I received an email about a special. I needed a manicure so I decided to try this salon.  The technician was really nice and the facility was very clean and nicely decorated.  I was the only customer there in a Sunday afternoon .  I found that a little odd.  The nail places in the surrounding area were all very busy.  I had a gel manicure that was not excellent.  I feel maybe the technician needed a little more training.  The bottle of the polish I selected was almost empty and she seemed to be struggling with enough product.  The end result may be because the polish was old?  But even my cuticles and the polishing were not great.  She did not go to the end of my cuticles with polish so it already looks grown out and 2 weeks old when in fact the pictures were take right after.  I did fill out a comment card but have not heard back from anyone.  Gel manicures are expensive there...even with the discount.  I don't mind paying a fair price or even a little more for a great experience. Danielle was a dream! My mother, mother in law, and myself went to have our hair done for my brothers wedding and she was EXCELLENT. She did exactly what we asked for and she was so pleasant to speak to and get to know... it felt like I was talking to friend I've known for years. My mother and mother in law both got updos that ending up lasting ALL NIGHT long through the dancing and running around. I got a blowout with loose waves and my hair still looks amazing 2 days later... we all couldn't have been happier. The two ladies also got their makeup done (I forgot the sweet artist's name, I'm sorry) but she was beautiful and did an excellent job. I wish I lived in the area so I could get my hair done by Danielle on the regular... it's hard to find people who I actually enjoy talking to while at the salon, lol. I enjoyed a great experience at the Marilyn Monroe Salon. Staff was friendly, the salon was clean and spacious, and my hair stylist Danielle gave me a quick hair cut. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Great customer service but it took the nail tech 2 hours to do a gel mani. I'm not one to enjoy a 2 hour mani, but if you don't mind it check this place out. They offer coupons to returning customers be sure to ask about discounts before your appointment. Read Less

Tried this place on a whim- can't tell you how much I enjoyed it!  I had booked two manicures (for me and my roommate) and recieved a call about 2 hours prior to my appointment that one of the nail ladies would be unable to make it.  I was offered 20% off as a discount for staggering mine and my roommate's appointments one right after the other.  I'm so glad we did because it meant more time with Dianna, who was wonderful!  My nails turned out beautifully.  Also Stephanie at the front desk was awesome as well, answering all our questions about other services they offered.  We will definitely be back! I've been going to this salon since it opened. At first, they struggled with scheduling, but now everything about the place is very professional. My daughter and I have been to at least five of the stylists, although now I go to Jana regularly, but they have all been of a consistently high quality. It's a great location. Occasionally, the pricing can seem strong for Orlando, but it's worth it. One pet peeve I have is when stylists schedule two people at once and go back and forth. This is not a practice, from what I've experienced, at this salon. When your color is ready to be washed out, you go. You don't sit around waiting for the stylist to finish with someone else. I love this hair salon, I came to Windermere/dr Philip's a year ago from California and had a difficult time finding the right stylist. About 6 months of bad haircuts I went to Marilyn Monroe at The Grove. I immediately like the front desk staff and the stylist. By the second time I came in I knew I found the right place for my family. My elderly mother comes in once a week and my daughter and I go for our styling needs. I've had a hard time finding someone to cut my hair in Florida with any consistency. I have long, thick, coarse and curly hair, that if not cut right, it starts to look like Rosanna Rosanna Danna. This place gets it right every time, regardless of who is cutting it. I simply describe my hair and they know which of their available stylists is skilled at cutting my kind of hair. I always get a blow out too just for a little treat. I've also begun bringing my kids here and my 8 yr old girl gets a wash, cut and manicure and they make her feel glamorous and special. Even the 10 yr old boy prefers this place to the barber shop because of the little extras like having his hair washed and head massaged. Keep it up ladies and gentlemen...you're doing it right. This was first time at the Glamour Room in Windermere and I was SO fortunate to have Clara who is a perfectionist when it comes to pedicures!  I had been to Marilyn Monroe Nail Boutique @ Mills 50 and really like the clean, fresh and professional atmosphere they consistently display.  The entire staff was friendly and courteous. This MM is a full service Glamour Room so their services include massage, hairstyling, nail and waxing services, facials and professional make up artistry.My pedicure was amazing!  I also had the paraffin wrap which was heavenly. 4.5 StarsAfter attending the awesome CMYE event here, I knew I had to check out Marilyn Monroe Spas to check out more of their services. My experience was awesome! First off, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.  When you first walk in, they offer you a complimentary drink while you wait. The interior is very relaxing and modern, with accents tastefully paying homage to Ms. Monroe. There are walls full of products to look at and everyoneis more than happy to talk about them if you have questions. I personally bought some the beauty supplies there, too, since they were priced fairly well.I booked a 50 minute massage appointment with Debbie and I will definitely come back again. After fetching me from the front area, she made sure to explain the whole process to me and asked me if I had any areas she should focus on (I said my hands and feet). Following the typical massage routine, I undressed and rang the little silver bell she provided, and we began! The massage was AH-MAZING. Definitely what I needed after taking some awful exams. That citrus oil she uses to relax you at the beginning was very refreshing and relaxing . The bed was heated, cozy, and soft; I almost passed out, but I didn't want to miss a bit of the massage. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and her hands are like magic. I thought 50 minutes would be enough, but I was wrong. I left a new person. A tip though, don't wear flip flops or any shoes that may slip off too easily, because my feet were still a little too oiled. Overall, I will definitely visit Debbie again. She's the best! Read Less
