Walked in here with orange hair (from a botched dye job) and Samantha spent several hours fixing my hair and I absolutely love it. It's now a gorgeous shade of blonde with some streaks of a fun blue - very ice princess. The women that work here are a lot of fun while also being professional about what they do. I wouldn't trust anyone else in Hinesville to do my hair more than Dannielle at Rock Chick's! I've gone to her for several things over the last 2 years but this week she did an unbelievable color correction on my hair. I went to a different salon on Saturday and my hair ended up black and yellow and my maternity photos are coming up in just a few days! Dannielle, Sam and Natalia are all miracle workers and got my hair back to a lovely shade of brown with a nice ombre/balayage! It was a huge job as my hair had to be stripped but they did an outstanding job! So if you're thinking of going to another salon in town... don't! Just took my 2 sons in for haircuts and it was a great experience! My oldest never had the full salon treatment so he enjoyed the shampooing and massage. My toddler didn't scream like he normally does and the stylist Samantha was so patient with him when he started moving around. The staff is very kid friendly and the place is very clean. I've searched for a stylist to do my hair. I had a picture of the exact way that I wanted it done. Danielle was able to cut & color it exactly the way I wanted it. I left there so happy. The manager wasn't friendly, there isn't a price list they quoted a rough estimate of 130-160 for highlights only on the front of my hair. Before they came up with the price the stylist and manger whispered amongst each other before quoting the price. I felt very uncomfortable. I will NEVER go back again. Read Less

My color was ok, it was a bit darker than I hoped it would be. My issue is that I was quoted $120 and when I went to check out it was $200. I don't mind paying for things like this but if there is going to be a huge difference in price the customer should be told about it first. Well I'm wildly unimpressed by this salon. Wish I could give it NO stars. I attempted to try something new & pretty drastic..spent my whole life shades of brown & red & decided to switch it up & tried going lighter. I figured an ombré would be the best route so it would blend into my natural hair colour & grow out with my hair. The salon seemed pretty savvy on colouring hair when I went in for a consultation so I made an appointment & started my biggest appearance change to date. However, my experience was just bad. (& I think it says a lot that after years of reading reviews before going anywhere, this is my very first google review ever...) First off, all the stylists do is just stand around gossiping about EVERYTHING..including each other the second someone walks out of the room which not only made me feel really awkward but also put a bad taste in my mouth for the character of the staff. Anyways, so I trust this girl to do my hair & after she was done with it, I hated it. Didn't wanna hurt her feelings because she seemed like a nicer girl of the bunch but all I could manage to say is that it looked different. Even the manager woman came over & I could see a hard-to-hide disgust in her face that clearly confirmed that my hair came out horrible & all she could find the words for was what to do at my next appointment.. now I get it, dying lighter takes a few appointments. I could've lived with the brassy colour for a bit until the next go-around but when I got home & really looked at what she did it my hair...believe when I tell you it looks worse than the "before" pictures on every colour correction post I've seen for an ombré. I just have weird patches of bleached colour, no flow, no smooth transition.. there's funky streaks that come up way too high. Don't know what to do at this point because I'm really not trying to WASTE another $220 at this amateur shop.. all I can say to anyone looking to get their hair specially coloured is good luck. I took my 16 year old niece for a before school cut and color, the staff were great with her. Paid great attention to what she was looking for, and even recommended a few colors and styles, end result was fantastic! For a guy sitting in a hair salon, it wasn't as boring as one might think. Wouldn't even send my enemy there ... I had heard rumors that the staff at this salon was rude and unprofessional , I still have them the benefit of the doubt and as a customer service professional myself I wanted to go in and see what the real deal was , needless to say I was met by very rude almost snobbish attitudes , let's not even talk about the looks . Still I went ahead and tried to make an appt , thinking maybe the attitude will change and all , no not even then , it's a high school type clic mentality that I doubt will last in this town of beautifully diverse individuals ....
