Every time I come for a nail service like acrylics or a pedicure, once I wait and actually get seated, the owner will tell me to get up because there was someone who was in line before me. I would try somewhere else if possible, the place was very busy so i think they were rushing, i came in for a gel polish change and i should have left when she pulled out the electric file and started filing away my polish as well as my nail, usually they just soak an scrape off so my nail bed isn't damaged, then even tho i said a light file she filed so hard she broke my ring finger nail, after that i just paid for the polish removal an left because my nails were insanely short and crooked after she filed them down plus my ring finger was hurting from where she bent back an then broke the nail with the file. Great nails, and great customer service. I booked Posh nails for a bachelorette party, the first impression walking in was it was clean and really beautiful. It didn't feel dingy or low budget like a lot of Winnipeg salons. The work stations and tools were clean and the the whole atmosphere was very positive. I would give it 5 stars except one of the ladies doing our nails about 10 minutes in took off her sweater and was pretty much wearing a cut out bra under an open button up shirt. It was rather unprofessional and uncomfortable for my whole group to have her chest exposed in a perfessional environment. The lady was super nice and professional in all other aspects. And personally this is my new favorite salon and I will still be going here. But if situations like that make you uncomfortable you might want to think twice before booking. Read Less

I went to posh nails on Osborne last night for a manicure. I had a free manicure coupon from one of those booklets you buy as a fundraiser. I had an appt for 6pm. They ask if I have the coupon and I said yes and they said sorry we only do those at 1pm. It doesn’t say that AT ALL on the coupon and they’re like well you’re only getting a manicure today if you pay for it. This is some baaaaddd business. My mother has been going for years, today she got her nails done and they filed down to her nail bed, they are thin and too long. she complained and the owner who did her nails said there is nothing wrong with them. Went here for the first time last week. I got SNS acrylic and they looked really nice. But by the next day 3 nails had broke clear in half. Mind you I was not doing anything for them to break. I woke up to them broke off. I've had my nails done many times and I've never had a nail break. Read Less

