This is the only nail place my family will go too. I can agree that yes some of the techs have an extreme attitude but when the manager sees them he nips them in the butt right away. There is usually quite a long wait however a lot of people make appointments and the walk ins are insane so the wait is more than expected. Also I've noticed that they are a little pricier than other salons BUT a lot of their spa treatments are vegan/organic therefore more expensive for them as well so I dont mind at all. Personally the only bad experience I had was when this lady was putting my flip flop back on I had a spasm and she yelled at me the whole time of fixing my toe I was mortified and couldn't stop apologizing but the other techs comforted me and I can assure you shortly there after she left for another salon. I use to love going to this nail shop until recently. The women that work in this shop do not like black people. That sucks because that's where they get the bulk of their money from. I get a horrible vibe... it's like only certain people deal with the black folks (half butt service) after they've had a conversation in their language and seem to get frustrated when you ask for specific people to complete a service YOU PAY them to do. To me, certain people are better than others as far as nails, pedicures, and waxing brows... don't tell me that everyone else is just as good... I like who I like and it's MY MONEY! Give me what I want so that I can pay you and be on my way. A bit of advice... Put your hard earned money back into your own communities. Don't make a different race rich when your people struggle to make ends meet especially when the customer service isn't up to par. I will not be returning. Read Less

I went to VIP Nails because of their positive Yelp reviews and honestly was disappointed. To begin with the positives, it was easy to find the salon and they got us right in. The pedicures were good, pretty standard but no complaints. My manicure, however, was pretty terrible. The technician assisting me didn't seem to be very comfortable manicuring and at one point ripped off a large portion of my cuticle causing me to bleed a lot. I was a little horrified about how little they helped me clean up the blood and there was was absolutely no apology. Another technician finished the manicure for me and did a nice job, but the damage was done. After the incident with my cuticle, I was pretty uncomfortable thinking about how hygienic the salon is. I could also tell as my nails were drying that the polish was too thick and would be chipping shortly. The manicure made it 4 days before it started chipping. But as I stated above, the pedicure was perfectly fine. The real star of this place seemed to be their eyebrow and eyelash services, which i did not receive but there was a huge line of local people there for those services.3/5 stars, but hoping I just had a bad tech and it's not a bad salon. Nails look good but weak massage. Men's pedi is $28 Women's is $28 not sure what they did more other than the Polish... I enjoyed the massage chairs and there are a lot of them. Place smelled clean but the tools are questionable. Read Less

In all the years I have been coming here. I have never been treated so rudely. By management and their staff. Had me wait for 2 hour for me to get a mini pedi. Ugh!! Now I'm going have to find another nail shop. The ladies who does eye lashes are the best. Read Less

The employees are super nice and down to earth. The other customers were very chatty and friendly as well. They make you feel like you are a family member in their house, and just there to pamper you, like a girl's beauty night with aunties. I had a pedicure $18, nail design $5, underarms waxed $20, legs waxed $40, and brazilian wax $45. Altogether, $128 for amazing service. They even used tweezers to stray hairs that remained after waxing! The waxing room looks funny, with storage boxes and home bedsheets on the wax table (bed). But you can see they try their best. And the results are the best I have had!They offer $23 lash extensions, but I honestly, I think that getting individual lashes placed at a high end salon would be worth it since they would look more natural, around $150. But if you want to just experiment and don't car about the plastic wax and very thick look, go for it ;) Read Less

My experience was not a good one. First off I called the shop before I went I was told it was 25 to get gel acrylic and regular was 20, it also is on the site- when I got there the man David who did my nails said it was 30 and he would do it for 28, never the less once he finished and i left. I saw that he had filed down my nails to the point that I wish I would've spent my money, they were way short and I also noticed that they were not even. On my index finger the acrylic us way thicker on the right side of the nail than the left side and they are way thicker than I would like them to be. I will call tomorrow to see if someone else can fix them but if not I won't be going back there at all. No one had money to waste like that. I mean if I just wanted to spend some money and not see what I spent it on I wouldn't taken my son to stars and strike or some place, we could've ate fastfood or something. Read Less

My husband and I get our toes done here all the time. I give 3 star because not everyone is experienced at giving pedicures. We only let 2 people touch our feet. Others are too rough or just don't do it right.Read Less

Ok where do I start...I've got to do the obvious. Being a man of African American decent I only get pedicures after long deployments and when I have to put my tux on. I checked out a few reviews and decided to use this place since was close to base with decent reviews. Walked in and was greeted by a nice Asian gentleman who directed to a chair. After sitting briefly a young African American lady walked up and asked was I getting a pedicure? You could have knocked me out the chair with a feather. My jaw dropped and I finally asked her are you going to do it. She thought I was hilarious and so did everyone else in ear shot. She did a hood job and was very nice  they have lots of chairs and stations and everyone seem to pleased with their service. I'm in awe and as long as I'm in the area I will come back....thanks V damn that felt goodI'm also thinking taking that business model to more homies....add a bar a couple pokes and some lights...maybe a all stage in the center...no cover just a two limb minimum (2 feet 2 hands 1 hand 1foot) and watch the brothers come through !!!!
