Cool that they have a lot of pedicure chairs and manicure tables, but the ladies doing the pedicures are so different one time you get one that is great at the massage and sucks at the cuticle removal, and then it's visa versa, and it's frustrating having to remind them you need to clean up my cuticles, and then pay. I am very disappointed in the customer service. I made an appointment for eyelash extensions and was left waiting. After 20 mins, when i inquired i was told she is on her way. After arriving 30 mins late, the tech tells me the eyelash extensions will take 2 hours and informed the price was double then what i was originally told. The owner could be more courteous to customers. After all we have kept him in business this long. I witnessed a scene on a busy Saturday afternoon where the owner was completely rude and yelling at a customer in front of everyone. He didn't care the disagreement was heard throughout the place. He could have handled it differently. The girl at the front desk is incompetent. She does not know how to coordinate assigning incoming customers to the nail technicians. Diane is hands down the best nail tech here. She takes her time and is very thorough with my nails. She took care of my in grown toe nail the way it should be taken care of and now I experience no pain when it comes to it. I'm so very thankful for her and her services. I have been going to Nail Country for awhile and have always been happy with the techs. If you are like me, it's a treat to get a pedi or mani, relaxing. Well, today the owner decides he wants to fight with his employees in front of paying clients. When a client stated she was trying to enjoy her manicure, and take the disruption to the office, he told the customer she could leave! Literally walked to the table and told her she could leave. Find a different salon. I have been to this salon in the past and it is never great, but they have done a passable job. This time was awful. The woman doing my nails was hurrying through mine to get to another customer that they had double booked. I got a got a pedicure which it's $50 before tip and it took her only 20 mins because she rushed through. I chose this type of pedi specifically to remove calluses which are still there and now shin is peeling. When she rinsed of my legs she burned me. She burned me again with the hot stones because she was going too fast. I told her it was too hot and she just said oh sorry and put them right back on. The bottoms of my feel are still tender. My polish also looks ridiculous and I know it isn't going to last. I would recommend finding a different nail salon in the area. Read Less

Used to go here for acrylics and pedicures... they cut up my fingers sooo badly every time I couldn't grab things for a few days following the appointment. The last straw was when I got a pedicure and got a fungus on my toe from their polish and or tools. Now half my nail is dead and I have to wait for it to just fall off.... I will never go here again. The receptionist is extremely rude, she's a brainless youngen and makes you feel very uncomfortable and if you don't ever do nails much but once in a great while like myself she makes you feel intimidated and literally laughs in your face. What horrible horrible service! The tech came over to talk but she didn't understand how to do nail design of a Japanese sun on white gels. She hesitated so much on how to respond if she can even draw anything. I got up n said thank you n just left before she could answer me. She hesitated to long so that indicated to me she is not capable nor artistic enough to draw or at least try. I even showed her the pictur i downloaded. Now i see why this place has 2 stars. No talent at all!!!! A Japanese sun is a red circle with the flags all around the circle. It's my culture.. a big red dot with red flags around it. Even a red dot itself would also be fine. I give 2/5 stars only because the nail techs do a great job (90% of the time anyway). The front desk staff is always rude, you are lucky to get acknowledged when you walk in the door. Van is an excellent nail tech and would recommend her. However, the lack of customer service makes it hard to pay the prices they want. I had a nail tech do a pedicure when Van wasn't available and left with two ingrowns that needed antibiotics and my gel nails chipped the next day. Upon returning to have it fixed, was told I would have to wait an hour so the same nail tech who did a poor job could "fix it" and they wanted to charge me for it even though it hadn't been 24 hours. The nail techs are awesome, especially Sue! I have been having my nails done by Sue for quite some time now. The salon is beautiful and clean. The receptionists however are awful. They are arrogant and rude and appear bored with having to speak with you whether it is on the phone or in person. When they need to tell one of the nail techs something, they yell it rather than quietly walking back to tell them. It seems like you would benefit from having someone a little more mature and a little less concerned about how they look rather than the teenagers that you have put in charge of your business. Been going here for a year after searching for the right place & I won't go anywhere else. I'm a quiet person so i don't mind nail techs not talking as other people seem to complain about - I'm there to relax not rant. I usually get a gel French from Visa - she is incredible; I've loved every mani I got. She is extremely detail oriented & a perfectionist...so am I, therefore I really appreciate it. Worst place I have ever been too.  My daughter, daughter in law and I went for pedicures.  