My wife and I have been spa club members at SB Health & Beauty Spa since January of 2010. For over 8 years we have gone every month for a couple's massage, and we have used a few of the other spa services as well. The spa was founded by a mother-daughter team (Sarah and Bianca, hence the name), and the business has really grown over the years while still maintaining a quiet, tranquil atmosphere in which all guests can easily slip into a momentary reprieve from the busyness of our hectic world. Facial and mani/pedi were all a first for me, and I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the work. As far as the massage goes, I've had better, and the room was just too cold, plus there were too many things in it (whirlpool tub, shower, dry sauna) that combined with the too cold temperature took away from the experience. I've been going to the same shopping center nail salons since I first got my nails done and after terrible experiences and being overall unhappy with the result when I walked out- I finally got fed up and started looking for a spa to go to.. I am so glad I found this place to go and get my acrylics done RIGHT. Regina Reeves is a perfectionist and I could not be happier with the result. I'm never going back to a typical nail salon again. Horrible is the most plesant term I can use for my experience. Not only was my technician complettly unprofessional during my service, she was very heavy handed, made two nails bleed, had zero personality and rushed thrpugh my appointment. This occurred February 26th. This was my first real spa experience and I booked it for me and my husband. The appointment was booked incorrectly and instead of a couples experience they were trying to put us in separate rooms. I heard one of the staff curse very loudly when we arrived, unprofessional. Then when we were waiting to be taken back to our room after changing the front desk girl was showing another co-worker her spanks under her clothes with their employee break ro...om door wide open so we got quite a show. There were long periods of waiting and it was very awkward. The staff didn't seem to be trained well on how to handle delicate situations the whole experience was a lot of weird waiting and awkwardness. The therapist would also leave the room randomly and not say anything. Then we got shorted in time for our massage and facial (they upgraded us because of the miscommunication) but we in fact still got shorted by a lot (90min) not a little mind you. Owner first accused us of being late but then decided we didn't need to pay anymore for our inconvenience...I agreed to pay half since we received half the time (90 total for both of us instead of 3hrs). And we did leave a nice tip for the therapists even though the whole experience was very uncomfortable. Im writing this mainly to let the owner know where improvements can be made. It's a nice looking spa in a convenient location but when people are paying a lot to be pampered it's just disappointing when you get way less than what you expected. I came in for a prenatal massage on 3/12/17, and have to say I was very impressed with the facility, the atmosphere, and all the services the spa had to offer. I was taken back to the relaxation room to fill out the massage intake form, and shortly after, tabatha, my massage therapist came to introduce herself and bring me to the massage room to start my service. All I can say is that Tabatha has magical hands, she worked thoroughly on my sore areas, and I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during my service. I left feeling like a million dollars, she is extremely gifted at what she does, and is an asset to this facility. I am excited to return and try out more spa services. However, I am only giving 4 stars, because the young lady at the front desk (Dara, I believe was her name), although perfectly polite and informative, just didn't seem very warm or engaging. It seemed as though she was just going through the motions of her job, with out a lot of sincerity. This small little detail will not deter or keep me from returning though. All in all, it was a very positive and relaxing experience, and I will be returning in the future. It is just important that I am honest in this review, so that areas which might need improvement can be addressed. This is still a very well run spa, and I look forward to returning in the future. Wow! Incredible service. Maureen took care of me up front, even helping me figure out something on my phone and recommendations for tattoo services, by request. Maria did a fantastic job with my eyebrows, even filling them in for me with make up and giving me skincare recommendations. Finally, My nail tech, Cecilia was phenomenal. SB Is a great place to enjoy and relax. The service is beyond outstanding. They care about what you are sensitive to, they customized your needs. I had an issue with my post craniotomy surgery and facial pain afterwards and they were so kind and gentle it was the best day ever! Their products are amazing and allergy sensitive!
