This is my go to place in downtown Decatur for pedicures, manicures, and waxing. You can walk right in and you'll be asked to sign in for service. Their staff is friendly, accommodating, and generally there isn't much of a wait. They have a wide selection of nail polish and they can do a manicure while you're getting your pedicure. How efficient! They have a mani and pedi combo deal of $35. Their pedicures are very relaxing and they have those comfy massage chairs that add to your relaxation. You can trust them with brow waxing which is only $10. Tip: Pay in cash for service over $30 for nine visits and you get free $30 service in return on your next visit. Back when I was in college (‘12/‘13), I would frequent this place and it was consistently awesome: atmosphere; quality of service; and pleasant, personable technicians. I went back late 2016. The atmosphere had changed, but quality of service was still great. Went back January 2018, and I was so displeased. My interpersonal experience was very abrasive and distasteful. The quality of my service was so far below what I remember receiving years ago. During my eyebrow wax, an obviously unskilled rookie managed to wax some hair from my hairline. I got a fullset that was thin and overall poorly-executed (2 popped off within 4 days, which was surprising because the technician claimed she’d been doing nails for over 20 yrs.) When I asked about the color they were putting on my nails incorrectly, I was told it was a base color (SNS polish) and the color I wanted be put on top (gel color). Needless to say, that plan didn't work and the color came out terribly wrong. I came there last Thursday (4/13/17) to have a relaxing evening of a mani/pedi. Instead of taking time on me, they had two manicurists working on me at the same time which stressed me out because I had to twist my body to turn to the one working on my hands while trying to stay still for the pedicure. The one working on my hands made my gel manicure too thick, it looked unnatural. I mentioned this to her and she replied shortly that it is how gel nails looked ( I have been getting manicures for years all over the U.S) that is not true. Anywho I just told her to remove it if that is what gel nails look like at Viet Nails. I then asked for a regular manicure When it came time to pay, she charged me for removing the gel nails. I went on vacation the next day and it look 2 days for the polish on my fingers to chip. Mind you I was on vacation relaxing, no heavy duty work. Horrible experience. Will never go back! Waited 15 minutes while 4 nail techs stood around talking. Finally sat and the nail tech that I had was having issues with her sander. I asked her if she find another sander, she said no, there is only 1 other sander in the salon. I asked her to atleast get started doing the old school way, by hand with a file, she said no. After 30 minutes of this, I was watching her do my nails, very sloppy work, figured it would turn out nice and give her the benefit of the doubt. Nope. Nails have gel build-up on the sides, aren't the same length, not even painted completely. Worst experience ever! If they offered me free nail service for a year, I would refuse! Read Less

I tried this nail salon for the first time on New Year's Eve with my mother. They were PACKED but we were still seated quickly. I had a gel manicure, my mom had a spa pedicure and we were both pleased with the results. The woman who did my manicure was FAST but effective. Everyone was friendly. Overall it was a great experience! I tend to prefer a more relaxed experience, but that's what I get for going on NYE! I will certainly be giving them another try since it is so close to where I live. Read Less
