Best place hands downs.. Another salon across the street messed me up, I came here they took care of me. They made sure I liked my nails before I left out. They make you feel very comfortable. I came there to get my nails and feet done before my birthday I asked for Acrylic nails I'm not sure what her name is but she kept asking me personal questions like " Do you work " ? " Where do you work " ? " How many days do I work " then she started asking me about my nails saying " why I don't get sns " I said because I only want acrylic she then replied back say " why you can't afford " ? It was a fine experience. The staff was nice, very friendly and quick, but I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure... and as all nail salons, they tried to upsell me. I hadn't had SNS before (honestly hadn't heard of it before) but they told me it was good for my nails and would last weeks longer than gels. Since gel only lasts about a week, I figured I'd try it. What they didn't tell me was that it was similar to acrylic, and they had to put tons of layers on my nails. I absolutely hated the feeling of them. They didn't do a good job and got the product on my fingers themselves instead of staying solely on the nails. This drove me crazy and I could not keep from picking at them to get them off my fingers. I believe that had this been applied correctly, it would have lasted longer and been much more pleasant. I have been looking for a new nail salon in the area. The day I went I was specifically looking for color changing gel nail polish. Surprisingly a few salons don't carry it. But V Nails had SO many. The one I picked was mislabeled and the ladies in the salon worked really hard to hunt down the correct bottle for the color sample I picked. I mean there were probably 5 ladies on it and they were really nice about it!The lady who did my nails did a really good job. One nail wasn't filed perfectly but I'm less OCD these days so it was okay. The polish lasted and didn't chip. She did not paint on my cuticles so I was a really happy customer. I went to this place because I'm new in the area and I needed a manicure ASAP. I look up a nail salon on the internet and this place popped up as first option, it seemed nice according the reviews so I decided to go. The attention was ok, I had a gel manicure and a regular pedicure done. Asked for my nails to be clipped and when they finished everything seemed to be alright. Gel manicure is supposed to last 2 weeks but my nails started to peel off just 5 days after that. I called to see if they could fix them and they did which was very nice. But after the 2 weeks passed and the gel started to come off I realized that my nails were horribly clipped they didn't have a shape at all, terrible!! They were more focused on serving more customers at the same time than in giving a customer a nice and good quality service. Sadly, I won't go back to this place. Read Less

The breakdown: I've been here once and would not come again. Very nice staff but horrible job on my nails. Pretty cheap-average prices for services. I went to V nails once when I had to get my nails done for graduation and my normal salon- Tina's- was completely full- never going back. I asked for a basic manicure with black polish with silver glitter on my ring finger. I could you not when I say she applied 4 layers of black polish and 6 layers of the gel polish. Additionally, the black polish was put on messily and I had to clean it myself with a Q tip when I got home! My nails took over 12 hours to dry (yep, 12 hours) because of the many layers put on them. The only reason I gave them two stars is because they're staff was really quite sweet and tried to fix what I asked them to. Plus, my sisters mani turned out pretty nice. Tip- they have this one brand of nail polish they use that has extra shine that costs $3 extra but they don't tell you that until after you get the mani done. Read Less

Let me first say , I actually use to love this nail spot . Mandy is still my fave seeing as she wasn't here today while I was being ignored and skipped over . I sat in this nail salon for an hour and 45 minutes and watched as 5 to 6 customers came in behind me and were seated in minutes . I came for a manicure and pedicure , with gel polish for toes powder for nails . Neither got done . I'm actually offended seeing as I come to this salon regularly and spend at least $60 , 75+ with tip. Idk the service is lacking . They don't communicate or make you feel welcome . This nail salon is just a big no. First they cut my nails all uneven and my gel polish was hardly opaque and extremely streaky. My friends toenails were cut super short to the point of being uncomfortable. Their color selection is decent but their customer service and skills are very poor. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I had to go to another nail salon to get my nails done the same day. I would never return to this place again. Read Less

