Tried this place out after struggling to find and KEEP a nail salon with decent service. I went to Million nails in River city for the past year and they have went so far downhill it’s ridicilous. They have children pedi chairs which are awesome for mamas. The children chairs are what attracted me to this place when I wanted to treat my daughter. The next time I went I got a pedi for myself and a fill in. I’m 33 weeks pregnant so every little thing matters as far as being comfortable. I’m also very particular with how I want my nails and how I want my pedicure done. The guy who did my pedi was absolutely awesome!!! I wish I could remember his name for this review because I will not go to anyone else but him from now on. The woman who did my fill in was awesome as well. I have being doing nails for at least 20 years and I never see any place operated as poorly as this one. I was passing through the area and stopped by for a quick mani. Place looked nice , but a bit disorganized. Front desk gave me a paper and told me it will take 10 min. 40 min later with no apology rude man told us he can’t control it, he didn’t give us an alternate time. I told them that I wish front desk woild have told me this earlier I would have not waited. He also let other people to be treated ahead of us even thoug they came after us. Being new to the area, I've been looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed. First time was done perfect by a girl who I can't remember her name. Today was my 2nd time in, and a different girl( can't remember her name either) did an OK job. Not the worst I've ever had and not the best. It was made up for it when I was placed with Shevelle who did my mani & pedi. I don't normally get my nails done( I do them myself), but I like to treat myself every once in a while. I'm pretty particular about my nails so trust me when I say Shevelle was probably one of the best nail techs I've ever had. She was very pleasant and made lots of conversation with me so it wasn't one of those awkward no talking sessions. On top of that she was very gentle and cleaned my cuticles very well. I have pretty bad cuticles so it pains me when a nail tech can not properly clean my nails up. She also took extreme care in painting my ENTIRE nail. I can't even count how many times I've had people not paint to the edge which is pretty annoying, and part of the reason I don't get regular mani-pedis. I'll likely return to have my eyebrows done by the first girl who did them and definitely have Shevelle do my nails again. I read previous reviews about rude employees, but I have not had that experience.I also noticed a lot of women getting gel on their toes. I guess that's a big thing here in Florida? Anyway, I just like regular ol' nail polish on my toes and fingers. I've been to nail salons where they try and push the gel manicures on you for the up sell and pretty much make you feel bad for just wanting nail polish. I was only asked once if I wanted gel and that was that. When I want gel, I want gel, and that's MAYBE once a year for special occasions. Get some fans nail products to strong and people are jammed in there.  Stop speaking in your native tongue it's disrespectful.  This is American so speak English around clients it's unprofessional and talk that shit in the back nobody wants to hear it and get some fans and blow that stinky smell out of there.  Got people piled on each other get a bigger space. Excellent service! I called 15 minutes before I showed up and was seated right away when I walked in. I showed a couple of pictures of different designs I was interested in and my nail tech helped me pick the one that would look best with my nail shape and found the colors for me. Don't waste your time or money, the girl who done my nails was rough and the services don't match the prices, they are way overpriced, the worst place I've been to for my pedicure, I had to ask for a razor and they didn't have dividers for your toes, as much as they charge they should at least have that, she used tissue to separate my toes, what an insult, this place is looking to get money, they don't care about how customers feel, I'll be going to Jax Nail Spa off of university where they don't nickel and dime you and the service is phenomenal, I will never return here again. I am new in Florida and decided to try this nail shop...they were busy so I figured they were reputable...NOT! I asked for gel, the gal pointed me to nail polishes on the wall (like OPI) .. I knew from getting my nails done with gel that those were NOT gel polishes. I proceeded with a color I liked and was charged for a gel fill and the next day my nails were chipped! Anyone who gets gel nails knows they do NOT chip...this nail shop is ripping people off and they don't even realize it! They need to be reported to the State Board as far as I'm concerned!! Not even remotely impressed. The guy didn't trim my cuticles because they don't do that with a fill in. When I told him I didn't like the shape and could he make less pointy he told me that they weren't pointy. I asked before I got my nails done if they had the polish to match my toes in regular polish and they said yes. Great customer service and nails. Clean, friendly and quick. Someone else did my pedicure (can't remember her name)... but Angel did my gel nails and she was great! I ended up having to go back two days later because my thumb nails both chipped (I have VERY thin nails and my gel always chips) and Angel was wonderful... she happily fixed my nails. A great place to get your nails done! Granted I only see Sayuri, but she not only does a great job with great attention to detail, but she's the sweetest person in the world. Over the course of three months she's given me great recommendations and we've pretty much removed almost all the cracks in my feet and I've grown my nails longer than I ever had before. Never been here before , so my friend and I came in and the people were really nice. I wasn't sure what I wanted and they did everything they could to help me decide, while getting a Pedi I finally found a design I wanted, they never did a crush turtle but they said they would try, well it took two times but it still didn't come out right. They were patient with me, however while the guy was doing my toes he clipped me a few times, it hurt really bad and now my big toe is really sore.  That is the only reason why I gave them 3 stars. The first and last time I come here. I brought my step mother to treat her to a pedicure so we came here around 1:30-1:45 on a Thursday afternoon. There wasn't a lot of people in the place but it was pretty steady.The place is clean and nice and organized, each polish had a number and a spot on the wall. Tons of different color selections as well as gel & shellac. We were seated right away. Our water was like warm to say the least. The lady got started on my toe nails while my step mother waited about 15 mins before someone finally came to start her pedicure. My feet are super ticklish so usually when they scrub my feet I squirm and squeal. This lady barely even grazed the scrub pad across my feet. Then she hurriedly "scrubbed" my legs with a salt scrub. She didn't get all the goodies out from under my toenails. My toes look like a 6 year old painted them.She was friendly and smiled a lot I'm guessing because she didn't speak English. Like none at all. The place was clean and had tons of polish choices. However they didn't really scrub my feet, clean my toe nails and the paint job looked bad. $75 I'll never get back. I came in on a Friday morning! Not too busy, but lots of technicians so there was no wait! I got a gel mani ($26) and deluxe pedi ($25). Very nice technicians, they offered us something to drink which was nice compared to many salons I've been too. Clean and organize nail salon. Would definitely go back! I've become a regular! The facility is well maintained and the owner John does an amazing job with my pink and white fills. They are easy to work with scheduling wise and I often get compliments on my hands. The fills last several weeks without the edges pulling up and never yellow... I highly recommend John and his shop!
