This place is Amazing! Read my entire review: My nail tech went to another location which was too far out to justify the drive. Ann, my tech was wonderful. Very gentle and focused. I have very sensitive feet.So needless to say I was on a mission to find another place for pedicures. Well I searched for diabetic nail salons bc I figured they would be more accommodating to my sore feet. Mind you I'm not diabetic. Any hoo, three places popped up, Tu La being 1st. I literally read every link on them plus their entire website. I'll admit, shame on me, I was a bit leery of the whole black owned business. But I made an appt., went the next day. Yes, on time, early actually. This place was a whole next level experience for me. They're located in Midtown West, Howell Mill area. Free parking in the Apex garage, walk in to salon, Jackie greets you, she's very pretty and pleasant. They have a slip w your appt. Then I was asked to log in my information, fancy. Ok people, I was going to a nail shop next to a grocery store. The space is very Girlie, remember the sitcom, Half & Half. It's really really nice. Waited maybe five minutes. Pedicure station sits up high with steps. Jackie explained their services to me while I waited. Oh, the nail selection is expansive. Lots of colors. The products used are literally all natural or at best stuff in your kitchen/bath- antibacterial soap, no more mysterious blue bleach pellets, honey, oatmeal. The salon has absolutely no acrylic smell. Very Zen like. Aromatherapy 10. I got the deluxe pedicure, they use this cool eco-friendly paraffin. It's these little cubes, when melted, it's like an aromatherapy essential oil. It smells sooo good. Maybe it was the glass of Chardonnay? Nope. The place was truly dope. I kinda feel bad bc I didn't get the lady who did my nails name. But I'm pretty sure she was one of the owners. She was very pretty too. Why am I harping on that? It was basically inside and out. They ladies both had very good vibes, beautiful spirits. Plus they talk to you, I like to talk. I know this is long but I was so impressed bc it was Us. No shade to my Asian peeps. But come on, Black women in business, doing the damn thing!! I was proud to be a part of that, spending my dollars in support of Us. Again, I feel really bad about being leery, I can't wait to go back or better yet bring bring someone. Go check them out. Happy Feet!! Read Less
