Took 2 hours 15 mins for a gel manicure and regular pedicure (I usually take 1 hour 15 mins). Messed up my polish and later asked THE RECEPTIONIST to fix it. I had called ahead for pricing and when I got there, they told me they would charge an extra $6 for removing polish. The manicurist would get up every so often to talk to co workers. I had my nails done by D and she was amazing! I tried a new style/nail shape and she was attentive and took her time to make sure she perfected the look. She genuinely cares about her craft, you could say she "nailed it". She's a professioNAIL... Haha. Sorry, I couldn't help it. Soooo happy with this place.  A great cool atmosphere plus excellent (and very cool) stylists equals a place I will keep coming back to.   The stylists at many places I have gone to do not listen to me, and give me the cut they want me to have. Stopped in here today for the first time for a shampoo, deep conditioning treatment and haircut. Couldn't be more impressed. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. And Kijana is a master at her art. My hair came out so gorgeous and it was exactly what I wanted! I was so pleased overall that before I left I decided to trust them with my brows. Got my hair cut by Kijana just the other day and it was pretty good. Never had a woman barber before but I was there with my girlfriend for her monthly "lady maintenance" appointment and was pressed for time so I went for it. And it turned out great in fact. She's very professional, super nice and has an eye for detail. I'm quite particular about my lining and she far exceeded my expectations. My company holiday party was on Friday and I had an appointment at a different blow bar.  When I showed u for my appointment, they told me the computer system was having issues and they could not find my appointment and they were booked so they could not do my hair.  I started calling all of the salons in the area to see if by some miracle anyone could take me in.  Kijana Salon & Blow Dry Bar was the only one that took me in even though she already had another appointment.  The service and products are amazing and the staff is so sweet! They're a hop and a skip from Sunset Place and two doors down from one of my favorite happy hour spots (town). I went to get a gel mani and a pedicure. The experience was good, the salon is very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. However, in terms of the quality of the service, the gel started chipping and peeling IMMEDIATELY. Within a few days, several nails were chipped. After 1 week, only 3 out of 10 nails were still completely covered by polish. I will post pics of the days following the mani. For GELS, this is awful. If I'm going to pay that much for a manicure, I would like it to last, as it is supposed to. I don't do any more with my hands on a daily basis than the average person, so it shouldn't chip like that. Read Less

Got my hair done a few months ago at Kijana Salon & Blowdry Bar and the lady doing my hair convinced me to try out the balayage technique. I was already kinda blonde and was looking to go lighter so I honestly didn't think it would be complicated. This lady bleaches my hair forever because she was cutting another man's hair at the same time. Long story short, my hair came out not only horribly damaged but brassy and orangy. I came back the next day for a refund after asking my friends if it looked brassy/ orange and they all agreed it did. The manager said she couldn't refund me anything and that she could just offer me a complimentary treatment for making my hair look and feel like a broom. SMH... This was easily my most relaxing salon experience since moving to Miami. Inside the salon is extremely clean and beautifully decorated. There was no wait! I got a facial and a blow out, both with Beverly. She managed to tame my transitioning hair without hurting me at all. I couldn't believe I didn't get burned from a dryer or flat iron.
