I’ve been coming here since I moved to Dacula. The past two times have been awful and I am so sad because I really liked this place. They rush so the job they do isn’t very good. I went for pedi and SNS. I tried SNS for the first time at another nail salon. Professional Nail salon on lawrenceville (a bit farther than where I live which is why I didn’t go) and I loved it. Here she did it so messy. My nails are ugly so now I have to go fix them somewhere else. Cuticles weren’t even cut. So disappointed. Never coming back her again. I walked in and was serviced pretty quickly. The pricing was in line with what I have paid in my home state. The lady was very attentive and had me relaxed within the first few minutes. The only complaint was the water was tepid and could have been a lot warmer. I liked the experience. Read Less

Bottom line: This place needs to shut down. It doesn't make any sense to be this damn terrible. It's not even terrible, Charles Barkley level "TURRUBULE".What makes matters worse, is the fact that I don't even visit this place on a regular basis. I haven't had services here in over a year and they're STILL unapologetically terrible.The wait time in this joint is upwards of 45 minutes for simple manicure. We're talking about an acrylic gel fill in. I waited 45 minutes and I still have to go somewhere else to get this shit fixed. Also, the old guy in there is the only person who knows how to work with acrylic nails. How in the hell are you going to have a salon Full of nail techs and no one knows how to work with acrylics except for one person?The pinky finger on my right hand hurts for some bizarre reason and I don't even want to know why at this point. Since day one the only tech that does my mani/pedi is Lena. The other techs treat customers like an inconvenience. Who is paying who? Never in my life have I been to a salon where all the employees look like they are mad at the world. I've been going to blue sky for over a year and I am glad they all know I only let Lena work on my nails. With a nail salon on every corner, the manager needs to remind his employees that custom service comes first. Since he is related to half the techs in the salon, the family should work together. If I could give 0 stars I would. I first walked in with SNS nails I wanted them removed and I told the MANAGER that I wanted GEL NAILS instead. He asked if I wanted manicure I said no and I asked how much to remove and get gel nails he said 25$ I looked at the sign it obviously said 30 for gel nails and so when I said $30 he said no $25 whatever he was then proceeding to do the gel polish & I told him no gel nails. ALL OF A SUDDEN he got RUDE and did my nails HORRIBLE he didn't smooth them out and left them thick and lumpy I proceeded to stay quiet at the end when he so called finished he put oil on my nails and said "is this what you wanted." I got pissed washed my hands and asked one of the co workers if the man doing my nails was the mAnager she said yes I told her the story and he came back sat down and said what's wrong he tried arguing with me and I told him he just did a bad job and he said I'll fix it I told him no thank you and he said no it takes only 5 minutes I told him no thanks I have to go to work and I paid 40$ for this crap I left and went to nail bar by bojangles. Do not go to Blue Sky Nails in Dacula! They tried to charge me $32 for a FILL IN. They tried charging $16 plus tried charging me for the Gel Polish (which was an extra $20, apparently) when it clearly stated on their sign Gel Fill ins are $20. Their sign did not state "polish add ons" and when you point it out they get offended and try saying powder polish and gel polish are different prices when it doesn't say anything about "powder polish" on their price list?? ... Maybe they used to be ok but they are horrible now. I went in for a mani/pedi no color (having surgery next week and cant have paint on nails) but I did opt for the more expensive option ($54 for both). One lady finished my mani while the other was doing my pedi... i still had dirt under my nails (i work in a shop and get DIRTY!) and hang nails when she was finished. My pedi is supposed to include a neck and shoulder massage...that didn't happen. I was very displeased. Read Less

