Very good pedicure with Tina. I'm a seasonal resident and have tried a few places in the Seminole area. This was by far the best. Prices are fair and the staff is very personable. Often the men's pedicures get cut off 10+ minutes because of the unneeded nail polish. They extended the foot and leg treatments to make up the difference which was appreciated. The staff at Number One Nails are very nice and professional. The salon was very clean, not cluttered and are reasonably priced. They took their time and I didn't feel they rushed through my pedicure. I highly recommend and will be making this my one and only nail salon! Read Less

I moved here a year ago and found this salon right in my neighborhood. I'm in heaven! The best mani/pedi I've ever had, and very reasonably priced. I've never been unhappy with the service. The art work is so fun. I bring my out of town visitors here, and they too are so pleased. They take their time, never rushed and I really feel pampered. I've watched them with all their clientele, men and women, and they treat everyone special. Such nice people, fun to chat with. It's best to have an appointment or just call ahead. Seriously, where did all these 5 star reviews come from?!? I'll tell you - obviously they're Jenny's customers! I went as a walk-in and wasn't lucky enough to get Jenny (who is also the owner) so my experience was not 5 star worthy. It may not have even been 2 star worthy.I walked in, Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 and the place was empty: 1 customer sitting at the drying table, and 2 employees sitting there staring at me. I'm standing there, clueless, for a least a minute when one of the ladies manages to ask me (in VERY broken English) if I had an appointment. I told her I didn't (although now I wish I had) and that I would like a shellac manicure. She got me the color wheels and told me where to sit. As I was looking thru the colors, I tried asking the woman about lash extensions since I had seen the amazing Yelp photos. She didn't understand and thought I was asking about a color. Oh boy. And she was the better English speaker out of the 2 ladies manning the shop. I later found out that Jenny was in a private room with a lash customer but if I wanted lashes, I could book an appointment and the cost will be $35 -awesome price, kinda too good to be true. I'm intrigued.So back to my manicure. She soaked my hands in cool water. No cuticle remover/lotion applied though. When she proceeded to scrape my nails and clip my cuticles, she was using so much pressure pushing my nail and ripping my skin that it actually hurt! She also tried twisting my thumb toward her further than my thumb can naturally twist - which also hurt.Next, she applied lotion. Yup, lotion. Not at the end of the manicure but immediately following my cuticle removal. The massage was brief. Then she had me wash my hands. When I came back from washing she applied alcohol to my nails and had me bake my hands under the light. What??? Cooking the alcohol in???The painting process was extremely slow and overly cautious - and never mind me trying to explain the special design I wanted. This was a nightmare and I regret going. My shellac manicure cost $26. I have an appointment for lashes. I imagine that experience will be much better because it's with the owner.Consumer beware. There's only one person that can properly communicate with you here. Hopefully they're better staffed on the weekend. Read Less

I had a very good experience at #1 Salon and one  I would recommend to others. It is a small but efficient salon. The staff are very accommodating, anxious to provide a good service (2 technicians worked on my "special" toes) and used new or sterilized/packaged tools. The massage chairs were great and prices are reasonable. Parking is a little challenge and I missed the little extras in the soaking water like bubbles or petals. Read Less

What a great find!  Needed my nails done on vacation and was happy to find Number One Nails.  Nice, clean salon.  Got a shellac manicure from Jenny and deluxe pedicure from Tina.  These ladies really did a great job, paying attention to all the little details.  Price was very reasonable, too.  I had made an appointment and had no wait.  Couldn't be happier and will definitely use this salon in the future when I am in the area! This place is a hole in the wall but is awesome. They actually care about you and do great work. They pay attention to detail and care about their service. Jenny/jenne is amazing! Fast but not sloppy variety of color CLEANNNNNN a little rough but not painful They do ALL THE LITTLE THINGS that most salons try to skip , like cutting cuticles , shaping your nails evenly, cleaning underneath them, not leave a gel coat mess on the sides of your nailsa little pricy but WORTH IT Read Less

The price is unbeatable for the service. Nice place, they lacked on my pedicure didn't really do that great of a job, but it was a basic pedi and looked good. Atmosphere is pretty nice typical nail salon with TV, something about a TV just makes it less relaxing. We love Jennifer and Tina, and everyone is excellent!  They are quick, friendly,  clean, and professional.  Jennifer puts fabulous designs on nails, and she also does gel nails. Doesn't get any better than this!  Guys need to keep their feet in good shape to wear flip flops. Nothing worse than bad looking toenails, and cracked feet when you have slaps on your feet!  This is THE place for a regular guy to take care of his feet.
