I am changing my review to match what I received, 2 days ago I went for an acrylic set, picked out my polish then had the lady convince me to get shellac and told me the metallic colors were going to b the same price. At the time of paying my total bill went up an extra 10$ saying it's a "special " and then the lady up at the front desk proceeded to make me go into this page and write a 5 star review. I dont know what happened to aloha nails but my shellac is ALREADY chipping and one of my nails looks like it needs a fill ALREADY. Pics still b in comments. Read Less

My daughter (9) and I come here for Mani/Pedis on Sat Mar. 17th. Everyone working here is very friendly, professional and personable. And a few very funny ones!!!!They did a fantastic job on our nails and we will definitely be back! Love all the ladies at aloha! Went with a bridal party for pedis and service was wonderful, they have so many chairs for pedis it’s great for big groups! Also went back for real liquid gel nails and they are amazing! So worth it! Longest lasting manicure I’ve ever gotten and most comfortable! Vivian is one of my faves there! Read Less

I live here in Winnipeg, MB, moved here 9 months ago and I wish I had ound this place along time ago. I just had my nails done at Aloha Nails about an hour ago. They are gorgeous nails, I love them. I will be definitely be going back again. This is the first time my nails have looked so natural. The nail tech named Nina was a professional. She took her time and did a proper job, she did't rush through the job. I have always thought that Acrylic nails are better but found out today that Gel are much lighter and fresher and brighter. I have been using this nail salon off and on for about 5 years. There are no sanitation issues that I have noted. They use new, disposable liners for the pedicure tubs with each customer as well as wiping out the basin with disinfectant spray. And, as another reviewer stated, I have also personally witnessed their putting instruments into and removing them from the autoclave. All of the staff are very courteous and friendly, and remember their regular customers. They know the color of SNS powder I use for my manicure without my having to say. Once, it was on back order and they went out of their way to find me a similar color BEFORE I came back for my next visit, e.g. the day I arrived they alerted me to the shortage but immediately showed me the alternatives they had considered. You don't see customer service like that much anymore. To be concerned about the customer's satisfaction when they aren't even there! They always thank me if I have to wait. A few times I have chipped an SNS nail within a week of my manicure and they have repaired it free of charge. They also have a repeat customer punch card that gives a discount after a certain number of visits. I enjoy that they have the TV on Food Network because it's a nice, neutral thing everyone can watch. Read Less

I went there once and was not satisfied so I decided to try them again two weeks later to give them the benefit of the doubt and I was still unsatisfied. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone solely because the owner is rude/unfriendly and so are some of the other nail technicians.Read Less

Went there for a year and only had my nails done by Lina. She is great, kind and friendly. The rest of the staff is not the same! The owner is rude. I presented my rewards card with the Creditcard and she did not notice the $10 discount and made the transaction. I asked for the discount. She got agitated because of the mistake and started talking,in her language very loud and upset, to another employee. I told her that it wasn't nice to be yelling in front of me. No sanitation--the tools they used had clearly just been used on someone else.  When I asked them to use clean tools they only switched out the nail file.  I also didn't appreciate being pushed to spend more money.  The actual nail job was ok but I'm afraid if I go back I'll catch something. Deserves 0 stars! Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice people but Unsanitized!!!!!!!! Their business card is false advertisement!!!!!!! My friend and I went in on a Saturday late afternoon @4. We didn't have to wait long, problem: they-wiped down the pedicure tub with a used towel...not w/ chlorox etc spray!!!!!! + The scrub she used to scrub my feet, barely anything left...it was soooooo thin!!!