I visited this salon on a Friday evening due to a nail emergency. I was treated poorly and felt as if my daughter and I were not welcomed. I was not greeted/acknowledged upon entering the facility, the nail tech did a very sloppy job on my fill in, and the whole experience felt rushed. I have been going to this salon for a few months. It's just okay, nothing great. Last week my visit took almost 2 hours for a mani/pedi because they did not do the manicure until after the pedicure. That surprised me because they weren't all that busy. The reason that I will not be coming back is, my service was $28 and I tipped $5 for a total of $33. These people were absolutely horrible. I went there expecting professional service for my nails, and instead they did not do my nails all the same length. The job was sloppy and they also made my fingers bleed. It seemed as though they were angered at me for getting only Acrylic and not gel nor my eyebrows done when they asked, so they took it on our my fingers. I am a man. Walked in and was seen right away. Very Clean place. They use plastic liners for foot tub. Clean tools too! Amazing and professional! I don't know what other reviews are talking about, this place is World Class and the nail technician went to town on my feet. I got a pedicure before I went on vacation. Needless to say my feet have never been so smooth. I was impressed my the cleanliness! The foot massage was well worth the visit. I have an injury on my right ankle, the lady was superb. Highly recommended! I paid $22 for my pedi.. Tipped her well because she was working on my feet for 45 minutes. Clean. Professional. Very Happy! Read Less

I am visiting from out of town and needed my eyebrows waxed. I noticed Blue Sky Nails in the shopping center as I was going to grab some groceries at Kroger. I was hesitant to have my eyebrows done at a nail salon, but I thought if I explained to them what I wanted, it would be okay. At first, they were friendly and took me right back to the waxing room. I specifically explained that I DO NOT like thin eyebrows and NOT to touch the overall thickness of them. She said she understood and would just trim them up. She did the exact opposite of what I asked for and made them EXTREMELY thin. They look like they are penciled on my face. I wanted to cry. After I told her what I thought of them, she argued with me and said, "They look good!" She got her manager and they proceeded to speak another language. Not only did she ruin my eyebrows, but an apology was never given and I still had to pay. I'm sure they're great with nails, but I would NOT recommend having your eyebrows waxed at Blue Sky Nails. It really blows my mind this place is rated so high. All the workers did was talk to each other and barely acknowledge you. Not like I go to make friends but I wanna enjoy my experience.... She cut my cuticles too deep and I bled. I get it that happens, but never at my usual place. Maybe finding a location closer to home was I bad idea. Horrible customer service - I have an interview tomorrow so I went here to get a polish change and when I sat down she asked me if I want a fill in. I already had a new set last week so I said no and told her why. I have solar nails and I explained that to them,  instead of letting me know I had to put the new color on top she started filing my color off. She was scraping so hard I asked her to stop. She got someone else who wasn't nice at all. She said since I didn't want a new set that I had to put a color on top of what I have. I had bright pink and I explained I wanted a light color since I have an interview. She said there isn't anything she could do to help me and I asked her how are we going to fix the nails that they already started scraping the color off, which were two nails. She said there's nothing she could do and I said no one explain this to me prior to removing some of my color. She said it was a miscommunication but I explained that I spoke very clearly. She got up and said there's nothing she can do besides put a darker color or a new set. I explained that if they told me this sooner,  I could have went to Luxury Nail which is further but they have 60 choices of color rather than where I was. She started getting mad and started getting loud. I explained that she didn't need to raise her voice at me. She just left me there and started giving someone a pedicure. I sat there for ten minutes and she never came back. I asked for the management and she said they weren't there.  I just got up and went to another nail salon. I wouldn't even give this place one star! First of all, my water was cold. Secondly, they didn't even do the pedicure me and my mom wanted. Thirdly, they didn't even bother asking if we wanted designs. And lastly, they told my seven year old cousin to sit down and they'd do her last when she wanted to go first. My visit here was horrible! First off I came in to fix a nail that had broken. I was the only one in the salon. The lady doing my nails was annoyed that it wasn't a full set and I could see it on her face. She was very rough and made me  bleed but cutting my cuticles too much! Then they started to speak in their language and all the ladies in the salon kept coming over and looking at me and talking in another language. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable! And to top it off, as if this visit wasn't horrid enough, she made my nail crooked! I kept asking her to fix it. She would file it on one side and left the other side! Yes they were busy but I waited 30 min with no service and others that walked in after me were getting done first. I have been going here sense the salon opened and I will not be going here again. I got a manicure and pedicure combo they said it was $44 for the set and an additional $10 for gell on my fingers. I said ok and when I got to the front she was trying to charge me $60 for it all she did not do the $44 combo with the $10 she split the manicure and pedicure and charged me $32 for the pedicure and 28$ for the manicure! I was so upset and when I gave her the $60 in cash she sat their arguing with me that I dident give her enough even though I even put in a $5 tip! I will not be returning ever again. This is for my visit yesterday 9/29/14. I had been to this location before and received a wonderful pedicure, which is the reason I am giving this review 2 stars. My visit yesterday warrants zero stars. I called before my arrival and inquired to the price of a gel manicure. I was told it was 20 dollars, and given that this was an amazing price, I told them I would be there at 10:15 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Upon my arrival I was told that the gel manicure is actually 28 dollars, gel color alone is 20. This should have been when I left, however I agreed to the new price and sat in the pedicure chair to begin. I sat there for 15 minutes alone after the water was drawn for my feet and the gel removal strips on my fingers. At this point the water was cold and some lady swung by trying to physically shove my feet into the water. I told her it was cold, and instead of fixing it she walked away. At this point the gentleman (the owner I believe) came back and asked why I didn't tell him. I told him he had left me unattended.  Long story short, my experience was atrocious. The woman who did my feet laughed at them (yes, they are very callus-y, but I work on my feet), the gentleman doing my nails cut me multiple times, and the pedicure chair I was sitting in was broken. I did not tip for my services, and as I work at a bar I know the magnitude of this. I hope they received the message loud and clear. I will not be returning. Read Less

