I have always enjoyed the service level here but today they outdid themselves. My 5yo son desperately wanted a pedicure and I finally gave in. I was so worried about judgement but they absolutely fawned all over him. We were treated like royalty and got matching pedicures designed by my son. I gave a star because the nail technician was very friendly and another star because he painted my nails well.  Otherwise, I feel like I didn't even get a pedicure.  "Massage" was rubbing lotion on my legs for a few seconds and I still have callouses on my feet.  No foot filing or anything.  Disappointing. I have just started getting my nails done again, after almost 9 years. I read the reviews for My Nails and thought I would try them. My initial visit the guy that did my nails cut my thumb while shaping and went a little to far under one nail when trimming under one nail. I was still pleased with my nails, and understand everyone has their off days! I went for my fill in and the woman who did it was great. Very pleasant with just enough conversation! I tried this salon based on previous Yelpers' reviews. After multiple visits, I feel like I am ready to make a true unbiased assessment. For the most part, the staff has always been friendly and accommodating; however, there are a few technicians that are newbies or just not as skilled as the other staff in the salon.I normally get a traditional pedicure and an overlay fill with gel polish which costs under $50 and anyone can tell you in Atlanta that is a steal! They also provide waxing services and I have always been pleased with the results. The only caveat is there is one (1) skilled technician who does nails and waxing so if she is busy or unavailable, I usually go to my backup salon.  I highly recommend making an appointment if you want nail services besides mani/pedi. I'm would give this place 5 stars easily for the kindness of the people in this store. Unfortunately it's 2 stars due to the quality of pedicure I received. The person who did my pedicure cut the skin on the side of my toes twice with the cuticle clipper. Further they over shaped the toe nail digging straight into the skin around the nail. He was very nice and sincerely apologized when my toe began to bleed. I genuinely think he meant well but clearly more experience is needed. In addition there was hardly any massage and no hot stones were used though all the other Yelp reviews say that. So either my friend and I got gypped or the reviews are bogus. I'll let you decide fellow yelpers. Btw - my friend who was with me also had her skin cut by the manicure artist with the cuticle clipper and began to bleed. I've had my nails done a bunch (at least a 100+ times) and I've never been in so much pain after a pedi. It's sad because I really wanted this place to be great and the people here are very nice. So impressed with this place!!!! Told them what I wanted (natural, short nails) & they delivered. Did a beautiful job. The place is super clean. Also, A/C running on one of the warmer spring days (I've been to nail salons where the door is propped open for "air circulation" when it's like, 90 degrees outside!!!)I had a gel fill in & a pedicure & both nail techs were extremely polite & friendly. I came to this salon not knowing anything besides reviews i have read. The salon was very elegant and clean.The ladies were very sweet! My Pedicure and Manicure was great! Went to My Nails today to get my nails done (obviously) bc of the reviews I've read and I have to say, they did not disappoint! I had my old gel overlay removed and got the SNS nails done in its place. While Mimi, who was awesome, worked on that, David stated on my pedicure. I hit a fabulous foot massage with hot stones, hot towels, and an all around great pedi and then moved over to Mimi's station where the real magic began.I showed her a picture of what I wanted (which was not just a simple nail design) and she did a fantastic job! Not only was she able to almost duplicate the design 100%, she took her time, paid close attention to detail, and asked me along the way if I was happy with her work. The answer to that...ABSOLUTELY!
