails while using the drill on them - which in turn cut me in multiple spots and burned the entire time I was there. Between the looks at the clock, the blatant lying, and how rough he was with the drill and with the nail file, I was ready to get out of there as soon as possible. He was so rough filing my nails that my nail beds were sore the entire night and it was difficult to sleep. To top it ALL off, once we got to the check out counter I told him "You did gel on my fingers, and your menu says $30 for gel. You didn't do SNS, so I'm not paying for it." He goes on to insist that they are the same and that I'm mistaken. And ONLY THEN, when the tip paper was in front of me does he start talking saying "if anything goes wrong with your nails, please come back and I'll fix them. Here is my card, thank you so much for coming in I appreciate you." I was so over being there I said fine and tipped him regardless of how bad my experience was. Looking back, I wish I had left as soon as he lied to me about what I was getting and walked out and given him NONE of my money. I am never going back. Read Less

Customer service is terrible! They don't listen when you tell them exactly how you want your nails and try to correct them before they are too far ahead, they catch an attitude and obv disregard your preferences. I hate nail techs who are like that especially when my nails turnout the exact way I was trying to avoid! They rush through your nails and it shows. They are a bit pricey, too pricey for me not to like my nails each time. The last time I went, on one of my hands, the nails were longer than the other hand and the nails themselves were slanted because they were filed uneven! Holly and Kim were my favorite nail techs there and they no longer work there so I will not be returning. I tried letting others do them and every single time they mess them up due to not listening and rushing so I will be going to lush nail bar down the street from now on. They are good and they provide discounts for KSU students as well. NOTE TO SALON: Please stop rushing and listen to your customers. People like me have been getting their nails done for years, we know what we're talking about when we suggest things. I love this place!! They never get it wrong! Update: Never say never. My rating just dropped from 5 stars to 1. I went I. And waited half an hour for a set because not all staff was capable of doing what I needed. Then the tech I did get was incapable of following simple instructions. My nails are all different lengths, different colors were smeared on my nails, ridges and bumps all over, I asked for a particular shape and didn't get it. I spoke up several times but ran out of patience because I had a 2 yr old to get home to. Won't be going back. There's a nice shop in Acworth I think I'll return to. Read Less

I didn't think fixing a nail could be so hard. I walked in and was greeted by who seemed to be the owner right away. She was friendly and pleasant. However, the guy who did my nails not so much. I came in wanting to get a nail fixed after breaking it. I also had another nail with a crack. Maybe he wasn't detailed since they weren't originally done there. It was my pinky and thumb that was cracked. Before even sitting down I asked if they had the same color as it is popular in most shops. He layered on the powder so thick that my pinky looks clumpy. And my thumb is shaped oval. Mind you the tea  of my fingers are squoval. He also was upset when I made him reapply the nail for my pinky as it was way short . I came home and shaped them by myself!! These are the rudest people I've ever come in contact with. The girl doing my pedicure cut my toes, the even cut through one of my toenails. It hurt so bad I almost cried. Actually I screamed.  The guy doing my nails refused to put more than one coat of gel on, so you can literally see through my nails. They look horrible. I love Allure! They are the only place I go for my eyebrow wax because they get my brows on point and whatever wax they use is the only one that doesn't break me out! I've seen several different techs and they always do a great job on my nails and they will actually talk to you (if you talk to them!) without it being awkward. I have been here twice to get my eyebrows waxed. The first time was great. The technician understand my eyebrow grew sparsely towards the end and gave me a perfect shape that frames my face. When I went back the second time, I asked for a clean up. When I got up to check in the mirror my heart literally dropped. The ends of my eyebrows were gone and I was left with half a brow. Now I have to go invest in brow tinting until it grow out because of their negligence. The funny thing is, the woman who did my eyebrows had 10 years of experience. Read Less

