It is beautiful luxurious spa! Me and my friend came to Palm Beach on Vacation and wanted to treat ourselves. When I got to the chair I had to wait for someone to do my pedi for like 15 mins or more. Which didn't really bother me. The thing what pissed me off really bad that the guy named Hayden who was doing my pedi was in such a rush that I didn't enjoy my time there at all. He scratched some skin on my toes when he was scraping a dead skin. And when I told him that it hurt what ever he was doing. All of the nail places downtown charge the same so why not go to the best? It's a big beautiful salon, the management is super professional and friendly and the staff is efficient and every single one of them has been great. I never write reviews but I had to for this salon. I'm in Florida for a vacation and didn't have time to do my nails before so I stopped here. Thank God it's only one time because I would never come here again. First off, the receptionist is rude and is on the phone while I'm talking to her!! I've never seen that before. How unprofessional. Second, they are so lazy!! They take off your "no chip" nails with the machine that they use for acrylics and not with the acetone/cotton with foil?? I've never seen that before. That is so damaging to your nails and it didn't seem to phase them. Third, he was in SUCH a hurry and I could tell that he made a mistake but completely disregarded it. I'm from NYC and to find a good nailtech elsewhere is a risky undertaking but I've found one here at Venetian. Her name is Thy (pronounced T) and she's AMAZING!! I was doing gel forever and my nails kept splitting/peeling/deteriorating with every process. I started Nextgen Dipping 3months ago and my nails have never been longer or healthier! On Wednesday I made the worst mistake of my life. Well, not to be melodramatic but it was an awful experience. I am visiting WPB from Minnesota and I broke one of my beautiful caviar acrylic nails while vacationing in Islamorada. I decided to go to Venetian Nail Spa to have my acrylic removed and get my natural nails manicured and painted. When I arrived, I informed them that I had my acrylics for quite some time, so my nails would naturally be pretty weak. The manager told me I would need gel, although I really didn't want it, I agreed to it (again, because I knew my nails would be weak). He assigned a man, Henry, to do my nails, which I often oppose because they can be rather rough and not very meticulous. However, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt UNTIL he began doing my nails. He was rough, and the language barrier was a problem when I wanted to inform him that he was hurting my hands. He was also very cold towards me. He cut my nails shorter than the agreed upon length, exposing my raw skin, then he let me sit for a long time as the acrylic soaked. When he returned he reeked of cigarettes and he did not wash his hands OR apply the hand sanitizer that was sitting right on the table. When he revealed my nails, he abruptly left me and got another nail technician, who informed me that dip powder would be better for my nails and also more expensive. When I declined they became more standoffish and continued to try to convince me to get the dip powder polish. I said no and asked for a buffing and regular polish instead. He only buffed my nails. He did not file or polish them and when I asked if he was done, he shrugged his should and said: "Done!" I was extremely disappointed because my nails looked like they had been in a fight with acetone. My nails looked amazing when I got them done in Eagen, Minnesota at Eagan Nails. I thought surely in wealthy West Palm Beach I would find an adequate if not better nail salon. I was SO wrong. This place is beautiful and the staff is accommodating and friendly. The place is clean and accepts reservations. if you have a problem with the work they do i have seen them fix their mistakes. However i am giving it three stars because it seems as though no matter how many times i go in, my nails are never perfect (acrylic sets or fills). They will look nice upon my exit from the salon, however 3-5 days later my nail polish is lifting and the acrylic is so thin its coming off at the sides and lifting from my nail. This will be the 3rd week in a row where i will have to go back and have them redone completely. The pedicures are great, which is the main reason i still give 3 stars. I am not sure if it is the nail techs used or the products used, but i always leave wishing for more. Read Less

Twice I've come here. First time I asked for a pedicure and a Nexgen manicure, specifically asking if there would be enough time before they closed to get both done. First they said yes, then they said no, after trying to find a technician for my pedicure.  The pedicure was good enough, nothing to criticize there. The next time I came in last week as a walk-in, I asked for a Nexgen manicure. I was told there was nothing available until 6 or 6:30, so I went shopping in CityPlace for an hour until 6 to come back. I came back and was told there was nothing available for the rest of the day because people had booked an event, monopolizing all of the technicians. They had maybe 4 technicians, not enough for walk ins?  Why not put a sign on the door that they were closed for an event instead of leading me on? I've been to other Venetian Nail Spas and have NEVER been able to not get a service on walk in. This place is very understaffed and disappointing. They'd have my business since my condo is within walking distance but since I've been so disappointed I'll gladly drive elsewhere for a good manicure. Read Less

