I was unhappy with the initial hair color I ended up with. The lady who did my hair noticed it and called me after I left to see if I would come back (for free) and give me a color I would like better. I did, and I'm glad I did. I have to say, this place is absolutely amazing. I won't name names but I had went to another salon in town and they completely messed up my hair. I was worried about dyeing it so close together but there's no way I could walk around another day looking like Abraham Lincoln on a penny with my copper hair. They did such an amazing job. The stylist helped me figure out a color that would look good and that would not do damage to my hair. As long as this place is open I will be coming here for all my hair needs. I've never gotten my hair professionally dyed and pretty much only went to Great Clips for the occasional cut, but I decided to dive in at Chromatics Salon. Luis was AMAZING - he seemed really seriously excited to do my balayage and cut, and he made sure everything was right. We both forgot to do a before/after shot - whoops! - but I have received non-stop compliments on both the color and cut since then. It's not the cheapest salon, but you get such awesome service and attention that it's totally worth it. I called chromatics after reading all the awesome reviews and they asked me... to come in for a consultation to make sure my hair can handle n e more processing, which I loved, they cared about the condition of my hair. Emily looked at my hair and made her suggestions and I went back today and I could not be any happier with the results. She took the time to pay so much attention to my hair and it's so much healthier. She put low lights in and toned it for a more natural look and no more orange 😍. Fabulous salon!  Very clean and modern.  Christeil did an amazing job on my color and I love the cut.  The shampoo bowls are amazing - there is a head rest, so it feels like your head is laying flat on a table instead of hanging in a bowl that hurts your neck.  The staff was very friendly and after just moving to town from the Chicago area - I'm excited to have found a hairstylist that I can trust.  I highly reccomend Chromatics! My hair hasn't been lightened if a few years, so we weren't sure how long I needed to process or what color I would be when finished. First time here today and I am in love! My stylist, Courtney, was amazing! I brought in a picture and asked her to make it look similar and she nailed it! It looks amazing! Then I had my eyebrows done (which I always dread because it hurts lol), the way Jessica did them it was not even painful! I didn't even flinch! Beware.... I had been searching for a great salon as I'm new to the area.  So after seeing all the great reviews I thought I'd give this salon a try. Everything seemed to be going well, I asked for balayage highlights I was so excited they provided this style of highlighting. So as I was getting my hair dried I noticed my color wasn't nothing close to what I asked for. It was awful. Before I even said anything the "person" working on my hair said lets go lighter it's not what you asked for. So I agreed and she worked on my hair again. But let me say it was rushed and sloppy.. Sat under heat had my hair washed a few times to tone. I walked out with gold/bronze hair. I was embarrassed to be seen in public it was so awful. I've never had such a bad highlight. Oh my goodness I can't even begin to say how happy I am that I went here. I had a very horrendous highlight job done on me 5 days ago at a different "salon" and needed help fast! I booked my appointment with Jessica and she worked miracles with it. She was so friendly and helpful and i left feeling very happy. I wasn't orange and yellow headed anymore!  The rest of the staff were also really polite and friendly. Overall, the salon was very clean, modern and nice. Chromatics is definitely the place to go if you're looking for great quality work at reasonable prices! I was able to get an appointment right away and Luis was waiting for me when I walked in. He is very professional and listened to everything that I wanted. I haven't had this quality of work done in a long time. I have long hair and he did an amazing job of only taking off what needed to be cut, also he did a fantastic job with my layers. I'm generally skeptical reading reviews because I assume that there was some kind of incentive given to the reviewer. However, I was in Columbus visiting my husband who lives there temporarily and was desperate to get rid of my roots and blonde highlights and wants to go back to my more natural brunette color. Feeling adventurous, I decided to try Chromatics because it had some of the best reviews. I was a bit nervous to try a new place because I'm picky and have frequented some pretty nice high-end salons over the years. I was so impressed with the results. I can't speak for the quality of the work, but I was disappointed on my first visit.  I made an appointment here after reading all of the great reviews.  I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time and was checked in.  That's all that happened.  Granted, I didn't continually check in with the receptionist, nor was my waiting was acknowledged.  After 20-25 minutes, I asked the receptionist if I had the correct appointment time, and she confirmed  I did.  I indicated I was unable to stay, and she responded with "I'm sorry."  I respect that life happens and maybe the stylist was caught in a bear trap somewhere, but nothing was relayed to me.  Perhaps I could have asked to speak with a manager while I was there, but hindsight is 20/20, and I was too irritated at that moment.  I hope this becomes a learning experience for all involved. I just moved to Columbus a few months ago and was putting off finding a new hair stylist because I was so sad about leaving my previous stylist who I saw for almost 10 years. After some online research I decided to try Chromatics and made an appointment. I didnt request a specific stylist and so I was given an appointment with Tami. I could not have asked for a better stylist!! Tami was great in talking to me about my hair and my style and preferences before we started. She also made some great recommendations regarding how to best color my hair and gave me an easy styling tip. I love my hair and will definitely go back!! She took her time and made sure I was comfortable and liked my hairstyle. She also didnt try to oversell me a bunch of product which I really appreciated. I just moved in town a few months ago and found this salon online. I read the reviews which helped me decide to go here. I wanted to get balayage highlights and so I booked an appointment with Amy. She did such an awesome job on my hair considering I'm Asian and have natural dark hair plus had grown out highlights/color to work with. I'm very particular with my hair and so I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she met my expectations. She also gave me a nice haircut and took off exactly how much I wanted. Highly recommended! Being Asian and having difficult hair to color, cut, and style, I'm always a bit hesitant to try a new salon. However, Amy was great!  She asked a lot of questions and was very attentive. I wanted ombre hair color and showed her a photo of my desired look. She studied the photo, talked about how to capture the look on me and asked me about my color preferences. Amy did a wonderful job; she expertly placed highlights in the right places and gave my hair a lot of dimension. It was a pleasant experience and at a reasonable price.
