I had a lovely visit to​ Applewoods Aveda Salon. I saw Andrea for my color and I was pretty nervous because I was going from blonde highlights over ash brown to all ash brown my natural hair color. Andrea always takes the best care of me and she's very personable. I love my new color and I'm very excited to wear it for the holidays and new year. I went to this salon for a hair color change. My hair is dark brown naturally. It takes color very quickly. Anita was my stylist, and while she was very personable, I left with a completely different hair color than I asked for (I had given a description and  shown a picture). That was fine, but my hair length was WAY lighter than my roots so I had a major line of demarcation. Which was orangey at the roots and brassy blonde for the length. (I had requested dark caramel blonde AND shown a picture). I was there for SIX hours. Complete disaster :( The manager had me come in the next day to try to tone it but my scalp burned so she couldn't leave color on that long. When I left my roots were still very orangey toned but my scalp couldn't take it any more. The only thing offered me was that "no change for the "fix"" and that at my next visit they could fix the line on my head . After $200, that is unacceptable! Today I am at a different salon having my roots done and they have done an amazing job in a FRACTION of the time.In addition, my stylist mentioned she has had to fix many clients hair coming from applewoods. My wife has been going to Ivelisse for over a decade. The woman is an artist...and my wife says she's a magician too. I should have left when they had me wait 30 minutes without saying anything. Stylist Mabel was trying to do two people at once and literally said maybe 5 sentences to me over the 3.5 hours I was there for a highlight and trim. After she applied color, she went on to someone else's hair for forty minutes. I finally got someone's attention to tell them that I'd had bleach on my hair for 2 hours, Mabel overheard, didn't say a single thing to me, but had me sit at the rinsing station and left. After a few minutes, two stylists I was not introduced to took 40 minutes to remove the foils while speaking in Spanish over my head. Nobody said a single word to me. Maybe if i spoke Spanish I wouldn't have been treated like a second class customer, who knows. I've never had such a bad customer service experience. The trim was fine, the color was left on too long, is uneven, and she clearly put in as few foils as possible. Front desk and manager were very pleasant, but the experience as a whole was horrible. My husband and I recently moved to the area and finding a hair salon you can trust and love is very hard so I thought by going with an Aveda salon since the salon I used to go to back home was also an Aveda salon I would get the same outcome! Boy was I wrong! I booked with a "master" hair stylist and basically took the scissors out of her hands and said no more you can stop you have done enough my hair looks awful and it's all your fault! The sad part is I even showed her a c...ouple of pictures of what I wanted which was an angled bob like cut short in the back but not stacked! I wanted a natural back! I basically got a boy mushroom cut that was so uneven! Let's just say I was in tears for a long time!! It really upsets me that I still ended up having to pay $140 for nothing and now it is going to take so long to grow out so that it can be fixed NEVER by any stylist at Applewoods! Let's just say although the atmosphere was quite quiet for a Sunday, the service was not what I expected. I went in last Sunday, My appointment was suppose to be at 2:20pm, I came in 10 minutes early, I was not seen til 3:30pm. I went in for a color and wanted 2 strand peekaboo color. I was told that I could not do a peekaboo color in my hair cause there wasn't going to be enough time meanwhile it was only 3:40pm and bleaching does not take long for my hair... I've bleached m...y hair many times before usually takes 20 min or less)...My stylist ruined my favorite shirt cause she failed to place a cover over me at the beginning, it wasn't until the other stylist pointed it out that she put one on. I thought that was how they did it there (I thought wrong). I left a message with the receptionist for the manager but no one ever got back to me. So I walk into applewoods very excited to finally get my colored. Staff were friendly, calm atmosphere, I guess on an afternoon Sunday it's not so chaotic... So My appointment time was suppose to be at 2:20pm. I came in 10 minutes early and an hour and 10 minutes later was finally seen. I had my hair colored by a tall lady, sorry I can't remember her name which is good for her I guess, she had a short shoulder length bob, dark brown burgundy color. Anywho I sat down and finally picked a color. She then proceeded to color my hair. I asked her if she can do a 2 strand peekaboo color on the inside back of my hair, she said maybe next time cause she would have to bleach and the salon closes at 5(it was 3:40 at that time) hmmmm bleaching doesn't take 2 hours... anyways, since I've never really done my hair at a salon I didn't think about the protection of my clothes. Yes that's right! she failed to put a covering over me and got my favorite Victoria secret shirt that I was going to wear for a dinner painted. When the other ladies realized that I didn't