Cori did a great job cutting my hair. She was prompt and the head massage felt great. They do a paraffin hand treatment while shampooing followed by a brief hand massage. Cori did an excellent job cutting my hair and listened to what I said. She was also quick - no 3 hours for a simple hair cut! The salon is very conveniently located in Channelside with 2 hour parking for free in the garage. My only complaint is they did not tell me they were out of power when I scheduled my appointment!!! I have never been to a salon before, ever. I go to a ladies house and she gives cuts my hair for $10. I stopped going to her cause she dyed...my hair gray instead of blonde. You get what you pay for. Anyway I was looking for a place with nice environment and people skilled with curly hair. They have different prices based on the seniority and skill level of your stylist ranging from $30 to $160. Saving money so I asked for the least expensive. I made an appointment with Christie and the next day at the scheduled time I was attended. I was given a tour first and they give you the option of a free water, beer, or wine while you get your hair done. I got water. They wash your hair and give you a great hand massage after. Then they take you to get your hair cut. She was very skilled and quick with her scissors. Afterwards she blow dried my hair and it looked FABULOUS! I loved it so much. It was all done for $30 flat rate, not including tip and I gave a good one. I didn't schedule a follow up appointment but I know I'll be back. My hair still looks great, even in this humidity. I LOVE THIS SALON. I have been getting my hair done at this salon for over 6 years. They have been so flexible with my busy schedule and are always able to find an opening for me. I have never had a bad experience in the 6+years that I have been going here. Love this place! Their customer service is superb and hair artists are great! Becky is an amazing hair colorist and I would recommend her to any blonde! She is a color pro! just had a lovely girls day here! walked in without an appointment and were seated right away for 2 pedicures, and they were absolutely heavenly. the ladies working on us did an excellent job, and my nail tech was kind enough to fix my nails for me when she noticed that id smudged one as i was getting up and walking to the drying station. the staff here are all very friendly and welcoming, the spa is clean and modern, and the price cant be beat. definitely coming back again! Booked an appointment on Yelp app for 630 pm this week for a hair color. I then called them to find out if I could add a hair cut and was told they don't have me scheduled. After some questions and me telling the salon rep I booked it on Yelp..... She stated the app does not syn with their system....Why have that option? I live very close to the Salon and was willing to try it out due to the great reviews. However 1. due to me needing an app this week I wasn't asked times I would be available were just given two time slots on one day and stated nothing else this week??? No mention we will call you if anyone can els etc. 2. The salon rep was not apologetic regarding their fault with the app not syncing or mentioning she will notify someone to fix this issue etc. Not cool! Suggest better customer service! Read Less

Cori S. took me on a tour of the salon and I thought it was really impressive. I love that PM salons have this continual learning model and other salons could learn a lot from this. I enjoyed my white wine and paraffin hand treatment. Ive never had this at any other salon and it felt so pampering! The experience alone is worth every penny but I have to say that after years of being just kind of happy with my hair cuts, styles and color, Cori is the absolute best stylist Ive had. This is the third hair salon I have tried since moving to Tampa and none of them gave me a decent cut. It is frustrating. I told her I hated my last cut and was looking for someone to give me a decent cut so she trimmed my hair back to the cut I said I hated! I unfortunately reccomended this place to my Mother. My ex, had a good experience there. The Stylist butchered her hair. THE WORST CUT EVER. This individual obviously had no idea what to do with curly hair. Bad cuts happen, we all have had one. It's the service you get when that happens that is important. This Stylist/Butcher seeing what she had done, chose to blame the client. My Mother's hair was too curly, she died it at home, blah blah. The Stylist/Butcher, washed my Mother's hair, if she had any mastery of her craft she would of taken that opportunity to feel what type of hair she was about to cut. If she could see it was going to be difficult for her she should have expressed that to the client. Instead she left her client looking like a cartoon character. The Stylist/Butcher did not even bother to style her work, apparently that was above her $60 pay grade. If you want a new hair dryer this is the place. If you need a cut, RUN. I had gone here to get my hair cut fixed from another salons mistake. They are awesome here at 1.0. Their customer service is good and the stylist fixed my hair. Went to this location sat for 6 hours getting my hair done to not get what I asked for and after speaking to the supervisor and owner they were unwilling to give me a resolution to fit my needs. Everything they offerd me was an inconvenience to me and they refused to refund my money so I could go else where. Niw I have submitted the claim to my bank to get my money back as well as my friend they ruined her hair at the same time. They left black dye all over our skin. Will never ever go here again! After my husband had a great experience with salon 1.0 I had to try it out myself. They are so personable with you upon your first visit and even go as far as giving you a tour of their salon and making you feel involed in the whole process. Becky was my ever so wonderful stylist. I cut off 10 inches and she not only shared my excitement for such a drastic change but  also encouraged me to donate it  (since my hair has been previously colored I didn't think I was able) AND their shampoo area is a mini spa treatment.  It. I was greeted right at the door, shown around and offered a drink. Very friendly atmosphere. Haircut was a fair price for a professional barber. Only downfall is I have a bit wavy hair and was told that doing the $37.00 relaxing treatment would straighten my hair and make it easier to manage. Sad to say there was 0 difference. I had my hair cut yesterday and everything about the experience was outstanding!  Since it was my first visit, I received a tour of the salon with very detailed information about all of their services.  I was offered a complimentary beverage. (They even have beer & wine available) Katrina was the one who did my cut and I couldn't be more pleased.  She was friendly and asked me many questions about my hair and what I was looking for which helped her to create a look for me that is very easy for my busy lifestyle.  The atmosphere of the salon is fun and eclectic.  The staff all seem to be really happy to be working together.  I have already made my follow up appointment and I am so happy that I have found a salon that fits into my schedule and one that is so convenient to my office in Ybor.  I highly recommend Salon 1.0!
