So I'm excited because after 2 yrs of marriage I'm retiring my starter ring and receiving my real wedding ring. In my search to support black business and get a set of fly nails I book an appt on style seat with One13 luxury nails. I was uncomfortable with having to use my credit card to book appt but the pictures look like it will be worth it. I can't sleep thinking about my new to die for nails... I walk my dog early, my husband and I skip breakfast, and I opt for no makeup just so I can be on time. When I arrive lights off and door locked! The script on the front door says they open at 9:30 on Saturday, it's 9:45 and I'm standing outside. I go back to the car explain to my husband and we wait. At 9:55 I call the number on the door someone answers and tells me to wait 5 mins. It's 10:20 and at this point my disappointment is thru the roof. My excitement is gone, I'm hungry, and worried that my card will be charged and I haven't received any services. I call back again no answer this time. Finally someone shows up and all she can say is I thought your appt was 10:30 and that we can still get started. No offer of a discount for the inconvenience, mind you if I was late I was going to be charged. If I didn't show I was gonna be charged. If I cancelled I was going to be charged. Now had I went to another business, they would have been there at 9:00 turning on lights and getting ready to get that money at 9:30. Instead we leave and go over to the jeweler that's not even a1/4 mile away and I get my ring have my beautiful emotional moment with my husband and my jacked up nails. Read Less

First of all, my nail just chipped. Today is Friday. My appointment was Wednesday. Not to mention that this manicure was the worst manicure in the history of manicures. It looks like I let my 7 year old sister paint them. When I arrived at my appointment there was only one person working (odd). My technician even had to deny someone with an appointment because there was no one else there to do it. My technician was also typing on her phone (with her elbows up on the table like a typical bratty teen at thanksgiving dinner) for much longer than was appropriate. It took her over an hour to do a simple gel mani. I was very annoyed with the whole appointment including the conversation. This is not really luxury nails.  I did enjoy the owners hand made scrubs and oils, the low lighting, the appointment only setting, and the music.  It was really hot outside, and the salon was quiet, cool and relaxed.The seats are not comfortable, it's a fabric covered wooden bench, like an upholstered church pew sitting up a few feet.  The manicure chairs are run down office chairs.  I think for this to be luxury their should have been massage chairs or more plush or leather seating with armrests.  The space needed some touching up, there were holes in the ceiling.  I was not offered anything to drink, even though the Groupon included champagne.  I had prebooked the appointment and stated that it was on the Groupon, but when I arrived and asked for something cold, I was offered water because the wine was not cold.The polish job was a bit amateur.  My toenails were not painted with the same number of coats, so my toes had different shades of red.  I did notice a fully rusted nail clipper on the station, even though it wasn't used on me.I get the direction the owner was trying to go in in building and creating this space, but I think it misses the mark on "luxury" and therefore the price, even with a Groupon, doesn't match the experience.Sadly, I would not recommend this place for a luxury nail treatment.  However, it's a quiet intimate setting and isn't bouncing off the wall with cable tv, children, loud conversations over each other, and loud patrons.A plus ... the owners scrubs ... if you are looking for a good scrub, swing by here to purchase.  I love a good scrub and her scents and textures are high end quality. I went here bc I was gifted a Groupon for a mani and pedi. Wasn't a fan of the location (I live in buckhead), nor the salon itself. Sam did my mani and pedi and she did as well as she could. I knew I couldn't expect super professional work from a place like this the minute I walked in. I tipped her well, even though she left before my nails dried. They don't have anything cept mini fans to help dry nails. I waited to dry my fingernails for 30 min, and toes even for longer. The polish was getting chipped easily, while Sam was there, and even after she left. She didn't fix it, nor was there anyone else available to fix. The owner was servicing someone else in the back. Two hours after getting my nails done, I took a shower and my polish is ruined. There's wrinkles and lines all over the polish. I wouldn't go here nor would I recommend this place. Read Less

They have a extensive collection of polishes to choose from including opi, Essie, Kiara sky and much more. Found this place through Groupon. Really nice more elegant and small than regular nail salons.  Called to book an appointment. It was quick she was able to see me as soon as possible. She offered wine but I decline (unfortunately I had go drive back home ). I asked about the nail arts. They didn't have a lot of samples to show. So if you are considering getting nail arts bring a picture and show it to her. There is an extra fee for arts paid for t before she started on my nails but since She didn't she gave me the money back. That shows that she is a sincerity person. I can trust that they won't overcharging you.I'm sad to say that the brand CND shellac didn't lasts. My nails was already chipped in day 2. Going back to using gel manicure. Read Less

I have been looking for a black owned nail salon in my area for awhile now. I was excited when I came across this location on IG. All of the pictures online of their work was absolutely beautiful. I called on Thursday afternoon to schedule an appointment for my daughter and I for the following Friday morning. When scheduling the appointment I indicated which service we both were getting. We arrived this morning at out scheduled time and the young lady, Samantha, that greeted ...us was very nice. However, she stated that she was unable to complete the services we were there to get but she indicated she could "prep" us until the nail tech arrived. Our appointment was at 10 am and an hour later the nail tech still had not arrived. The ONLY reason we stayed was because my daughter had already been prepped. While waiting, another customer walked in with a 10:30 appointment and she eventually left because no one was available to do her mani and pedi. I ended up not getting my nails done at all. Another young lady, Donisha, came in to finish my daughter's nails (not the person who was supposed to complete them). Samantha offered me a free pedicure because she felt bad. However, at that point there was already a bad taste in my mouth. In all honestly it wasn't her error to correct. The nail tech/owner, Cara, finally came in around 11:15 am... No apology. No acknowledgement of her unprofessionalism. Nothing. This is utterly ridiculous and I am highly disappointed. My experience was HORRIBLE!!! What was the purpose of scheduling an appointment if the nail tech wasn't going to be in to complete the services!? So since I have transitioned from working in a lab environment to an office environment, I decided to take the leap back into wearing nail tips. This was a big deal for me, especially since I haven't worn tips in 10 years. I wanted to try a salon closer to my house, but their booking system was a little complicated for me. I came across One13 on LivingSocial and was pleasantly surprised to see that she was near my job! I booked my appointment on StyleSeat (easy peasy!) and was on my way.Kara is a breath of fresh air. She is professional, funny, and cares about her craft. I spent most of my afternoon with her and Tanika for my full set and pedicure. OMG the pedicure was so awesome, plus the polish is STILL INTACT after a month and that is rare. Most polishes wear off in 1-2 weeks. I received the Vanity Glam Nails Service, which includes a full set and bling. Best believe I got all the bling I could while keeping it looking professional. My nails looked great.The salon is beautiful and very girly. Kara serves wine or a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice every time you come in. Every woman wants a regular nail esthetician whom she can trust to take care of her every two weeks. And after trying many of nail salons I think I have finally found one who deserves my loyalty.A friend and I went in yesterday just to give it a try after seeing her prices and pictures on Styleseat. As soon as we walked in we noticed how absolutely gorgeous the venue is. Purple, white, mirrors, art, music, and then she offered us wine. The atmosphere is absolutely astonishing and Cara, the owner as well as the nail professional, took care of both my friend and I in a timely fashion even though she was by herself.I have her creative range on my nails and told her to do whatever she liked. Must I say that I was beyond pleased? She is very professional, knows what looks good, and she is absolutely charming. Very wonderful person to talk to. She kept us smiling the whole time. I would absolutely recommend this place but just be who, that this place is very new, so if you're bringing more than just yourself, call ahead and let her know.