I,also, got a gel manicure and my daughter in law got a manicure (and was talked into getting tips put on.)  My daughter was going to pay for the manicures and I was going to pay for the pedicures.  My technician could not figure that out.  So, I wound up paying $135 for 3 pedicures ($35 each - definitely not worth it) and $30 for my gel manicure.  My daughter paid $25 for the tips put on.  My daughter's pedicure was messed up by the time we got to the car.  2 days later my gel polish started peeling off.  It hasn't even been a week and my pedicure is peeling.  Normally, the gel polish last at least 2 weeks and my pedicures last far longer than that.  The nail technician kept trying to talk my daughter into getting her nails done.  Her nails had just been done 2 days ago in New York.  They were beautiful.  I will never go here again.  The price was outrageous for how little the gel manicure and pedicures lasted.  I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!! I came close to closing time on a Sunday for a gel pedicure and still didn't have to wait a long time. I got the organic mango pedicure, which included a mango scrub, moisturizer, and hot stone massage, in addition to the other pedicure features. So about 4 or 5 years ago I started going to Nikki who is a wonderful nail tech at nail country! I moved to Miami but will still travel up once a month to have her do my nails because I honestly couldn't find anyone who could do my them like she could. I ended up moving back to Tampa and still of course only getting my nails done by Nikki, I recently went to nail country to get my usual gel manicure done for my vacation this weekend, as of today I have had five people come up to me and ask who does my nails! The worst nail salon to go in our area, such a shame. Just walked in for a polish change after my superb facial at Hand and Stone (my bad! should have just driven 2 min to my regular place). Waited 30 min and then got handed over to Jenny, who was clearly upset with the receptionist who asked her to squeeze me in. Again, my mistake, I should have just walked out at that time. Jenny had a horrible attitude, no customer orientation, chipped and hurtful nails that she digs into your nails to clean outside polish. I mean, I have never experienced anything like this. Then when she was done, I had to request another technician to fix her shoddy job. She whispered into my ears that I should get my money back. Ok, that makes sense. I asked the front office if they would, and would have. But 2 other staff members said they need to check with their owner, who by the way is a ghost "Mr.Wee". Visits his own business once in a blue moon. Anyway, I didn't care about $7 as much as I cared about my precious time, experience and just "principles". They took my number for Mr.Wee to call me, I am confident I will never hear from him or anyone there. Of course my friends and I will never go to this stupid place again, anyway. Literally worst experience of my life. Got an extremely poor nail job and was not refunded. Came in and asked for a gel repaint and instead got my nails filed down to the quick, blood is dried in the polish due to a cut from too much buffing, and there is polish all over the skin around my nails. When I asked for a refund was offered a gift card for 50% back, refused and asked for a full refund and got threatened to have the cops called on me (literally for no reason, when I ...asked why they gave me no explanation). Did not raise my voice or exert any force but just wanted refund for a poor job. The owner/manager, that was not there, asked to speak to me on the phone and I couldn't even fit a word in over his screaming that I "was absolutely not getting refunded". The girls at the front desk did their best with what they were given, but the manager handled it extremely poorly. Take the plot and apply it to yourself if you ever sit in a chair at Nail Country because you're in for a "hell" of a ride. Customer service? Pish posh, as an owner, the priority here at Nail Country isn't guaranteeing services, it is guaranteeing unprofessionalism, screaming at the unsatisfied customer over the phone, and threatening customers with local police intervention because satisfaction is not our guarantee, it's pain and suffering. Call the fuzz, they gonna get code enforcement over here and make sure you're sanitizing your nasty tweezers. Go to a butcher shop instead. Watch Milo and Otis. Eat a Butterfinger. I was looking for a nice salon in the area. I had been toCND and New Tampa nails, they did an OK job, but I really was looking for a salon to wow me, and this one did! The girls up front are very sweet and I was in right away (4 o'clock on Sunday) the salon itself was beautiful. I came in for a full set of pink and whites. Sue was my tech and she was awesome. I was offered a drink, I chose white wine. I watched Friends on their giant flat screen and relaxed while sue worked her magic. I love the way they turned out. My service was $40, plus. $10 tip, so $50 all together. When I checked out, they told me I get a free tan with a service, so I used their tanning bed as well. It was very nice. I heard about this nail salon from one of my clients that knew I just moved to the area. She couldn't remember the name of her to tech so I just walked in to take my chances. They were able to take me right away. I wouldn't say the women at the desk were that friendly but not rude either. Kind of unenthusiastic. They directed me to the walls of color. They have 2 walls of gel nail color which is by far the largest selection I've ever seen. It is a little hard to tell the colors through the bottles. They also