I believe in paying for good service and tipping, but I proudly walked out of this shop without tipping! I wear my natural nails. I broke one nail previously that's healing so it's shorter than the others. I told him "not to worry it'll catch up with the others that I was growing my nails. He clipped my nails fine BUT took it upon himself to file my nails down to my nail beds!!!!! Why when I clearly stated I was growing my nails. The nail shop owner then clapped at me like I was a kid to move to the pedicure chair- in a rushing manner. I am not a kid!!!! Not sure what you do with your regulars, but as a new customer this was a MAJOR turn off! While getting a pedicure was relaxing- there was nothing special about their basic $38 pedicure except the price and lack of amenities for the escalated price. When I asked my price and the breakdown of services (THIS PLACE DOESN'T HAVE A PRICE LIST UP NOR DO THEY INFORM YOU OF ANY CHARGES PRIOR TO CHECK OUT) he caught and attitude and exhaled as if I was holding him up or wasn't supposed to check him math. Relaxing pedicure and pleasant staff. I sent a yelp message at 1130pm the night before and got an appt for the next morning. The place is older but well maintained. The message chairs are large with many modes. Kim was my technician and she was quiet ( which I prefer) and she did a fantastic job giving me a relaxing and well done pedicure. Mike your attitude towards your customers suck. I came in today to fix one nail. I spoke to Tara on the phone and she was so sweet. I scheduled an appointment with my regular nail teck Amy for Monday since she is on vacation. The first thing you asked me was why I don’t put glue on it. I told you that I did and it keeps lifting. I use nexgen so it’s over my real nail and it hurts when it lifts. You did not seem pleased. I asked if Lily was there and if she was available if I did a full set. You said yes. I selected a color and you told me to sit in the first station. I asked you if Lily will do the full set because I know her station was at the other end and it appeared that you were having me sit at the First station to repair the nail. You raised your voice and said “why you keep asking me the same question? I told you to sit right here an Lily do for you but you just keep asking me the same question.” I said “excuse me, why are you raising your voice at me?” You continued to shout at me while everyone in the shop had your full attention. Needless to say I walked out. I am very sad because I love the way Amy does my nails and I even encourage my cousin to start going to Amy. My cousin came in once with her daughter and you were so rude to her so she never went back and I encouraged her to go to Amy after her horrible experience with you. They way you treat your paying customers is unacceptable. There are so many places that I can go to get my nails done and I choose to come to your place every two weeks. Just got my eyebrows done here. The lady did a terrible job. I asked her if she could shape them at all and she says " no we only do little first time".. I stood up looking in the mirror like okay, they look the same & she's like u want me to do more? But obviously I would not trust her to continue to work on my face when the whole job took less than a minute & she clearly didnt care if they were even or anything my eyebrows look worse than when I came in. I have a rash and am breaking out. Don't get your eyebrows done here!!! Waste of $11. Go to a pro or do it yourself. Now I have to go somewhere else to have them redone. Pretty sure she just waxed my skin and took no hair off bc I didn't even feel any hair being removed except with the scissors.Read Less

What a lucky find, this place goes above and beyond in customer service and does great work! I knew I was a bit late calling on the day before a holiday and still the owner had me come in and the staff was excellent. My chrome gel manicure looks great and they really saved my nails from anymore damage while on vaca. He has given away scheduled appointments numerous times. I have had appointments, but several times when I get there, I have to wait up to an hour because he has no honor in his appointments. I just moved to the area and i am a very LOYAL customer when it comes to finding a good nail tech. I called the manager mike about this and let him know id come out with my mom....i asked about pricing and although i kept hearing him tell other clients $25 since this would have been repeat business he said he would give me a great deal and would take care of us. When we got there they still wouldnt give pricing. I got a FILL ....not even half white tip..painted whole nail and... a basic pedicure. My mom got a deluxe pedicure and a basic manicure. At the end he told me it wad $72 for me and $73 for my mom...so that meant with the tip it was almost $100 each . I was literally stunned. I went home not able to process how it could have been that high and sure enough i looked online and it said a WHOLE set of acrylics were $30. A basic pedicure had a special of $20 and a basic manicure was $15. I called and he was so rude. He knew he tried to scam us. However 1. I dont do well with sleezy bad business people and 2. Ive been getting my nails done for over 2 decades. One nail has already popped off and the paint job is bad. He kept saying hed give me a $10 discount on the phone but would not service me next time (which i had NO intentions of going back regardless) he was extremely rude and he lost a very good customer who gets her nails done every 12 days. Kim did my nails. They look great. I just relocated here from Atlanta, where there's a nail shop on every corner. I'm very particular about my nails, I like them long, flat, natural looking. I like to grow nails with the "and" dipping powder on them. No tips if I can help it. To do this you have to have someone that is willing to take the extra time and work with your natural nails. I've been to 3 different salons in the area and this is the first place that didn't use a drill on my real nails. I thought the whole point of the dipping powder is to make your nails strong. But this can't happen if you're tech is drilling your real nails on top and underneath. Anyway, Kim listened to me and my nails look awesome. The price was $20 less than both the other salons. My nails look awesome. I will definitely be back and hopefully they can help get my nails back on track. So far so good!!! Read Less

I have been going to Oxygenix for almost 3 years now. Many people go for mani/pedi's for relaxation. I unfortunately, simply cannot relax! I have issues with someone touching my one foot from an old injury. MJ is awesome! She has figured out how to make me relax and not be such a fuss in the chair! I'm being a client for maybe 3 years and love the place, the environment, my technician is awesome but last 3 times I came the cashier definitely made the experience the worst. She talk to the client like we come to ask services for free, worst attitude ever, start arguing to the technicians in front of us ending with "I don't care what you do" I love this place but that kind of "welcome" ruins the good mood and disposition of any individual. I LOVE San Diego Nails. I have lost count on how many different places I have gone and been unsatisfied (Germany, UK, US). I don't think I ask for much. I want my nails filled even without rough edges, all the same length, my cuticles looking good, my polish even, if I choose a design for it to look good, and for the gels to be strong even and not start peeling or chipping within days.