I am a long time customer of Venetian Nails in both Boynton Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. The City Place location has poorly trained staff and gives the franchise a bad name. On 2 separate occasions, I have had to go back to have my nails fixed. I just left there 2 hours ago and my dip manicure has spots all over it. The nail technician had trouble with his brush with the dip topcoat and borrowed one from another bottle. Apparently, it introduced a chemical into the mix that is breaking down the dip manicure. This is AFTER I wasted an extra 30 minutes there because the technician that started my service and did my pedicure didn't know you were supposed to be soaking the hands in acetone during the pedicure to get the previous dip coat off. When I called the person was clueless - didn't know when the manager would be in or if someone would be available Monday morning to fix my manicure before I leave on a week long business trip. Have to agree with previous comment. Do not come here before a special event. Huge event at my house Friday and came in for gel manicure and pedicure . The gentleman, Thai, had a very hard time putting an even coat on and put so many coats that 3 hours later they were still wet. He also decided to fill the end of my new gel coat . I asked specifically if thatSo in 12 hours my French manicure was ruined. The only reason for 2 stars is Andrea who quickly fixed everything as I had no time for a redo. She knows her stuff and wouldn't just patch up the gel which I know wouldn't last but got me going shortly. What an absolute waste of time it was seeing Thai and I left a solid 20% or 12$$ tip for the crap job . Read Less

Stopped by without an appointment and was greeted by 2 very polite and nice young ladies.  I waited for maybe 10 minutes and was started by a lady named Steph. She was very nice and seemed very interested in making my experience a pleasant one. For some reasons she switch me to a man who she said was her husband. I'm so glad she did.  His name is Paul he was excellent. My dipping nails look beautiful. The place is clean and the prices are the same as everywhere else in town for dipping. The nail technicians and waxers here are wonderful. They are all very friendly, professional, and experienced. However, the receptionist is not my favorite. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER IN A NAIL SALON!!!!!!   Walked in 4 a pedicure..the pads of my toes where scrubbed 2 the point they had burns on them. Than he proceeded to cut my nails and he cut in so deep in 4 places I was bleeding n lastly one of my nails was dug in so badly the side of my nail was cut away.  My feet were bleeding so bad I had a trail of blood out the door. I told the manager and I had to ask him 4 bandaids. I left walking on the sides of my feet as my toe pads where so burned from abrasion.  15 days later I ended up having surgery in 2 places on on both big toes. A portion of my nail had to be removed during surgery. I have to apply medication to the pads of my toes because of the burns on them.                     Everyday now I have to soak my feet for 20 minutes n apply medication to the toes twice a day!!!  The place looks absolutely beautiful but clients beware!!!  I wrote this review because I don't want anyone to go through what I went thru n possibly lose a toe or finger!!!! My favorite nail spa EVER !! A beautiful location with great service. I always ask for T-- she is absolutely AMAZING !! I typically wait for her when she's with another client. Walk-in seems to work best, if they're busy, get a glass of wine and sit back and relax. I'm usually one that jumps around nails spas and technicians but I've been going back consistently for the last 6 months. I usually get a gel pedicure and powder manicure. For me, Nexgen is the best nail enhancement product on the market when it's done right.  I can go on the average three weeks between needing a fill without having any issues of the nails breaking or lifting. The key is finding someone who truly knows how to use this product line properly and it has proven to be nearly impossible for me to find anyone in the West Palm Beach area who truly knows how to apply the Nexgen product properly. I discovered Nexgen over two years ago at a place on PGA Blvd. in the Gardens called The Polished Nail, and while I think this is an outstanding salon,  it is simply not convenient for me as I live in West Palm Beach, about 30 minutes away.  So I have been searching for a salon closer to where I live where I can get a Nexgen manicure that has technicians trained in using this product line. It seemed for the longest time that most salons had the product but didn't  have anyone on staff who was truly trained in how to use the product properly.  Getting a Nexgen manicure by an untrained tech can leave you with nails that look lumpy and uneven but event worst, they will break and chip very quickly.So imagine my surprise on Christmas Eve , while running around doing last minute holiday errands, when I saw a brand new glamours nail salon that had opened up just by the grocery store.  I needed my nails done badly and I knew I didn't have the time to drive up to the Gardens.  So I figured what the heck , why not give this new place a try.  Well the VENETIAN turned out to be one of the best gifts I got this season because I now have  a fabulous new nail salon that offers NEXGEN with a well trained staff that is conveniently located in downtown West Palm Beach at City Place. The first thing you notice is how gorgeous the facility is with several fountains, velvet chairs and marble floors  - it's obvious a fortune was spent on creating a space that will offer a first class experience. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and ask if you would like a complimentary beverage  while you wait to see your technician.  With beverage options ranging from wine to water , I was happy to be given a glass of wine I actually wanted to drink!  And while all of this is very nice , it would all be meaningless without a  well trained staff.  So I'm excited to say that the real reason I am able to give the VENETIAN five stars is because they have on staff one of the most talented nail technicians I have ever received a manicure and pedicure from.  His name is "TOM" and  he is without a doubt my new nail guru.  I highly recommend calling and booking him in advance ,  he's a perfectionist who did exactly what I  wanted. Also he is obviously very experienced  as the manicure didn't drag on forever like some manicures can with less well trained techs ,  and while he is very focused on what he is doing ,he is also very pleasant to talk to,  just an  all around perfect nail salon experience!!!!!  