have 1 wall of regular nail polish. They had a lot of the newer colors which is good to see. While I was looking my nail tech came over and introduced herself, offered me a drink and told me where to go once I found my colors. The salon itself is very spacious and has a nice ambiance. The Pedi chairs seemed new and were in good condition. My nail tech Lily did a quick consultation and made suggestions. My feet were in terrible condition since it had been about 4 months since I found time to get a pedi. Lily never once insulted me or mad me feel bad. We agreed on one of the specialty pedi's it came with a massage, scrub, mask, and hot stone massage. Usually I am jumping out of the chair because the nail tech is over trimming, harshly scrubbing, or trying to do "surgery" on my nails. Lily did a great job and constantly checked my comfort level. I had the same nail tech for my gel polish manicure. She did a great job and never once cut or hurt me. I told her I worked with my hands and she did an extra coat to help the polish last longer. She also told me that I qualified for a free tan but I don't tan so I declined. While my nails where on my final dry, I watched Lily wash and dry her tools and put them away.I paid $77 for both services not including tip. I read a lot of the reviews and saw a lot of people say it was pricey. I've paid $80 for just pedicure alone at a nice spa or resort so I felt the price was fair for how I was treated and the lovely ambiance. I have gone to less expensive places as well but I always feel those places are in poor condition and you are stacked on top of each other. Not my idea of a pleasurable experience. I will definitely go back and will probably make an appointment with Lily before hand. This place was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon so I can only imagine what it looks like during the weekend. The technician did a great job on shaping my nails and knowing what color I was looking to have on my nails. Pretty good massage for my pedicure too. Only complaint is that no one greeted me when I first arrived and they didn't seem to be using freshly sanitized instruments. Maybe they were but it just came out of the dusty box at each stations. First of all, let me say, I am a licensed Esthetician in both Kansas and Florida. On to the review....Had to stop service and leave with my nails unfinished. "Molly" was the first tech, Ben was the second. I had to demand both clean their stations(after the first one screwed up my nails, they sent me to another tech, who I had to ask again to clean his disgusting station before touching me) This would never pass health regulations. As I was sitting there, I looked around to some of the other stations in view... All of them were unsanitary and filthy....including the nail dusting brushes and files they reuse one each person. This is a recipe for contracting a blood borne pathogen or fungal infection. After telling them not to touch me with the duster and dirty equipment.... I showed her exactly what shape I wanted my nails and she failed miserably. Now I have unfinished nails and one of them will have to be removed to redo to be able to match the shape of the rest. They are different lengths, crooked, and one was a totally different shape. Also, the first nail tech had a rude, nasty attitude with me immediately after me asking for her to sanitize her station before touching me. She sprayed her station from an unmarked spray bottle, so who really even knows what was in it. I read some other reviews after the fact... One girl was cut badly three times in one session, one girl had lifted skin below her brows from a badly botched brow wax job.... Do not get a service here. It's not worth possibly contracting a disease, and the artistry is terrible. I also did not notice one license posted in plain sight, which is required by law. I'm not even sure the tech was licensed. These people clearly only want your money but do not care about your wellbeing. Initially I visited this salon b/c it had good reviews. However I brought my two daughters (2 & 3) with me for their first professional pedicures. The ladies working with them were not friendly and very unpaitient with them. Granted, I know most would say their children are well behaved, but mine really are. I have painted and done their nails many times at home, so they know how to behave. Anyway, about a week and half later, I noticed my youngest's big toe nails had started splitting from the cuticle! She hadn't gotten hurt or anything, so I don't know how clean this place thinks they are, but after going on Google to find out what it was, it was clearly a funk from this salon! Poor thing now has stubby toe nails b/c they have fallen off! I do NOT recommend using this place! NOT good for kids or your nails! Awful!!! Poor quality, my manicure gel last 3 days and i came off one per day. I went to talk with the person in charge and they treated me as a thief. I argued that the gel should last at least 15 days that i have tried another nails places and his answered was "go back over there" Totally rude and no professional. Their customer service skills are nonexistent and they have never known the word courtesy. Because their service is fast they don't have take care to sterilize tools and sanitize where everybody puts their feet. You can catch bacteria, fungus, etc... Clearly, manicure and pedicure gel don't last long because they want you there every week. They are stealing everybody's money. Tried this place a three weeks ago, HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I've been here twice now. I saw VISA the first time as a walk-in for a pedicure and she was great. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment with her this time. I have really bad ingrown toenails and I can never find anyone that is good in Tampa, but she is definitely good (I can't speak for the other people that work here as I haven't tried them).The salon is very clean, and bright. The music is relaxing and not too loud. They offer refreshments (I believe they have wine and that's always a plus). Back to my pedicure, VISA is great. The chairs are clean, the massage is long enough and I don't feel like she's rushing to get it done. She takes her time applying the polish and my pedicure looked great for 2 weeks. She speaks English and doesn't spend half the appointment on her phone. I'm giving 5 stars for my experience with VISA, again I can't speak for other people or services!UPDATE: this is now my 3rd time here. VISA is taking more days off for the summer, my schedule doesn't match her schedule unfortunately. I decided to give someone else a try, they set me up with Kim. She is nice, and applied the polish pretty good too...but talked with the girls next to her (in Vietnamese) the entire time, didn't get my ingrown nails (even though I told her it was still bothering me) rushed through the pedicure, rushed through the massage and didn't even give me the menu to pick which pedicure I wanted. I normally get the one that cost more, but she felt the need to choose for me so sure I'll get the cheap one. I was out of her chair in 20 minutes. This was my first time to this salon.  I was a walk in and was initially told it would be about 15 minutes.  A minute later I was able to be seen!  I had an very relaxing "Tropical Spa Pedicure" complete with a hot stone massage.  VISA did an excellent job--I highly recommend her!  She was able to accommodate my special request of baseball nail art on my toes for my son's upcoming little league game!!I had a gel manicure as well that was very good.  Try to make an appointment with Visa  the next time you are in need of a good mani/pedi!! Well I have to say I agree with everyone else. I'm not gonna say the owner IS an A-hole but he really does come across as one. I've never personally spoken to him but he just never seems to smile or greet his customers the way an owner should. And I have heard from friends "the owner is a d-ck". The only reason I still go there is because of EMILY. She does a good job. She doesn't overly chit chat with the other girls or have her phone attached to her ear and make you feel uncomfortable like she's talking about you, which I really appreciate. And she doesn't talk you to death. I like to relax when I'm getting my nails done, not get asked a thousand questions. She is older than the other girls and seems more professional and overall a nicer person. There's another girl there that does a good job. I won't mention her name because I don't want to call her out on bad attitude. I went to Nail Country expecting a quality pedicure (should be a given at $40.) Although the decor is nice, the staff is not. They don't care that you are on time for your appointment, yet are seen a half hour later! My pedicurist ignored my requests and did a crap job. She just filed away haphazardly at my toenails until they were uneven, which showed greatly once she attempted to do a French pedi. She told me I came in with uneven toenails, like it was my fault?? Seriously?? I didn't know I had to prep my toes for a place that charges $40 for a pedi. One would think a nail salon would have employees that can file a nail properly. Horrible service. They cut corners and expect you to pay for their mistake. I went to get the new Shellac product within a day the gel chipped off my nail. When I went in to complain they told me that the only thing they could do is have the person who did them fix the ONE nail. And by the way they weren't going to be in that day so I would have to wait until they come in. For as much money as I spent the Shellac should have lasted more than a day. I read all the reviews about Nail Country & Tan Spa , and I was kind of worried how bad it will be for my nail service. But I was shopping at Publix and decided to give them a try and my nail service was not any where like other reviews here. Matter of fact , it is the best nail salon that I had ever been in. The place is well run with staffs that can speak English. They are very helpful and answer all questions that you have about nail.. And while I was there they offer free tan with their manicure and pedicure service . Wow, the tanning beds they have is the best I ever see. The prices for tan and nail so affordable with first class experience.. The place is so beautiful well decorated , and the soft jazz music they played so relaxing .. I am sold and recommended every to come there. I am now a loyal customer and so is all my family and friend.. But if you like to tan, wow they have the best tanning beds that you will find in Tampa, and I have been to alot of tan salons . Read Less

The atmosphere is decorated very nice and appears to be kept clean. Unfortunetly this is not a nail and tanning salon that most people would feel relaxed, due to the owner being consistently unprofessional, not nice, and at times just plain rude. I have attempted to be a loyal customer because I felt I was lucky enough to have good nail person. The owner is horribly rude to the customers and his employees. I had a nightmare experience and would not recommend wasting my time or money here. My nails were done with cheap products and they looked worse than they did when I came in. They refused to give me more than 4 min. tan. I have olive skin and very rarely burn.