I'm over this salon. Services have become rushed, my shellac chips within a day, prices are too high in general, and things aren't as clean as they should be. There are a few great ladies working here, but unfortunately they have so many staff in and out constantly that you're more likely to end up with someone who is rushing, inattentive, nips your cuticles so aggressively they start to bleed, etc. I don't get why this place is still so popular. Writing for a friend : she came In to get her brows done (quick 10$ job) today, the woman threading her brows accidentally cut off chunks of her lash extensions. The owner offered to redo them, which my friend was quick to agree to. But the woman who she normally visits had an opening to fix them, so she called to see if there was any other form of compensation for this mistake (pedicure, gift card, etc) the owner was rude kept saying she can come in to get them fixed, where ...she told him, she likes the lashes her regular tech gives her - and just made an appointment with her. He was rude and refused to help in any way. So thanks for the horrible customer service as usual Posh! I came here for SNS nails. My nails came out a completely darker color than the sample! Three nail techs compared them and agreed--the color was very different. Apparently the company they order from will sometimes change a color without sending an updated sample. The color I chose was an almost white, powder blue. My nails are Tiffany blue! Instead of offering to re-do my nails in another color, they offered to paint over it with gel polish. They charged me full price! And would not offer to correct it. Went in today 4/20. The young woman who did my nails, Wendy I think was her name, was so incredibly harsh on them. She used the buffer thing so hard that she split my skin around my nails open and I yelled involuntarily in pain and was bleeding. I have more hangnails now than I did coming in. I decided to try your Pembina location today, with a free coupon I had for a manicure. Well I can say I will not be returning. As a new customer (coupon or not) first impressions are important - I could have potentially become a repeat customer. The lady I had made no conversation during my manicure except maybe 5 words, spoke the entire visit to her coworker in another language. In my opinion this is not inviting to your customers. After having a cold fan attempt to dry my ...nails the lady doing the manicure came to check on my nails decided to squish the nail polish to see if it was dry - well she ended up ruining two nails. Her first attempt to fix them was add more top coat???? Anyone that has done their nails knows when ur squish your nail polish when's it's wet and looks like Saran top coat will not fix it. Her second attempt she did redo both nails completely and she left me sitting to dry and never came back to re check so I kindly got up to leave and she was to busy on her cell phone with other employees to say goodbye, thank you anything. Now less than 12 hours of having it done two nails have bubbled ( applying coats to closely together), two have the squished look and one is chipped - and I have not done anything since to chip or squish them (no housework, etc). Great service. Gave me a bottle of water as soon as I sat down. No wait, granted I was here on a Thursday at lunch. Lots of students and manicurists available. It was clean, fast and thorough. James and Kim (owners) are fantastic and super sweet people. They are very accommodating, and I don't know many owners who work just as hard as their staff, if not harder. They are always friendly and I've noticed that they greet all of their regulars by first name. That's pretty impressive. They recently remodeled the interior and got new pedicure chairs. I was incredibly disappointed in this salon. Went and initially saw John. He used tools pulled out of a drawer and not a sanitizer, had no attention to detail, destroyed my cuticles, and gave me the worst gel manicure I've had in years. I called the next day to make an appointment to have the gels removed (explaining on the phone why) and they assigned me to Lynn. She was quiet and gentle and I was pleased with her service. So, I've been a long time customer of TA nails, even before they moved to this location and use to work at LA nails. I'm going to keep it short (not really), although I really have a lot to say. First off, this salon use to care about their customers and their services were great, but over the years of them thinking that no other nail salon in the Athens's area was equal to their services, they have allowed their customer service to fall drastically. Not all technicians can do satisfactory work and they tell you to come when you call, but end up waiting 30 minutes before you receive any services. My last straw was I called to see if they (Kim or James owners) were available to do a full set. James told me yes and that I could come; keep in mind I spoke to him at 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:40 and James was not there, his wife Kim tells me to pick out a color and he'll be back shortly. James returns to the store at 4:10 and then tells me he can't do my nails because he has to leave by 4:45 to go pick his children up from school. He then says I told you to come at 3:30 which clearly was a lie, but even if that was the case, I waited for over 30 mins to be told you can't do them. Then he suggests one of his other employees and by this time I've had it and will never return to this store because he has made it clear that he doesn't value my time. It's unprofessional to have your customers wait for ample amount of time and to be combative when the problem is within the business itself.  One thing that will keep customers from returning to a business is bad customer service. Regardless of how long you've been going to a place when you feel like you're not wanted there, you take your money and business else where. By me not returning to this location won't hurt this stores business, but this review will allow others to know what to expect when you go here. I took my chances and went to a new Salon (Bellagio Nail Bar in Oconee shopping center). This is a nice place and they had me in and out in no time with a new full set that was FLAWLESS. Probably the best pedicure I've had in a long time. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive as well as know how to do their work well. I always go to this salon. So far of any I have been to in athens, this Is definitely the best. They are nice and they do a great job on the pedicures. I usually get the middle one (deluxe?) With the hot towel wrap and the circulation massage and callus removal. It is always amazing. They take their time and usually that pedicure takes about an hour. It is very relaxing. I think that yelp review did not do this place justice. I had a horrible experience, my lady Lisa did a horrible job for my nails! I had to go home and REDO them, like seriously? What kind of nail place leaves you want to redo your nails that you just done? I guess she didn't clean my nails right because there was bubbles/dots on my nail and she also nicked my skin! Have she really been doing this? She should've gotten a one star since she wasn't friendly either! I didn't notice until I got home because I was really tired but that was a terrible experience, I could do a better job painting my nails then her!However, the lady who did my feet was pretty good, I don't remember her name but it was really nice and relaxing. Love this salon! In my opinion, it's one of the best in Athens. They are almost always packed, but they have tons of people (mostly men!) working there and you rarely have to wait too long. I always get gel nails and they last forever! And I think I pay between $20-25 depending on if I get a manicure or just the color. Read Less

Asked if the could kindly remove the shellack polish for me. didn't want anything else and they were pretty pushy about it. I understand y'all are trying to make money but I'm happy to pay to just get this crap off my nails!  they did a piss poor job, still have bits of gel on my nails and acted rudely when I pointed this aout. they proceeded to tell me no its ok.... right. lazy. so I will never go back. If you aren't willing to do a good job on a small task, why would I reward you with my business when I am getting another 30 dollar gel nail manicure and pedi for 18.,. let me think: NO! This place is really beautiful when you first walk in... I didn't have an appointment and didn't have to wait to be seen.  The massage chairs are really nice (nicer than others at other nail salons I've been to).  My pedicure (the reason for my visit) turned out beautifully--I just got the regular pedicure and it comes with an amazing foot & leg massage and scrub!  I would recommend this nail salon!