I have been a long time customer but as of late, each experience had become worse and worse. There are new techs each time I go. I'm feeling more rushed. The time they used to take with your nails is gone. They used to push a drink down your throat when you walked in or sat down and now they barely ask. When a tech messes up and you need a repair the next day they attempt to charge you. Rosie is good but she is so popular, you can barely get her. This place is Fantastic!I highly recommend that you try it, regardless of any negative remarks you see in reviews. If you are short on time, make an appointment; they are usually pretty busy on the weekends -- although that has never affected the level of service that I receive. So far, I've had three different nail technicians work on my nails, and I have never been disappointed.  They are indeed pretty friendly, and will always try to make you feel comfortable. Just remember that speaking down to anyone and being rude will all but guarantee that you'll get attitude. Why should they take it from the few condescending customers that come in? I moved to Kennesaw a few months ago from Athens and have been searching for a new place to get my nails done when I was recommended by a few friends to try Allure Nails. After visiting a few times, I must say I like it a lot. They are a bit disorganized with so many people trying to do so many different things at once in a small space and always have at least 2 or 3 people waiting. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from and are very clean. Aside from a little disorganization and a small work space, they do a great job! They make sure you get the results you want; one time I wanted my acrylics to be shorter so the lady continued to file them down until they were the length I wanted. Came here on a lunch break to get a pedicure and manicure with my real nails (no gels or acrylics).  I had an hour and a half, so I figured that should be plenty of time for both of those.  Was I wrong.  I sat in the pedicure chair with my feet soaking until they pruned waiting for the nail tech to come and do my pedicure.  They do not do the full service pedicure for the price stated, things like scrubbing off dead skin is an extra $5.  Which is included at most nail shops.  While my toenail polish was drying my nail tech started on my manicure while I was still in the pedicure chair.  I realized that I was running out of time and so I asked the nail tech to do my top coat on my toes so that my toe nails can dry for the next half an hour while she works on my nails.  She seemed to ignore me, so I repeated myself.  She finally decided to ask someone to translate, and then I heard her attitude without even knowing the language.  And she continued doing what she was doing with  my nails.  I had to take hands back from her and point to my toes to get her to do what I asked her to do.  At that point I only had about 20 mins left before I had to go to my meeting.  I can't wear open toed shoes to work so I let them dry for as long as I could before putting my shoes on. And of course I messed up the polish on three toenails.  After work I went back to the place and said I needed polish touched up on three toes, she tried to paint two heavy layers of polish over the toes and after she did it I told her it didn't look right and she needed to start over.  Again she tried to remove a PORTION of the nail polish and keep the thick mound on my foot and AGAIN I had to tell her to remove it all and start over.  She finally did and I was able to sit and let them dry properly and they ended up looking good.  But it was a long journey getting there.  I also noticed one girl came in, a student, and she had an appointment.  She waited half an hour and was running out the door due to being late for class even though she had an appointment for a fill-in. No. No. No. Hell no.Sad fact: Not all nail techs are good nail techs. Not every person working in a nail shop should do everything. I wish more businesses focused on what the tech is good at instead of everything on the menu! I'd rather spend my money on nails that look impeccable instead of walking out with trashy, NJ duck lip nails!My first visit, I came in for a pedicure and ended up getting a quick fill in with Henry. He did a good job so when I called back to ask for him, of course he wasn't available. I asked when he would be back and was told he would be out for a while but was encouraged to try someone else. I told her I needed someone that could do pink and white and she made me an appointment with her "best" nail tech. I don't like getting my pedicure and nails done at the same time. I know, boo hoo, white girl problem, but, I like to relax during my pedicure and you can't have the massage chair on if they're working your nails. No massage chair!? Fail! I attempted to turn the chair on and the tech promptly shut it down!Just because I wear gel over my real nails doesn't mean I want them to look like globbed on acrylic nails. Guess what, not only did the "best" nail tech glob on the gel but she fanned out my tips to the point where they look like thick scoops. I could have been an extra on any NJ TV show! After being shamed by my friends, I ended up going back that same night to have them narrow out my nails. Not only were the nail techs offended and tried to argue with me about my nails but the "best" nail tech refused to even look at me! I was overly nice and did not raise my voice like I should have because I didn't want to cause a scene but as I made my request, they all began to talk loudly back and forth in their language and soon the entire salon, customers included, were staring at me. The "best" nail tech refused to touch my nails and the new girl they sat down in front of me whittled down my NJ fan nails to stubs. She was so rough she cut up my cuticles!
