So I see a decent amount of positive comments, but based on what experiences I have had there, I would beg to differ. Now the staff weren't bad, but they weren't great either. They seemed in a BIT of a rush but that wasn't what got me so upset. While they were using a metal object to even my cuticles they ended up making about 6/10 of my cuticles bleed! It stung a little while after and it made my feet look horrible. The designs were good, but if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in for about 30-45 min... I always feel so pampered and blessed when I leave. Beautiful place, the new updated chairs are heaven. I will always ask for Nina, she was an angel who read my vibe and knew that I needed some loving care. OK paint job, but didn't paint front of nail... Paid attention to shaping the nail, which was nice... Bad callous treatment, even though I asked them to pay special attention- now my feet are rougher than they were going in for the pedi... Massage was nonexistent... Didn't offer any water, tea, or coffee. They could have a very relaxing atmosphere if they did more than offer soothing lights and new massage chairs- the level of service isn't there at all. I heard somebody at the same time I was there say that they saw a cockroach skitter across the floor, but I didn't see it...  They do leave the front door open, which if you ask me is nice because so many places here in FL are always closed up tight with A/C cranking,  so maybe that could contribute to critters getting in like the women claimed they saw.Not my first choice or a good value- would only go again just to have the nails shaped and a polish change. I went to Venetian Nail Spa after a long day at work trying to relax and get a full set of nails and a pedicure. The pedicure was nice and the lady did a great job painting my nails, but the gentleman doing my full set was a different story. He messed up from the beginning and when I told him he had cut my nails crooked he ignored me. When I told him I wanted a design on my nail he ignored me and then decided himself I'm getting gel. He was in such a rush when I went to wash my hands he told me no and brush them off he cut my pinky finger from falling so hard into my skin that it bled and then told me I should come earlier so he could do a better job. I work.in Palm Harbor so it's late when I get home. Oh, and all of this cost me $71. I tried to call them as soon as I left, but they had already booked it out. DO NOT get eyelash extensions here. Only the manager does them, I have had them done in nyc and this was a nightmare in comparison. Just don't do it. I was impulsive and should have done my homework. They pinched, were not soft all looked same length, were not subtle and the glue was clumped on my lashes. Now they have taken my lashes multiple at a time and they gave no instructions how to remove and I wouldn't trust anything they said. She said these were minkx lashes which i had before and should feel soft like your own instead they feel hard and plasticky like your daughter's doll baby's lashes. ugh! Now I have to wear glue on lashes because of the  gaps in between where they have fallen off, because I will not get refills here. Read Less

Went and got a fill and pedicure one time and never went back. During my pedicure I did not get any sort of massage or offered a drink. They painted my toenails awful. There was paint everywhere! I asked the women doing my nails to clean them up and I got an eye roll as she went back to redo them.The fill was quick and it really showed. 2 days my nails were chipping and lifting. Convenient and close to my house, and such high reviews on Yelp...it was a no brainer to have some girl time with my best friend when she was visiting for the holidays.The salon isn't anything fancy, but clean.  Offered us a beverage, and staff seemed helpful.  We sat within 10 minutes without an appointment, and they did a decent clean up job on my eyebrows.That's about as good as it gets there.  We got the "upgraded" pedicure packages but didn't feel we got any extras compared to any other salon.  On top of it, the guy doing my girlfriend's nails hit on her a couple of times and offered to help father her children if she needed (I'm pregnant so kids were the topic of conversation for a little bit)...which in our opinion was taking it a little too far and made her a little uncomfortable.  My french pedicure was chipping within 1.5 weeks!  I couldn't believe it.  I've never had a pedicure that didn't last at least a month.We also got gel manicures, and mine were chipping within 5 days, and hers within a week.  For a bill over $100 for me and about $80 for her we were pretty disappointed with the service.We both agree each other's company was the main advantage of the time we spent at Venetian...and luckily we can do that anywhere. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!I wanted a pink and white gel fill in. I was told only a few techs do them in their shop. I was told by the owner if I did not like it I would not have to pay. I said I was very picky, No problem spending the money if the work is Quality. I have had bad fill ins before but this was the the worst. Lines were not even straight. The owner said she never said I could have my money back, She lied. Work was awful. This salon is a meat market they have no quality in their service. This has to be the worst nail salon in all of Tampa. The tech did not know how to do a gel fill in. He pretended he did after 2 hours he was backed up and had to reschedule appts. I had an appt. I have been a regular client for about a year. Unfortunately, today I had a terrible experience that is actually a significant health/safety issue. I usually choose the hot stone deluxe pedicure. Today, instead of the hot oil, the bottle was mistakenly filled with Top Coat polish and both of my legs were covered with Top Coat which dried tight and irritated my legs. Then, they had to remove the Top Coat polish from both of my legs by soaking my legs in acetone and scrubbing it off. Unfortunately, the top coat and the oil are both purple tinted and apparently can be easily confused. The manager had a very -careless attitude and said she clearly marked the original bottle and it was the fault of the employee who filled the oil bottles and so she felt no responsibility. I later learned the employee who filled the bottles was new. To add insult to REAL injury, the manager proceeded to ask me to pay for the botched pedicure. When I protested, she decided to waive the charge for the pedicure and only charged me for the manicure. Since these two products can be easily confused, and several of the staff said they always worry about confusing them, the salon should look into finding a better way to differentiate them as to not injury another customer. First time at Venetian..downside: they try to up sell the ENTIRE time you are there. Iwent there to try a new salon and get a basic pedicure. From the moment I sat in the chair I was "nagged" into getting the other more expensive pedicures. Even after she began my pedicure she was still trying to sell me a more expensive option. Not at all relaxing!!! I was offered water and then saw another woman drinking complimentary wine..??? Guess she was too busy trying to get me to spend more money that she didn't offer me the soda or wine. Anyway..the pedicure was average and the up selling during my pedicure was NOT relaxing at all!
