I've been going to City Nails since they opened because of the convenience. The salon is always clean and they always seat me as soon as I walk in (if a chair is available) and offer me a beverage. Everyone is very nice and they have a TON of staff so even if I can't get seated immediately I rarely have to wait long. I've had manicures, pedicures, and SNS done here. The quality of the services are hit-or-miss... most technicians are really good but others can be a little rough. I've left with a bleeding nail once or twice, and sometimes have to go back to get a nail painted where they missed the sides. Been here a few times and a few were great experiences and a few were bad. Seems like u get one or the other here. A little pricey UT clean facility. Sometimes I'm offered a drink and sometimes the customer service is not great seems like they just want to rush through it. She barely speaks any English but is warm, kind, gentle, and meticulous. Great pedicure always. Love her. Vicky is fantastic as well. Her English is perfect and she works hard to make sure to give the client exactly what they want. She's friendly and engaging. I had a horrible experience at this nail salon. I've been getting my nails done in Athens for 4 years and have never encountered a more rude and painful appointment. I got a Honey Pedicure with Gel and SN manicure. My pedicure Was fantastic and the woman (older) was so nice. At the same time, I had a younger woman doing my finger nails. After trying to show her a picture of the nail shape I wanted, she proceeded to choose not to look at the picture and comment "I know what a nail looks like." It was extremely rude when I was just trying to obtain a special shape. Furthermore, I have cuts all around my cuticles from the tools she was using. Whenever I would jump because it would cut my skin and cause bleeding, she told me "stop moving and this won't happen." I explained I jump because it hurts. If she would've just done the nail, I would not have cuts all over my cuticles. It now hurts to wash my hands with warm or hot water due to the open wounds. I mentioned multiple times it hurt, and she just looked at me when I would jump and say stop. I was really disappointed in this experience. I felt as if she was belittling me and not being careful or gentle in any manner. After she was done, the nails had multiple white spots on the nails which they claimed "happens with some SNS colors." I've gotten SNS for three years now and it's never happened. If some of their colors do that, they should warn before hand. Once I explained the white spots needed to be fixed I continued to get cuts on my cuticles and was bleeding. She was extremely rough with my hands. She shaved them down and put gel coat over to mask the whiteSpots. Afterward, I left the salon with half SNS and gel nails, cut up cuticles, and paint all over my fingers. I left to shop and came back as I felt I paid for a much better service. When I asked for a refund and showed them my nails they continued to tell me no, and that it looked fine. The man in the salon fixed the glue underneath my nails that were causing my skin to stick, and also attempted to get the gel nail polish off my fingers. Regardless, it was the worst experience at a nail salon I've ever had. Without considering the job, they sent me home in worst condition then I came in with. No refunds, no redos. Worst nail salon ever. Went in with my daughter today and was so disappointed. Horrible customer service. Felt like we were being rushed. Was asked to pay for services before they were complete.While the other customer paid upon completion. Tipped in cash but Ihave a feeling that they will try to take more out of my account. Pedicure was great. Got gel nails for the first time ever- they looked terrible. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my friend had them done at the same time and hers looked awesome. I politely asked if there was a way to correct the situation and/or have another tech fix them- blamed it on the paint being old. The manager insisted the same tech try to fix them..so I chose a different color, and 10 minutes of soaking in acetone later she tried again and it was just as bad. Again, I respectfully addressed the situation and my dissatisfaction with the final product. Finally the manager said she would redo them herself, which I was thankful for. She did wonderfully, but by the end of my 3rd paint job my cuticles were raw from acetone, I had been sitting there for 2.5 hours, I was irritated, and I was still charged for the service. Read Less

I got a manicure and it was the absolute WORST I ever had!! I was pissed she was done in less than 10mins. She didn't massage my hand and forgot to paint my nails. Prices are higher, nice place but very poor service. Read Less

I normally go and see one particular lady and have had a great experience but then I saw someone else and she seemed like she could care less to help me. I had picked out my color and then at the last minute she said they didn't have and didn't try to help me find anything to match. Had to find a color in a hurry and left very unsatisfied. Her customer service is the worst I have had from anyone doing nails and I've had mine done for 23 years. Now I'll have to go pay have to them fixed. Read Less

I've been going to nail salons for over 25 years. By far this is the worst. It is a very nice looking place. Overpriced. And the customer service was horrific. I received a manicure and pedicure, or more like I paid for the service but did not receive either one. They didn't clean under my nails. Hands or feet. What kind of service is that. Definitely not what I paid for. $42 isn't a lot of money, but when you feel like you need to go somewhere immediately afterwards. It's $42 too much. My recommendation is to find a different place. I had the new powder nail and an eyebrow wax done. My fingers were sore for a week from them filing my skin, and my nails are not at all what I asked for. It cost me over 60 bucks for nails and an eyebrow wax, which I feel is ridiculous! I will not go back.9 Read Less

I had my eyebrows and upper lip waxed to only receive 2nd degree burns, neither did they seemed concerned they still have the nerve to charge me as I stood there turning redder and redder and blistering never never again will I go there or recommend them toanyone Read Less

1st time here. Acrylic fill. Did a good job. Wanted a chevron french using my own polishes.  Charged me $10.00 more... came out lousy... did not care for the outcome. Had to go home and take off & redo the color completely. .. disappointed, but nice atmosphere & very friendly. I will be coming back again... just no more french manicures for Me! ! Read Less

I ALWAYS have the ultimate, super-amazing experience here!  The atmosphere is amazing, the ambiance is modern chic, and the customer service is always...CONSISTENTLY a 10+!  I have never waited more than five minutes to get my nails done...even on busy game Saturdays!  Amy always greets me at the front desk...and my sweet Velvet is always eager to assist every time I go in.  I have brought my 8 year old daughter in a number of times as she LOVES the kids chairs and I love the attention to detail the staff gives to even her tiny little nails.  My husband has enjoyed a pedicure here and so has my mom!  I tell everyone I  know about this place!  YOU WILL LOVE IT!  I sure do!!
