STAY AWAY!!! I wish I could give 0 stars. This is not my normal nail shop and i only went because my usual spot was extremely busy. They have the worst nail techs ever!! Let me start off by saying I do not do extensive work with my hands, I’m a customer service representative so I type all day... that’s it. By Saturday my nails were breaking and the paint was chipping. I went back to have them fixed and they refused to fix them even though t was clear this was an error on their part. My sister also got her nails done on that day and ironically the exact same thing happened to her. She was told that the reason her nails broke was because the top coat had worn off after 4 days!! I would give it no stars. I got a gift certificate from my kids for Christmas for this place. its been about two years since I've had acrylics and decided to get some. Well at first unless I'm missing something, are they not supposed to push back your cuticles and clean your nail beds up? She didn't even do that. So then we start and I'm liking them alot as a matter of fact I ended up loving them. But two days after I got them done I look at my left middle finger and the tip is completely gone, while the acrylic still stayed on my finger. I chaulk it up and was going to get it fixed when I got back into town. Well I get back 4 days later haven't even had them on a week and I go to open a drink and the right pointer finger tip just pushed back and fell off, my friend and I were in disbelief bc as anyone knows with acrylics if it's done properly it should tare your whole nail off. So I check the other ones and they all just come right off. No tugging clipping anything just pushing them back a little bit. So I go up there the next day with the tips still brand new looking and show them my hands and tell them what happened and she said that it was my fault and she would do paint for 20$. I was like heck naw. I want them redone the same way I got them, no difference the dsame way. Well ol body gaurd guy says the owner isn't here I'll have to come back thurs. This is a Monday. I told him I'm not walking around like this that they need to be fixed, meanwhile some random asian lady sitting on the couch is saying I probably got bored and bit them off. I told her she needed to be quite talking to me like that and she did. At this point in getting angry at the audacity if this place. Well two girls walk in and I am in the wrong for this and I do apologise for that, but I tell them not to get their nails done here or you'll end up getting ripped off and you'll end up like me. So ol bouncer guy is like naw you got to leave and I go and sit in the bench out side and wait for the police bc I want a incident report to prove I even went there. 55$ 45$ nails and a 10$ tip gone waisted and my girls were upset they also got ripped off. I'm recently separated and two weeks after that my father died. They just wanted to give me something nice to cheer me up and that's what I get. A hard time and a rip off literally. So just be cautious going here. Some of the techs are nice and stand behind their work from what I hear and some don't. Even though she told me if I had issues to come back and she would fix them. I always hear horrible reviews about John Nails but I always decide to give them a chance. My past two experiences where the worst and I definitely won’t come back. One experience I was rushed and I didn’t like how my nails look. Today I want to get my eyebrows done. I walked in at 5:10 pm. They close at 6 that day. I walked in and was greeted with “ we are not serving any more today” from one nail tech. The owner didn’t even asked what service I needed. THEY WERE STILL OPEN! I went today as a walk in and really enjoyed the services provided. The atmosphere was friendly and happy - everyone was laughing and chatting. My nails look amazing, too, which is the most important of course. Prices seemed reasonable - $45 for a full pink and white set - which took about an hour. I had nothing on my nails before because I hadn't been to a salon in over a year. I wouldn't expect to pay less anywhere else. I haven't gone for a pedi yet but it looks like a nice area with lots of chairs. I can't wait to try it out this summer! Will definitely be back soon! Read Less

Wasn't impressed.Didn't see where the utinsles were properly sterilized. Items came out of a plastic box.Attendant didn't use bottom clear coat, and I believe the only reason she put a top coat on was because I was commenting on the lack her doing the bottom.I won't be back.However, price was low of that is all you care about Read Less

The service is quite well. They are a bit pricy which is why I only go once a month instead of 2-3 times monthly but I feel good about the outcome when it is complete. I wish they had a couple deals every once in a while but I guess companies are about the money so I understand. Read Less

John nails its self is nice and clean in appearance. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smile, usually by Mr. Mike, and asked what you would like to have done. I've never had to wait longer than 10 mins for my requested nail tech. Mrs. Nina 😄 despite them always being busy, which I love! My nails are always beautiful when I leave. First visit here. Very disappointed with my nail service. I asked for a manicure and full set. My hands were not soaked; cuticles not trimmed; no moisturizer applied; no massage. Utterly ridiculous. My nails were filed uneven. I had to tell the tech to clean the dried acrylic that dripped underneath my nails. Five days after my visit and it looks like it has been two weeks. My pedicure was fine. I was in chair 6 for the pedicure and chair 9 for the manicure. I will NOT return to this salon. Read Less