I have tried several salons in the Grayson, Dacula, and Lawrenceville area and this is my favorite. I love to get the Deluxe Pedicure. It never feels rushed. It isn't especially fancy inside but it is clean and the ladies there are very nice and accommodating. The prices are very fair as well. Read Less

I went to this nail salon on a Sunday and by Wednesday my nails were cracked and peeling off. The guy Terry who did them was nice and pleasant to talk to but their gel wasn't not quality. Also the rhinestones that were placed on my nail fell off both fingers. Here I am a week later and my nails look like they were never done. I truly love this place.  It doesn't look any different than any other nail salon, but the attention to detail, pride in work, and happy people make a tremendous difference.I go for a pedicure every 6-8 weeks and have solar nails that need filling around the same timing, so I'm in their once a month for something.  The technicians know their stuff and somehow can put on acrylics/ solars so quickly and effortlessly while doing a fantastic job.  But my favorite is the pedicure - there is a lot more massaging and rubbing that happens here compared to anyplace I have been.  Their standard pedi ($20) comes with a massage and hot towels, and you can upgrade to extended time for the massage, various scrubs and lotions etc.  They also have killer massage chairs that actually kneed and press, not just "move".  They even have a button that says "buttocks" if you need that massaged too...I'll tell you it is kinda weird if you are on the full massage cycle and aren't expecting it.If you are chatty they are too , if you are watching tv or enjoying your thoughts/ massage, they kindly leave you be and take care of pampering you.  They also seem to remember you from the previous visit and stop to say hi, which I find cool.I drive past at least 5 nail salons to get to this one...love it! The salon is a typical nail salon, offering pedicure, manicure and the rest. I can't speak to the nail work (that's my wife's department!) but the manicure and pedicure are great. There are several options for both; we tend to get the regular mani which includes a slight massage to the hand and arm. There are more options for pedi, which include a great Aloe Vera option which is very cost effective and includes a massage as well. The ladies do not speak much English but they really try their best to be understood and explain things as well as possible. Their manners and respect are top notch, though, and incredibly sweet. Again, while I personally don't do the other items, from a health-care and maintenance perspective, the manicure and pedicure with respective massages is absolutely worth the time and fee.
