Honestly my friend recommended this place to me especially for my eyebrows because they're thick and I went around town and nobody could do them how I wanted them either they left them too thin or too square shape. I've been going to this place ever since and it's been the best thing ever until last I went in. I had been trying to make a appointment thru phone and it took them 2 days to answer. I got my phone calls ended twice. otherwise , I still made the appointment regardless of what they did and by my fault I was 10 minutes late. I will not deny I have fault in that but when I got there asap I told the eyebrow lady with all sincere honesty that I was sorry for being late and she just gave me a dirty look and didn't do such a good job as always. this place is ok but not good anymore. prices are too much. I found this place by accident. I actually thought I had an appointment at the waxing corner(which I was dreading) and I ended up making the appointment at the waxing room instead. And wow was that the BEST mistake I had ever made. How I see it, it was fate :) Ida is amazing . She has great skills with waxing me from my brows to my Brazilian(which she makes almost painless). I would recommend her to anyone I know and even strangers. I love how clean and thorough she is. She never double dips the stick. I never breakout with her wax compared to other places I have . And even though it's not easy to get in with her sometimes it's worth the wait. Call ahead to get yr grooming lined up:  waxing of any kind, eyebrow shaping and tinting, facials, nails, eyelash extensions and more. I go every 3 weeks for treatments of various kinds and feel attended to and cared for each visit. I love Ida ( the owner)  and her team! Angie is the girl I've been seeing and although she does decent work, the fact she doesn't make an attempt to learn you, especially your name irritates me and will cause me not to go back. If I am having you wax my hoo-ha, I expect after the third time you know my name and SOMEthing about me. Nothing more embarrassing. i will admit, I'm not the best client as I ask for more during my appointment, for instance, the first two times, I asked if she could wax my brow and lip while I was there. She was accommodating to that and brought me into her little chair for that. Today, for my bikini wax, she had me disrobe and she did my eye and brow wax with me in basically no covering or clothing (except a disposable underwear). Not only were the ladies here super friendly and sweet, they also were gentle and comforting with a first timer getting waxing done! I loved the results and will be continuing to book appointments. What really blew me away was getting a handwritten note of thanks from them a few weeks later! That was so sweet and never done anymore! I really don't like the experience. I went to wax my bikini and she use the same thing to take out the wax from the pot every time. At home i noticed that I still have hair and places with out skin. My new favorite waxing place! I haven't had a good eyebrow wax in about 3 months...the last place I went royally messed them up so I've been waiting for them to grow out... AKA they looked like a hairy water buffalo (sexy right?)Someone mentioned that I try The Waxing Room and since I was in the area I decided to give it a try and I'm SO glad I did! From the moment I walked through the door I noticed that this isn't your regular "salon" it smelled wonderful and very personal. The owner Ida immediately welcomed me in, I didn't have an appointment & only had to wait about 3 minutes. Contrary to what another reviewer said, I was seated in a stool that had plenty of natural light (perfect for seeing every little hair). The biggest thing that stood out to me was that Ida asked exactly how I liked my brows, she used a template to outline the perfect shape and the wax was quick and painless! Another great feature was afterwards she filled my eyebrows in and added highlighter to my eye lids so my makeup almost looked like it hadn't been touched! Ladies...how many times have you left a waxing place and your eyebrows are RED and have shiny aloe smothered all over the place?! Don't Bother! I just left the Waxing Room and didn't get the services I purchased, I purchased a gel manicure and pedicure and only received a polish change. Yes. She wiped off old polish and painted on the gel polish. No, I didn't get to my hands noe feet in any water. Can you believe that. So I will be honest.. I was actually looking for another place and ended up here...The place is actually fairly large from the inside... very calm and serene feeling which is great!I walked in and Ida walked in right after me.. and greeted me in a very friendly manner...I told her I didn't have an appointment and I just needed a quick wax... she said sure no problem.  We talked the whole time since she grew up in NY and I am seriously missing nyc right now... The whole process just took a few minutes and I was done...I am giving 4 stars and not 5 because when I got home I noticed that there was still hair left..in all fairness she did ask me to take a look in the mirror, and I did and I didn't notice any hair, but I think that was due to the low lighting in the room...in my own bathroom I have fluorescent lighting so I could see a whole lot more... A decent amount to where I had to pluck the rest of it out myself.. Ida is incredibly friendly and seems to know what she is doing, I just wish she was a little bit more meticulous with the hair removal... otherwise definitely a great spot! Read Less
