DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!! The owner Michael assured me he knew how to do Balayge and I had an event to go to that day that I was running late for. They gave me an initial estimate of $100 but when i got there instead charged me $189. I said ok, but as long as you know how to do this balayge process. At the end I noticed it was just highlights with long roots showing. I had to go to my event and then left for out of town for work the following day. I called back a week later and they said they would give the message to the owners. 2 weeks go by i heard nothing. So i go in. They tell me to email the owners my hair issues which i did. Both owners had personal issues which they were not at work to attend to their clients needs so i respectfully give them another week. They did not get back to me. I called again and spoke to the other owner Chris who told me he never got a call and never got an email and since I waited too long to tell them the issue they were not willing to fix it or give me my money back to fix it. Mind you he did not take any responsibility for not getting back to me after he told me he got the second message on the 30th(2.5 weeks after they did my hair initially) but that it was my fault i waited so long. He offered “to meet me half way” and for me to PAY again to CORRECT their issue in the first place they caused with $50 off the process. Last time i checked half of $189 is not $50. This place has NO INTEGRITY AND CLEARLY DOES NOT CARE TO CORRECT THIER WRONGS APPROPRIATELY. I got two other opinions from stylists that both said this was a bad highlight job at best not baliage. Please do not waste your time or money on a company that clearly does not care to do a good job!!!

I went to Michael for color and cut but I got so much more. The salon is very calm and tastefully decorated. Everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome. Michael took time to hear what I wanted, and made positive suggestions. I am totally pleased and will be a regular client here from now on.

I Love this salon, was the Best experience I've ever had! I went to Katie for consultation on coloring my platinum blonde (damaged) hair. I wanted to have a more natural warmer color. I showed her pics of the way my hair was years ago, she really listened to me and the results were amazing! Everyone was so friendly, the salon is beautiful and the atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting. It felt like I was surrounded by friends. The owners are absolutely fabulous! Can't wait to see everyone again!

I must say I was impressed when I walked into this beautiful Salon. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful and I rated my pedicure high.I am sorry to say I was not impressed with the sign that was on the counter which states what customers should give for tips according for services. The amount suggested was way over 20%. I always pay 20% .. but, to be told what to pay was not professional and poor management. They are way over priced for hair services according to many well know Salons and Spas. I will return for a pedicure but will continue to go to other top Salons for my hair.

At 9AM the other day I learned I had an opportunity to speak in front of a group of business owners at 11. In desperate need of a haircut, I called Salon Essence. Dawn, my stylist, was great. Exceeded expectations and I usually hate going any place new for a cut. Thank you!

This is by far the best salon that I have been to. The staff is friendly and is more than willing to help you! I came in and wanted to go from brown to blond AND go pixie short. Katie spent the time to go through pictures and colors with me and I loved the outcome! Then 6 months later when I came in done with being blond and having short hair, she picked a brown almost exactly what my hair was and started me on the path to normalcy! I just went in last week to get a needed trim and I wanted to cut off some irritating length but Katie successfully talked me out of it (since I want to grow my hair out) and gave me a style that I love. Great place, great people.

I visited Salon Essence after receiving a Mothers Day gift certificate for a mani/pedi and blowout. The storefront itself is very chic. Cleanliness, ambiance, and customer service were all on point. The mani and pedi I had was phenomenal. I would compare the experience and quality to a luxury spa. The owner Micheal did my blowout and it was an excellent job. I loved having my hair look so fantastic before a night out. While chatting with him during my appointment it made sense to me why his salon is so exceptional, he is very talented and I experienced first hand what a great product he's delivered to the Valrico area. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who would like a pampered experience.

When calling for first visit, I asked the cost of perm, & was quoted $70. It was a little higher that I was used to, but wasn't surprised because salon very nice & clean. Everyone very friendly. The stylist was running 30 minutes behind, due to previous client being late. I understood; no big deal. BUT, when checking out, was charged $40 for a cut, in addition to $70 perm. I have NEVER been charged a separate fee for a cut when getting a perm. My hair is very short (about 2-3 inches off my neck), so length wasn't an issue. I was in sticker shock. Yes, it was my fault for not asking, but when I have NEVER been charged a 2nd fee, I didn't know to ask if there was an extra charge. Since you don't get a perm without a cut, I didn't suspect another charge. That's like charging for an oil change, but then charging extra to drain the old oil. I have no problem with the salon itself. The people were very friendly, & the salon clean. However, I can't afford them & can't trust future quotes.

I will not go there again. I called in for an appointment and went in and they had me down for two weeks from today. Now when I call in to ask for an appointment on Saturday it doesn't mean two weeks from Saturday. And then there were no sorrys for the mistake or maybe act like they care and reschudel for maybe another day; they just let me walk out. And this is not the first time either. I've set up appointments before and they either didn't put me in the book or put it down for the wrong day. I guess they are too good for my money.

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!! The owner Michael assured me he knew how to do Balayge and I had an event to go to that day that I was running late for. I Love this salon, was the Best experience I've ever had! I went to Katie for consultation on coloring my platinum blonde (damaged) hair. I wanted to have a more natural warmer color. I showed her pics of the way my hair was years ago, she really listened to me and the results were amazing! I must say I was impressed when I walked into this beautiful Salon. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful and I rated my pedicure high.I am sorry to say I was not impressed with the sign that was on the counter which states what customers should give for tips according for services. This is by far the best salon that I have been to. The staff is friendly and is more than willing to help you! I came in and wanted to go from brown to blond AND go pixie short. Katie spent the time to go through pictures and colors with me and I loved the outcome! I visited Salon Essence after receiving a Mothers Day gift certificate for a mani/pedi and blowout. The storefront itself is very chic. Cleanliness, ambiance, and customer service were all on point. The mani and pedi I had was phenomenal. I would compare the experience and quality to a luxury spa. The owner Micheal did my blowout and it was an excellent job. I loved having my hair look so fantastic before a night out.