My last duty station in the Army was Fort Benning; finding this gem gave me a sense of familial love outside the post's gates! They great you as soon as you walk in, and continues to just get better as they take care of you - and that's exactly what they did for me! They do an amazing job taking their time on your nails and toes...AND...go above! I have been offered and was able to partake in some of the foods they would bring and share with their coworkers! For a long time this was my number one nail place, but the last few times I've gone I've had bad experiences. The staff is nice, and the place is nice but the last couple times I have gotten an inexperienced girl who made mistakes on my acrylics, like putting too much glue, cutting my cuticles, just small but annoying things. Despite this, I returned hoping that maybe I would have a better experience. I finally was placed with a different nail tech, and this experience is what led me to decide that I will not return to John's nails. The lady was in such a rush to finish that she was physically hurting me, and not just cutting my cuticles, she was filing my nails in a way which was pulling my fingernail back. I specifically asked her to round the edges of my nails off so they didn't look so sharp, and she ignored me. I am disappointed to say that I will have to find a new nail salon. Read Less

So I walk in today as a new customer and wait 20 minutes mind you there was obviously a shortage of workers. So I inquire about the price of a fill in" was quoted $25. I waited and was seated with Ted. I needed to be at a lunch time engagement at 11 and so I advised Ted and everyone working in there that I am paying in full and returning after lunch. I come back and wait again. Ted finishes the paint and I am required to pay $10 more dollars. WTF ! The bald headed guy quoted me $25. This salon was friendly and very clean. But I'm giving the low rating because I had a manicure with gel and a pedicure and I was in and out the door in under 45 minutes. I was getting rushed through for a "regular" customer that that had requested the lady who was already helping me. The polish on my toes was sloppy and there was a lot of polish left on my skin around my nails. Also within two days my gel polish on my thumb is already lifting off. I thought John Nails was great until I saw a dark spot on my nail. The tech who did my polish change just painted over it. Then when I went to get a fill in I told the guy about it and when I was distracted by my phone he just skipped over it like I had said nothing. When I brought it to his attention and said I didn't wanna just leave that he sighed and said yeah okay and removed the acrylic. The then filed it down and although I voiced concern he assured me that although it was terribly stained and clearly damaged it was all gone and the stain would just have to grow out. He didn't sterilize any of the equipment he used on it, and added another layer of acrylic over it. Then told me the nail color I had chosen didn't suit my nails...because it wouldn't cover the spot. (I specifically asked why and said that) The woman who was my primary tech had put acrylic on the side of my lifting nail at my last fill in. I came in here today thinking I would try them out. I will never come in here again. The girl that did my manicure was rude and played on her phone the whole time. When she went down change my nail polish on my toes she had to have her phone by here to check her text messages. She paused several times just to look at her phone. Whoever she was texting most have been more important. Also when I didn't understand her she would roll her eyes or say rude remarks when I finally could here her. Horrible service. There is one tech in particular that is rude and just flat out mean. The manager there does not manage whatsoever. I used to go here all the time but their nail techs have bad attitudes and will hurt your fingers and not even care that they're hurting you. If 2.5 was an option that's where they would be. I definitely agree with the consensus that they rush through. There's no frills, meaning no hand/leg massage. Not even lotion. My hands and toes look great but feel like paper. They did get 5 of us in with no wait and for $30 it's not unreasonable (standard polish) but this is the only place I know that doesn't give you even a little pampering. Good if you need a quick fix. I went there last week before my college graduation. I use to go to johns all the time.. But the quality just wasn't there. I got a full set. Three of my nails have already fallen off (just fallen off.. I did not do anything to them) and the paint is chipping really bad. It hasn't even been a week... The nails should not have did this. Used to go here all the time when I lived in Columbus. Was there visiting family last week. Needed a gel manicure/polish change. Horrible service. Capable of only doing basic solid color gel manicure, didn't have half the colors that were offered in the sample, rushed, and a week later my polish on all of my nails have chipped. Been looking for a good place to get mani/pedi, this was the most pricey. Customer service was good and place was clean but my nails chipped the evening I got them done! Normally my nails will last a couple days not less than 12hrs! My pedi chipped the next day! Was not worth the money! Had a manicure & pedicure done on Sunday. Felt like I was in a drive thru because the girl rushed so much. By the next day, my nails already started chipping & had to be touched up by me. They were pretty quick to get to me and did a great job. I do not normally have my nails done but I had torn my nail high up on the nail bed and they were able to glue it, add some acrylic for strength and then gel polish. This is my new nail place.  Friendly staff,  great pedicure,  fair price.  I was actually shocked at the attention paid to my nails, I'm not used to such great service on a basic pedicure.  Definitely recommended! Read Less
