My friend and I both had appointments yesterday. She for a pedi, and I had gels. We were both very unsatisfied. My polish was done sloppily, with my cuticles  receiving much of the polish. My nails were uneven and she barely filed them to make them even. In trying to drum up more business she told me my face is hairy (it's not) and I needed it waxed. Or at least my eyebrows. She also tried to convince me to get a pedi which I just had 12 days ago. My friend was treated rudely. He also did a very poor job on polish. Semi friendly staff, technician did not introduce himself. Worked very quickly but efficiently. Not pleased about the speaking negatively in whispered tone in their lanuage by one lady. What people dont realize is that all human beings have a "tell" when talking about people, even when in a different language. I went in to have a medi/pedi, the guy that did it made two of my toes and three of my fingers bleed. When I asked him for a gel French manicure, I told him short I ended up with very wide nails. When I said something about them he said no that is the style and they were "pretty " because this was my first time I went with them but as everyone one seen them they told me he was full of it. Needless to say, we were out of time by then, so I sat while she got a pedicure. Thanks for wasting our day off. Wish they had said they couldn't do it when we called. And honestly, this place isn't nice at all. They are very rushed to keep up, and the results of my friend's pedicure shows it. I have looked all on yelp for a salon in the villages and thought this might be a good one. I was wrong I spent 2 hours on just a manicure and pedicure. To start off I thought it was weird no one was wearing masks but didn't turn me off on the place. Well cleanliness wasn't great. As I was getting a manicure I noticed the towel under me still had leftover skin and nail clippings! She never got the dead skin off of my feet and left polish on the bottom of my toes. On two of my fingers she left a clump of polish and never evened it out so it smudged. She filed my nails so much they're brittle and fragile. She put lotion on and after told me to wash my hands. I think that defeats the purpose of putting it on. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed and she left wax on my lip and there's still hair there. Overall I'm not happy. I paid 60 dollars for all of this. It wasn't even worth it. I will not return. Read Less

I'm very disappointed!! I got pink and whites less than a week ago and one has already fallen off!! ALL of my nails are lifting (they were the DAY I got them done) they look like they've been growing out for two weeks. The ONLY reason I all be going back is so they can TRY to fix their mistake. $45 later, I expect to have nails longer than a week...Less than a week later... I went back today to hopefully resolve the issues above and to my surprise Amy happily fixed them free of charge!! Now the only reason I will be returning if if I have an appointment with her! I read all the 5 star reviews and chose this salon for a manicure even though it was out of my way.  I give this salon a "just okay" rating which I feel is kind.The technician, Lee, was also just okay.  I am used to having the person put my fingers in warm soapy water and also using an orange stick to clean any debris from under the nails.  Lee did neither as the water was very cool with no soap and no under nail cleaning was done.  As the shop was almost empty, she spent most of the time talking to the other technicians in their own language.  I have had manicures in NY and CA recently and this salon, as I believe most in The Villages do, charged $15 for just a manicure.  This is 50% more than I paid in NY and the service was 1/2 as good.  In addition to all this, I was not a fan of the selection of nail enamels available even though they had quite a number.  I had a hard time choosing a more natural color. Wonderful experience!! They know what they're doing at Hollywood nails. I've never had a better manicure and pedicure. They did a wonderful job of cleaning cuticles and my manicure still looks perfect after 2 weeks. Henry did my nails and Amy did my mom' sand we both came out very pleased. I came here while on a business trip. I'm so glad I found this place. I had done my nails at another place in the area, and they did an awful job. Here they were very accommodating, professional, friendly, and they did such a great job. I did my nails with Louis and my feet with Lee. My sister and I both wanted to get our nails done while visiting our grandparents in The Villages. We found this salon on yelp and decided to take a chance. We both had an amazing time and love our new nails! We both got a full set of acrylics which each cost $26 and I think that is a great price! The staff was very friendly and also very accommodating. Best French Pedicure.  I always look forward to my monthly pedicure with Marie at Hollywood Nails.  She takes a great deal of time to do a perfect pedicure and her leg and foot massage are fabulous.  This shop is clean and neat - lovely background music.  $31 for a French pedicure is a bargain.
