After seeing photos and reviews on Yelp, I decided that I'd give the Beautique Nail Salon & Day Spa a try. I just moved to the Orlando area, and wated to get a simple pedicure and gel manicure. I didn't realize I was going to pay $65 for a pedicure (NO manicure; I'll explain below) that left me with a bloody wound that wasn't cleaned, bumpy polish, awful cuticles and scrub/lotion still caked onto my legs.I called Saturday afternoon (08/27/16) around 4pm, and made an appointment over the phone for 4:45. When I got there, there weren't any seats available for me to wait, and was told to pick my color. I ended up waiting until about 5:05 for a nail tech and to be seated at a pedicure chair. I was given a menu with pedicure options, and I chose the "brightening and anti-aging pedicure"; they spelled aging "age-ing". The nail tech asked another tech what was in the $65 pedicure, and someone else went to get the lotion/scrub/collagen booties for her. While the other tech was getting the creams, the nail tech working on my feet started to excessively push my cuticles and then clip excess skin while clipping my cuticles. In fact, she clipped so much excess skin on my right big toe that I began to bleed... a lot. She tried covering up what she had done by immediately putting my foot back in the tub of water before I could look. I leaned over to see what the damage was, and my entire nailbed was bloody. Instead of cleaning the wound that she created, she placed my foot back into unclean water and kept clipping cuticles on my other foot. I was furious. The other tech came back about five minutes later with the tray of lotions for my specialized pedicure, and had to instruct the woman in vietnamese what each step was and how to do it. It was quickly apparent that she had messed up the order of lotions and creams because she placed a lotion on my legs first, placed two very hot towels on my legs, then added a scrub on top of the very thick lotion that made my legs incredibly chalky and stiff, and then had to scrub incredibly hard to get it off. The owner (or what looked to be the owner) of the place came by and got onto her about her mixup, and then the owner proceeded to place cold "collagen" booties on my feet and rub them furiously. I had no idea what was going on. The tech painted on my polish sloppily and had to use a polish brush to fix her big mistakes, and I found bumps in my polish as I got out of the chair. I didn't even want to bother with fixing it; I couldn't have lept out of my chair fast enough. I made an excuse to get out of the gel manicure that I had scheduled (although they ended up forgetting that I wanted a manicure anyway), paid and left. As I walked outside, I noticed that my cuticles were uneven and I still had excess skin from a previous blister on my toe that should've been trimmed. This was an awful experience. Sure, the place looks nice and clean, but the Beautique is far from professional. Yes, there is nice calming music played and HGTV is on one of the TVs, but watching two nail techs ogle over a dead fish in the fish tank in the pedicure room isn't relaxing. Please take your precious piggies elsewhere if you don't want to get an open wound and be at risk for infection, I'm begging you. Read Less