have one on they told her if she had gone crazy in Spanish(I guess they assumed I wasn't Hispanic). She then after almost being done with my hair apologized and wrapped a cover over me, she sprayed one little dot off which I thought was the only mark. Color came out fine, average, nothing of a wow factor. I arrived home and my husband realized my shirt was ruined. When I took off the shirt to see cause I didn't believe him there it was, all over my upper back, HAIR DYE! how disappointing. I called the salon the next day and asked to speak to a manager the receptionist took my name and number but I never received a call back from the manager at this point I had a sour taste in my mouth and was beyond angry. Now I'm -$90 Minus a $40 shirt. Thank you applewoods manager for being so great at not resolving issues with a customer and for having employees sorry employee (cause not all of them are at fault) who don't pay attention to details. My massage and facial by Claudia was amazing. She took her time explaining the different oils and scents. She took her time and was so sweet. Toni, la Mexicana, as she'd like me to call her, was also amazing. It's as if she was in my head, I told her what color I wanted and she took it further by suggesting highlights and shine. Before booking my appointment, I asked them if any of the hairdressers knew how to style and cut long hair. I wanted the cut to be a V shaped Layer. The lady on the phone reassured me that there's a guy at the salon who knew how to cut and style long hair and can do the cut for me. It was my first time here at this location and when it comes to my hair I am very anal. As I walked in the girl that was at the counter gave me an attitude and was like, "We will be with you just a... second". Like no welcome or hello, RUDE! So I just sat down and waited to to be helped. Then the same rude lady comes to me and calls me by another name and told her that that was not my name. The guy that was suppose to cut my hair came out and he asked me how I wanted my hair and I told him 4 times (He doesn't speak English much but he said he could do it and understood me). After cutting my hair and showing off his scissor skills, I saw him cut himself while he was cutting my hair! He didn't put on a bandage right away, a few minutes later he put one on. Then when it was time to blowdry my hair, yeah cool he blow dried my hair so I was unable to actually see how the layers were. A few days after my cut, I am beyond pissed and dissatisfied with my haircut. Not only did he screw up the cut but my hair is no where near a v-shaped layer! I come from Europe and stayed almost 1 month in Weston.. I had the pleasure of finding APPLEWOODS and did a bunch of treatments while I was there. The massage was absolutely DIVINE, and coming from Europe where they have the best SPA's I have never had such a pleasant, well done, massage. I had a facial with oxygen, which left my skin impeccable. Finally my last visit was a mani and pedi, ..they were a dream.. they place a warm pillow around your neck which kind of massages your neck and relaxes you while you sit in a huge comfy seat (with massage settings as well).. all absolutelly fabulous.. the lady who did my pedicure sure knew what she was doing....I WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.... My stylist is the best!!! Her name is Ivelisse Sant' Drevon, the artistic director of this salon, and her devotion for the clients and for what she does exceeded my expectation. Applewoods and Ivelisse treated as a queen, since I arrived they offered me tea, and then the consultation before they started my services, till the massage in my hands and my scalp during the shampoo, until I walked out with a great hair cut and color. Not only she was awesome, but I noticed how the other stylist were great as well and the manicure and pedicure area was very relaxing. I came to this salon to get pedicures and was really happy so i finally decided to get my hair done. What a mistake. I came in for a consultation explaining i wanted to change my dark brown hair to a natural light brown (without brass/orange). When i came in for my appointment i waited 45min for the stylist then when he finally showed up I showed the stylist several pictures illustrating what i wanted to make sure he knew what i envisioned as a final result. Six hours later i walked out of there with brittle hair the color of my olive skin which turned bright orange in the sun light. I came back the following monday to see a different stylist since the guy who did my hair could not see me that day and i didnt want him touching my hair anyway. The stylist who saw me that day was really nice and agreed that the results were not the best and tried to fix it. Instead my hair turned out black!!! Before leaving i got the managers information as i felt $300 for dry black hair was unacceptable. When i called the following day the woman was ridiculous. She refused to refund my money. She told me one minute i was a liar and she knew i was happy because she saw me on the day of my original appointment then told me she couldnt comment on the stylist assuring me that he could give me the results i wanted because she wasnt there that day. Ultimately she hung up on me and never refunded a penny of the $300 I paid. Very unprofessional management. I will never in my life set foot in this place again! Read Less
