My experience here was not a horrible experience. First, the good... The staff was nice and the technicians took their time to make sure my nails were painted and shaped to my liking. The pedicure was very short as it relates to the legnth of time. It wasn’t as detailed and exfoliating as I am accustomed. My feet didn’t soak long (maybe 5 mins) before being exfoliated for maybe 3-5 mins. This did not bother me at the time, as I regularly get pedicures and my feet were probably just not in need of much more. However, I feel that this should be noted, as most people pay for a pedicure to have the works. Now for the unfortunate... I also received an SNS fullset with gel nail polish, as recommended by technician for nail health. After only 4 days one of my nails just peeled/broke right off. I didn’t bump this nail or do anything strenuous. I stand now, almost 2 weeks later, and 5/10 nails have all just fallen off at the most random times. The most recent one just broke while washing my hands, absolutely no trauma. It’s the weirdest thing. I’ve had SNS, gel, and acrylic several times before and have never had this happened. They all broke off right where my real nail length ended. Having paid $130 tip included, for pedicure and full set, I am very disappointed with the outcome. As stated before, everyone was nice, and the nails “looked” great, toe nail polish looked great also. Unfortunately, the look was short lived, messing up after only 4 days. Thought I’d share in hopes that the staff is able to determine if a change in SNS powder is needed, or if gel polish with SNS is inappropriate. Whatever the reason, hopefully there is a resolution, so that no one has to experience anything similar, as it would feel like a huge waste of money. Read Less

I'm a picky person and I dont do reviews but they deserve it, she took her time, shaped it perfectly, just overall great. I was optimistic given the high reviews for this place. My fiancé and I went in for a pedicure (his first ever and my first in a couple years). We were a little weary upon taking our seats because the place isn’t kept very clean. The feeling got worse when we saw how poorly the technicians handled their tools. Fast forward a couple weeks and we both have nail fungus. Awful as it is to admit I felt like it was important to leave the review so maybe others could avoid such an outcome. I could go into further detail on what evidence we considered, but the outcome remains the same. We both feel very confident that this was the source. Even if they do clean their tools out of sight of the customers there’s not much you can do once you’ve used nail polish on someone with fungus. It’s contaminated. We won’t be going back and have made a point to educate ourselves on what to look for and what questions to ask the next time we go to a nail salon. Read Less

I have difficulty finding a place I like whenever I move, which has been frequent over the past few years...however, the minute I walked into Nails La La, I knew I had found my go to nail/waxing salon. I decided to try Nails La La with my good girlfriends after hearing about it from another friend, since I was in the market for a good and consistent nail shop. I was VERY impressed. Douglas did my pedicure, and he was so sociable, and he made me feel and look beautiful for my baby shower! Also, I am a punctual person, and I love the fact that they are strict about honoring their appointments, which a lot of shops don't do. I really wanted to like this place, especially with all the good reviews, was hoping to find a new regular salon. But will never know now, 20mins later then the appointment time I made and still no help while others are taken care of beforehand. When I first moved to Tallahassee, I struggled finding a salon I loved. A friend referred me to Nails LaLa three years ago and I've been coming consistently ever since! It's not your average fluorescent light, open space salon. Located in a cute commercially owned home behind Bella Bella, it's pleasant and relaxing. The staff is great and accommodate the customer. I got "DIP IT" nails, a better alternative to acrylic, down south and requested they carry it here. Within a month I was able to continue my preferred nail regime. The most recent service I'm excited about is the LASH tint and perm. My lashes are blonde, so this is a necessity. One of the staff members used me as their patient for training and it was great. I wish I wasn't moving soon or this would be my new preferred place to get it done! I can trust anyone here to take care of me but I have been faithful to my girl, Yen. She's friendly and an extremely hard worker. They take walk-in, but I recommend making an appointment because they do get busy! Read Less

Best place I've been to in Tallahassee! Chao was such a perfectionist and ensured I was satisfied with every step of my pedicure and gel nail polish. Truly an enjoyable experience. They also have the regular polishes to match the gel polish so you're hands and toes can match exactly. I used to LOVE this place. I adored it but over the past couple of months they have went downhill. Their prices have increased and their cleanliness has decreased. Their floors are dirty, stations are too, and they don't take the time to clean their tools like they used to. I got a nail fungus from a pedicure here and the doctor confirmed it. They use the same tools on everyone which is fine if I actually saw that they would clean it in between people. Their full sets are still good but their cleanliness has seriously started to lack. I love Nails La La! They're absolutely fantastic! Most favorite nail salon ever! The ladies & gents who work at Nails La La are polite, they engage you in conversation, they remember you once you go a couple of times. It is wonderful. The quality of work they do for manis/pedis is great! Long lasting, excellent color selection, it's awesome! You can choose from normal polish, gel, dip, all kinds! I also get my eyebrows waxed at Nails La La and I refuse to go anywhere else. T...he girls are honest, they do a great job every time, and before leaving the shop, you are asked to confirm the waxing job. I don't ever feel rushed or like I received a hurried job for either nails or waxes. The shop itself is always clean, it never smells like the super strong polish smell some nail salons get, the bathroom even has a box chock full of women's supplies <3. First time here. Found them on Yelp! We had an 11am appointment, arrived a little early but was taken care of rather quickly. Everything was good, the hand and foot massages the polish etc. the only reason for 3 instead of4 stores is the cost is same as my regular place but here they don't do the paraffin wax on hands and feet- so that was kind of disappointing. Wow! I got the gel nails with chrome powder on top - it came out so pretty! Wasn't cheap at $45 before tip (ouch) but it's lovely for a special nail look. They seemed a little annoyed that I walked in (I'm not local) but I only waited about 15 minutes. The place stayed busy so I'd make an appointment if you're going. Came here to get my nails done before my best friends' graduations. We called the day ahead and made three appointments. When we arrived they were ready for us with no wait.We all got gel manicures and pedicures. They have a huge selection of gel polish, and are able to color match them with normal polish for your feet.The pedicure was great. The massage chairs are large and relaxing. The foot/leg scrub and massage were long and relieved a lot of our stress. My polish and nails came out perfect! The manicure was just as great. They were very careful to make sure the polish covered the entire nail, and that none was left on my skin. They also did a wonderful hand and arm massage. Overall, great experience!
