Best salon l have ever been to! I walked in without an appointment and was helped right away. It's not the fanciest of places, but if you are looking for a cheap place that does a good job - this is the place!I got a very nicely done gel mani and gel pedi, and the lady who helped me was very fast without feeling like she was rushing. My first time here 5 months ago. Came back of all the good reviews. I'm so glad I came. SANDY did my pedicure and was very thorough. Will definitely request her again. The "google review" famous TAMMY did my nex gen design manicure. She did an amazing job! I'm very particular and I couldn't be happier. She did my eyebrows too. I just left TLC nails. Honestly it was one of the worst experiences there. I usually go for my pedicure and it's great but today was horrible! This is the first time in years that I am able to get my nails done because I quit my old job so I was super excited needless to say I was not satisfied. I went in and showed a picture of the nails I wanted and asked if they were able to achieve it they said yes, of course they did it in next gen which is totally fine but threw me off seeing as how I only though that was for solid colors. Anyways he finished and it was nothing like I asked besides the amazing shape so I said something and he attempted to fix it. After the second time I was over it and felt like a bother to say it still looked bad so I just paid my $50 and left which is crazy because I hate the outcome . My mom loves this place but she goes to one person and that unfortunately wasn't the one I had today. I am truly disappointed and don't plan on going back. I love this Salon. Everyone is friendly and nice and best of all SKILLED. John and Tammy and Leon and Mercedes and Lucy and Don just to name a few of the staff. They do welcome walk-ins, but it's best to call for an appointment. Weekends and before holidays can get hectic without an appointment, since it's a popular place. I prefer the Nexgen on my nails. This place is great! The nail techs are all very sweet. All the nails techs that have done my acrylics and pedicures pay attention to detail and have given me a very neat final product. On my last visit they told me they have nexgen. Super excited to try that next! Read Less

I had been going there for years since the place has been bought by new owners it is really gone down. Unfortunately there is no TLC for the customers because they have no people skills. They lie to the customers and treat them terribly. The latin receptionist's has an attitude & gets annoyed if you "the customer" requests a specific technichian that you are comfortable with. She has told me I need an appointment to get service with person i want. When i call tells me no appointment necessary. They want you to see what ever tech is available. All they want is your $. Luckly I ran into 1 of the techs that use to work there which left because of being treated horribly. I have found another nail salon where my old tech is and I am treated right. Read Less

I had a very bad experience here. I got my eyebrows done and usually I lay down on a bedding while I get them done. Well here the lady pulled out some unprofessional looking rolling chair and told me to sit. The job felt rushed like she wanted me out the store asap. It was very uncomfortable and the customer service wasn't nice at all. Since then I never went back. I suggest "Crystal Nails" on North University drive. It feels more intimate and their energy is more welcoming. This review is in hopes that they see this and change for the better, because there's so many locations to get your nails / eyebrows done. I TRULY regret making the decision to come here. My tech did not listen to me and I left with horrendous nails. Don't get me wrong the people are nice, but they do not listen to you.     When I first walked in I said I wanted coffin shaped nails. But for some reason, the lady at front desk gives me a tech who has no experience in coffin shaped. At one point, another tech had to intervene,  because he has never done it before. Now when my initial tech came back, he drilled the nail around the cuticle area so low, it looks like I need another fill. I told him it looked bad and he only fixed one nail.     The painting! He did not paint the entire nail, I had to tell him to paint the sides because it was bare. You still seen the clear nail. Drying the Gel polish. He left one of my hands under the UV lamp dryer for so long, that it basically melted the polish off. I now have ripples, waves and dents in the polish. I told him I didn't like it, to take it off and reapply. Do you want to know what his response was? He said that he is very tired and that I am too picky. I was not asking for much. I wanted someone to do their job and perform the task well.It's really unfortunate because I read the reviews and disregard what was said. Looking at most of the pictures posted, the work looked great. But what I got, it was something that was halfed-assed. I would never recommend anyone here.  Again, my tech was very nice (he even gave me a arm/hand massage), but did not listen.I should have went to Ahava Nail Salon(where the people listen and also have a 5.0 star review), but I wanted to try somewhere new. I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience till today. The 'receptionist' did not tell me I had to wait an hour and a half and after 30 minutes of waiting she said 'I told you' when she never said that. All she said was have a seat here. Came for the 2nd time for a Nexgen powder fill. The 1st time I waited 2 hours and then another hour for my fill but it was worth since Tammy did such an amazing job. I had no appointment and it was a Saturday so not their fault. Make an appointment! The 2nd time I came the guy that sits in the front when you first walk in did my nails. He didn't do a great job as Tammy had done. I had to ask for the sides to be refiled since I had gunk from the powder it was unfinished. I will give them one more try but definitely only seeing Tammy. Hopefully I have a good experience so this can be the place I come to for my nails. Read Less