This is my third time going to this location.  The first time I absolutely loved it.  The second time, I sat in the chair soaking for almost an hour.  I had to leave to pick up my child.   Today, I thought I would give them another try.  I waited in the lobby area for 45 min. I give up. I left there and went to At Nails.  I walked in and got right in a chair. Someone was with me within ten minutes.  That's a lot better for a standard manicure.   I gave them two stars for the really great first experience.  The last two visits were a gross waste of my time. I've given myself better manicures at home. Called ahead to find out if there was a wait time. They said no. As soon as my friend and I walked in for our mani pedis, we were seated in the massage chairs. Apparently that's what they meant by no wait time, because we waited over 30 mins for a technician to actually start on us. The pedicure was decent; which is the only reason I'm giving this place two stars. In the middle, she asked if I want my callouses removed. Of course. "That's an extra 3 dollars". I've never been to a nail salon that charged extra to smooth out your feet. The lady doing my nails left 3 or 4 times to tend to other things which was pretty annoying. She tried to rush my manicure and made a complete mess of it. My nails are jagged, she didn't even bother filing it so they had a smooth edge. There was cotton dried into several nails. And she left massive blank spots by my cuticles. I noticed all of this while seated at the little UV desk. She rushed to me, applied another layer of polish and top coat while I was standing by the door. My thumb came in contact with the edge of a piece of paper over an hour after I left the salon and it still made a dent in the polish. It was a complete waste of time and money. Read Less

In town for a wedding and had chipped my shellac.  Found this nail salon on yelp and I wish they had more current reviews.  I am guessing if their current customers posted reviews they would have a much better rating. My husband and I went in on a Saturday morning.  I got an excellent manicure and shellac and he had a very relaxing pedicure. We never felt rushed. All of the staff was very friendly. I was very impressed with the attention to details and quality of the shellac. If I ever travel back I would definitely return! Read Less

This place gave me the worst gel manicure and pedicure I've ever had. The gel nail Polish wasn't even covering my nails well, when I bought it to the manicurists attention she replied, "no ones going to look that close at your nails, don't worry. " this was not the response I expected. The pedicure was quick and the Polish was all on the outside of my nails. My pedicure was already chipping the next day. Good place to go if you are in a rush and don't really care about the outcome.  It was the day before I flew out for my wedding and I was in a major time crunch.  They did a decent job, but the acrylic they used was applied incorrectly.  It came out wavy and it bugged me, but I was about to get on an airplane to a place I had never been before and knew I would not have time to locate a place and get my nails done before the wedding, so there wasn't much I could do.  I won't return, but it was ok. I started a new job on Sugarloaf, and I'm looking for a new nail place.  I gave this place a try.  I will not be back.  I found the place to be dirty and cluttered.  Nail Techs were not wearing the white shirts required by law.  The whole experience was stressful.  After I was done, I wanted to go to Frontera next door for a drink.    I get color soak gel which requires acetone for removal.  Instead of wrapping each finger in foil, they put a big bowl of acetone on my lap on top of my magazine.  I was so uncomfortable trying not to spill the acetone all over me.  At one point, I was actually in pain trying to balance it.  The worst part is that my credit card was charged twice for services so I had to get on the phone to dispute the charges.  I won't be back.  Sill hunting for a new salon. I have been going to V Nails for as long as I can remember...  maybe 1999...  it's been too long.  I feel like they are my family.  They treat everyone like family.  You go in and they call everyone by name!  They have so many very loyal customers that keep going back to them.I'm not the easiest person to please, but they always do a wonderful job on my nails and my toes.  I do pink and white nails and it usually lasts for 3 weeks.  I always get compliments on my nails and people ask me where I go...  This is the place!  You can't go wrong with anyone that works there.  They all do a fantastic job!  Thanks ladies! I stopped in one night after a late night at work. I was happy they were open a little later than some places. I was greeted quickly, as you usually are, and I picked my color and sat right down. I really LOVED the massage chairs, not your typical chair, way more options and a massaging seat bottom, very cool! The place was clean and the staff nice and they did a decent job.
