My experience at star was soo horrible!!!!! I was getting my nails done for prom and the lady stopped in the middle of doing my nails to do someone's lashes. Unprofessional. So, they proceeded to do my pedicure and that was fine. The man who did my nails didn't do the same design on my pointer finger. I was very disappointed and he refuses to fix it!!!!!!!!! On top of that he gave me the wrong polish instead of giving me black polish it changes from black to blue. I will NEVER go here again. Read Less

I absolutely HATE this place. Went and this little young girl named Tina did my nails well attempted to do them. None of the nails were the same length, the gel looked bubbly and not even a week later the nails started coming off. Talked to manager who tried to get me to pay for them to mess me up again talking about "you need new nails" then gonna tell me Tina hasnt been there in over 2 weeks!! Lies! Not sure about the negative reviews, honestly. I've only been to one better nail salon besides this place! Maybe it's because I get pedicures, not manicures, but if you're looking for a pedicure, this place is the best! Last time I got a basic pedicure, that was easily the longest leg massage I've ever had during a pedicure. Very friendly staff and way better than some of the other nail salons in town! Read Less

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews, honestly, because I've tried every nail salon in town and it's by far the best. I don't get manicures, so I can't comment on that, but whenever I get a pedicure, it's my second-favorite place to get it done (the other is in Macon, so I don't go there much). Unlike one other salon in town, they don't forget to paint half of your nail (not saying any names), or forget to turn on the air conditioning like two other salons in town (again, no names), and they actually listen when you tell them "The water is too hot" instead of just pretend they didn't hear you (again, no names). My favorite thing, though, is the personal touch. The staff always greet you like a regular even if you only go every month or so like I do. It feels more friendly than most nail salons I've been to where they just ask what you want and then that's the last words you hear until they tell you what you owe before you go. I like this place. Came in needing a gel manicure, pedicure, and a brow wax, but it was so hot in there that I only got my brows waxed. The young lady was nice and there was no wait for the service. The cost was $7.00, but it was entirely too hot in there to sit for additional. Read Less

Dirty salon.  Inconsiderate and pushy.  The water was scalding but the lady grabbed my foot and put it in the water anyways. Tools not sanitized. I witnessed another tech waxing a client with a wax stick that was not changed between applications... That's disgusting. No state Board rules or laws were followed and I can't wait to get State Board on the phone.  As a cosmetology license holder,  this place was a freaking nightmare. Do not waste your time or money.
