The pedicure was great when the finally got to me. The manicure however was awful. The lady told me I was nasty for not wanting to cut my nails because they were "too long" then ended up filling my nails all the way down so either way I no longer have long nails. They work hard, my advice would be to work more on: 1. Customer service, ex. Have a nice, welcome to our salon 2. Always clean equipment in front of client to give a sense of security 3. Eye contact with client instead of wondering about what's happening around them. That should be the managers job. Read Less

I've been going to Mimi's since 2012 and overall they do a fantastic job...they have a lot of skilled staff, especially Tom or Tammy.  They try to stay up with the latest nail techniques and their equipment is reasonably upgraded/clean.  There are a few nail techs who aren't so great there but if you aren't happy with the end result, they will fix it.  They get super busy on the weekends but if you come during the week, you will have a relaxing and pleasant experience. Horrible! I called to ask how much full set was and was told $22. I walk in and get handed a basket full of nail color displays. I pick a color that I like. I go to check out and am told the total is $40. Apparently all the gel colors and regular nail polish colors are mixed in the basket. They charge $15 if you happen to pick a "gel" color without your knowledge. I ended up paying $40 for a full set a plain "gel" color nail polish. Total rip off!! Read Less

My new favorite nail salon. Get the ultimate pedicure. It is sooooo worth the extra $10. She gives you a generous scrub gel massage, mud mask, and hot stone massage. Plus, the new massage chairs are very relaxing. Everything is very clean. She cleaned down the tub right after the wash. Read Less

I've been here only once and chose it merely for its location. I requested a pedicure and was helped immediately. Quality here is very good for price. It started getting busy a few minutes in and rather than rushing through their customers, they called in a few more employees. I really appreciated that about them. I would recommend. Read Less

They didn't cure my gel nails properly - one nail - and said return the next day they'd fix. When I got there I was told I had to wait in queue.  I'd made an 11a appointment. I used to go every 3-4 weeks and pay for a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure... plus tip. They charge extra now to remove gel even if they put it on.I've been a customer for years now and 4 separate times I have seen an irate customer. 1. Double charge.  They said nothing they could do.  Not even apologize. 2. Cuts all over fingers from emory board.  Nothing they could do. Not even apologize. 3. Over charge by adding zero. Nothing they could do. Contact bank. No apology. 4. Nails peeling from gel manicure three days ago. No apology and told they'd have to pay to have it removed and re-added. No apology. I never thought it'd be me since I've been going there since we moved to Valrico. I'm guessing I'll never get them to make it right. Or an apology. I had my nails done with Baby Tammy and she did a great job, very knowledgeable and good conversation. The other people I had were pretty bad at their jobs. Rough on my sensitive nails, even did a treatment that hurt me (man in front station did while speaking another language the entire time with no remorse). Turns out they'd been lying to me about the treatment on my nails and deliberately using acrylic which I'd SPECIFICALLY told them not to do because it didn't do go for my nail and killed its growth. The last guy told me the truth that they hadn't had what I'd wanted and they'd been using acrylic. It made sense since it had given me nail fungus, another reason I'd asked them not to use acrylic! I wouldn't recommend this place if you care about the quality of your nails! It is clean but I can't speak for anyone else besides Baby Tammys abilities! Read Less

Guy did a great job on my fill in, pedicure was okay. They did not like the fact I found the 10% off coupon on Yelp were quick to inform me that it was old and made sure I was aware they would be contacting Yelp to have it removed...  Noticed prices charged did not match what was advertised I probably would not have tipped if it wouldn't have hurt the employees. My wife Kim called ahead on a Friday and asked if they had a opening and they told her yes they did. She was there within 15 min to get a manicure and pedicure. When she arrived they started her manicure but stopped 10 minutes in because the nail tech forgot she had a appointment with another person. They proceeded to put my wife in a side chair and she had to wait over a hour before someone got back to her nails.  As bad as that sounds the worst part is they charged our credit card twice for the service. Kim called several times and they said they would fix the problem but unfortunately after a week of calling they never did. Kim decided to speak to the owner in person but when she arrived he said " That's not true that's not true" and started waving his arms. She then showed him on her iPhone bank app of the double charge he then said "get out of my shop now". Kim then told the other customers they may want to leave unless they wanted to get ripped off. She was pretty upset at the entire experience of the place. And in closing she said the white tips on her nails did not last her even a week. There are a lot of places to get your nails done in Brandon/Valrico why would you go to a place that treats a new customer this way? Read Less

They are very welcoming when you come in. It's very clean. Pedi's are great. I have even taken both of my daughters, ages 5 and 11, and they are always very sweet to the girls and do sweet designs on their toes. They have cute pedi chairs for kids, too. I do acrylic nails with gel on top and usually request Tom. He is the best. But all of the technicians are great. Highly recommend this nail salon. Read Less

Excellent nail salon. I took my niece for her birthday. She got a mani/pedi and I got a pedicure. The woman who took care of her was great and the gentleman who did mine was also great. Salon was clean, organized, and very efficient. They used sterile tools, which is always something I notice. Best of all, their prices are wonderful! They prefer that you pay cash for gratuity, but they happily accept it on a card. Had I have known, I would have brought cash, but I had no problems. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Read Less