My Nexgen manicure was absolute perfection.   On this particular day I was getting ready for a holiday party so I thought it would be fun to make my nails longer than usual and pointed,  a shape I had never tried before - Tom nailed it making my holiday nails extra festive.I love everything about this salon , it's well priced, spotlessly clean with state of the art equipment and a super friendly, experienced  staff.  Also it's located at the end of City Place, close to Publix grocery store, making the location very convenient and easy for parking.   For me this was a Christmas gift I will enjoy all year long!I've posted two photos of the same manicure but fifteen days apart.  The first photo was taken December 24th.  But after two weeks, my nails had gotten too long , so I stopped in on January 8th and had Tom file down the length of my nails and change the shape as I find this shape easier to do work. Can you believe - fifteen days since I had the original manicure and as you can see, I didn't need to have a "fill" and I didn't have a single chip or break!  This is what you can expect from a NEXGEN manicure when it's been done by a true professional like TOM! If you have a special occasion don't come here. Worst experience of my life. The place itself looks very nice and clean but the nail technicians are horrible. I got a gel manicure and when the technician was doing it I told him I did not want my nails to be pink. He spoke poor English and said yes yes. So at the end I spoke with the manager and he said they would redo my nails and that the technician accidentally used the pink gel. I didn't have time as it was before Christmas December 24th 2016 so he told me to just pay and come back. I am now back and he remembers me and is saying I now have to pay again. Worst experience and my gel nails are falling off 5 days later.  There are many other nail salons that are way better for the price. Beware ladies. I get my nails done every two weeks for the past 10 years. This nail salon was close to my condo but I would rather drive 100 miles to get my nails done than come to this establishment. Hands Down the worst salon I've been to in my life!The salon was built very beautifully . The receptionist was super nice. But my raving ends there!I knew it was going to be bad the minute I saw the nail tech. He looked clueless! I came in for a gel mani and a pedi. I had gel polish on from a previous service from somewhere else. The guy wanted to use the drill to file the gel off instead of using the foiling method. As soon as I saw, I asked for the foil method. He didn't understand me and a co-worker had to translate. So he applied the foil and moved me to the pedicure chair. Typically a pedicure last about 30-45 mins. This guy took a whole HOUR. My fingers and hands was burning from soaking in the acetone foil while he did my pedicure. Let's talk about the actual pedicure. He used a cuticle pusher and was chiseling away at my nail bed. I was mortified! Then when he used the Cuticle clipper, he cut me and left my toe bleeding. It wasn't a small cut and it wasn't bleeding just little. It was still bleeding when I left the salon over an hour later. He even polished me with a bleeding toe and it mixed with the polishes. So gross! Not only that...he used the sugar scrub to massage me. Even his co-worker was questioning his technique. Now onto the gel manicure. The removal of the old gel polish wasn't too bad. However the manicure and polish part could use some practice. The guy started to cut my nails and filed away without asking which style I wanted and how short to cut my nails. The length he trimmed it to wasn't too bad...but he started to shape my nails as round (I came in with square nails). So 3 fingers in...I noticed and asked him for square. He didn't understand me and kept insisting on round. When he tried to fix it. He filed all my fingers down to the bare skin. All TEN fingers were crooked!!!! Onto the polish..I've done enough gel polish to know that you should not get the gel onto the cuticle. The polish should be applied very close but not on or touching the cuticle. If it's applied wrong, the polish will lift in a few days and peel. Gel is not like regular polish were you can clean up the area at the end with acetone. Once it goes under the light, it sets. This man painted all over the place. You can see that he was struggling to see my hand and paint it correctly. Honestly I couldn't believe a paid a premium for such a crappy job. I'm never coming back and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Right now I'm praying I don't get an infection from the cut. Awesome experience with T! Had a morning appointment and she was all ready for me when I got there, pleasant conversation and very relaxing pedicure. She mentioned doing some nail art and I just love the holiday designs, a snowflake and peppermint toe. T had some great ideas for my fingers also to make them festive for the holidays. This place is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably  clean. I waited a day before talking about the service and product because I ALWAYS find a flaw as soon as I get into the car, get home or look at my nails in bright sunlight.NO COMPLAINTS! I am super happy with my nexgen/dip it nails and regular polish pedicure I received yesterday. The finger nails are perfect, carefully applied thin layers that look like shiny polish & not like somebody clued Chiclets to my fingertips. I was dozing off during the pedicure with hot towels, masks and scrubs.The staff is professional, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. No "You want wax? You need wax" shaming done. This salon is beautiful and the customer service is probably the top I've experienced at a salon before. I got a gel mani and pedicure. I really liked their color selection, and the tech took her time, which I appreciated. The next day, the polish on one of my toes chipped. Less than a week later, my gel polish started peeling on four of my nails. Gel manis last me two weeks, and this salon advertises that they last up to three weeks. This was a total waste of money.
