This place is a joke. You think a 30-something dollar massage is a deal, WRONG, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. My therapist AND the front desk receptionist both argued with me and my friend, very rude. I'm easy going and LOVE massages, I just needed a deep tissue massage, it was not deep tissue, I was even suggested to this lady. My esthetician was okay, I believe she was new, Essentials uses terrible products and they are carcinogenic, i broke out into a rash afterwards. I, myself, use obagi and dermalogica, THOSE are great products, maybe use those at your spa instead. I called a day after my appointment and the front desk lady i referred to at the beginning of my review answered, she proceeded to argue with me again! EVERY time I go to LA Fitness someone places their fliers on my car, that is how I heard about this place, it happened over and over, so I finally went. Never ever again! It has been 3 weeks since my visit and my car has had 3 more rounds of these fliers placed on my car. SOLICIT much?! It's annoying now. There are PLENTY of other GOOD spas in this area, do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs. Adam & Eve and Hand & Stone are amazing! They are not as CHEAP as Essentials Cheapo, but their products and therapists are phenomenal! Try them instead.

I used to go to the spa when it was on East Bay Drive, then I started going to the new location. It started out great but then I felt the quality had gone down hill and the prices up. Every time I went, the service was shorter but the same price. Occasionally, I did get an email that the price would change on certain services but sometimes I didn't know until after the service. I like Lilliana, but not exactly well run.

I recommend Adam to all my clients , he’s done great in all aspects, from sport to massage. Able to do it all ! I make an hour drive just to make an appt with him. Worth it

I was very impressed!! I called last minute and they were very polite and able to schedule me within 2 hours. The ambience was very tranquil, with a “quiet room” before stepping into a message. Amy was out of this world. She really targeted every area that I asked her to and made sure her pressure was right where I needed it to be. I had a 90 minute combo massage (half deep tissue/ half relaxation) which is absolutely wonderful. The massage table had a warmer on it which was a nice bonus. She soothed areas that really needed it, and massages my feet with hot towels which no one has ever done for me before. I will become a regular after such a good experience

This is a wonderful place. I can't say enough about Keith. When I first started seeing Keith I was having a lot of pain and wore a sacroiliac belt. Have worn the belt for about 5 +/- years. After seeing Keith a few times I no longer need the belt. I would highly recommend Keith.

Worst place I’ve been to! Was promised a female therapist when I booked my appt a week prior and got a man the only reason I didn’t leave is because I live so far away, was in pain and looking for relief plus I had a gift certificate I need to use! I confronted the owner who blamed it on her computer system and played dumb! It’s freezing inside there so it’s hard to relax. The male therapist is amateur at best used his forearms and fists most of the time instead of his hands...! His hands were freezing also! He dug his fists so hard into the top of my breasts I was in agony and in pain for days after and during! He said to me have you ever had a pectoral massage before and I said NO?! Never! And I get massaged all the time in different places and no one has ever asked me that nor done that to me!!!! I felt gross and dirty when I left! I will NEVER return or send people there! Also they give NO water at the end of their massages! See more

Been there 3 times. The first time I was there was when it was located on East Bay. The massage and the customer service was great. The price was fair. My 2nd visit was okay. I think they charge $25 for a special they were running. On my most recent visit, I got there a few minutes before my appointment time. The man behind the desk didn't seem too friendly. Didn't even attempt to smile. Maybe it was too early and he wasn't a morning person. They put me in the waiting room and I wait for about 10 minutes. I was charged $40 for a massage and it was about 40 minutes. 45 minutes tops. Their prices are going up downing up and they service is getting worst. I won't be going back. There are other places you will find with better service.

Make sure your appointment is in fact scheduled. I showed up for my 2:00pm dermaplaning session, sat there for 10 minutes before the guy at the front told me that the aesthetician was not there and could take me at 6:30pm. I said I can’t do that due to another appt. he gave me her personal # and told me I can call her to schedule again. Ummm I think not.

I just had my second massage session with Amy today and I couldn't be more pleased. Amy is very gifted in what she does, truly an exceptional massage therapist. I have been to other spas in the area, but I am sold on Essentials Retreat Day Spa and I am finally glad that my search is over. Their spa is clean, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and professional. I plan on visiting this spa on a regular basis and continue seeing Amy for more wonderful relaxing sessions.

This is by far a good, not great massage, for a good price. You get what you pay for. For not being on a plan and locked in a contract, they are consistent.

Do not know how to handle her customers! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ! Do not go there!! Called with the intention of giving this place a chance because of their seemingly cheap prices, even with all the bad reviews that I've heard. Maybe the bad reviews is because of the customer service not the massage itself! If that person I talked to was really the owner then SHE SHOULD JUST CLOSE HER BUSINESS DOWN!!!

I've had Julie give me a combo massage many times. Combo massages are the best of both worlds. You get the relaxation that you need and want. And the deep tissue to work out those sore muscles. Julie gives a fantastic massage. I have fibromyalgia and she has helped me tremendously. Essentials prices are very reasonable.

Tracy was my therapist... and let me tell you, no kidding I have been getting massages for over 20 years and at many different places... She is the best I ever had...Put it this way, if I was God's secretary and He needed a massage, I would recommend her, that gives you an idea. She was professional all the way from the greeting/first impression during the whole massage and all the way to the end. Perfect in every way you can think of, the pressure was perfect, she knew where to spend more time she easily found where I had knots and worked them just enough.. I would give her 10 stars if I could... I am vry thankful that I found her.

I love this place. I have used several different therapists and they have all been great. The facility is always clean, organized and welcoming. The prices are great and they have hours that are very accommodating. The only reason I did not rate a 5 is that it feels more clinical than spa and their aromatherapy up charge was disappointing. Overall a very positive and worthwhile investment.

I enjoyed another deep tissue massage by Amy today. She is by far the best therapist ever. Thank you Amy for helping me relieve my pain, relax and heal. This spa is clean, quite, comfortable and affordable. Anyone thinking about treating yourself to a relaxing or healing massage please contact Essentials Retreat and ask for Amy. This place is a joke. You think a 30-something dollar massage is a deal, WRONG, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. My therapist AND the front desk receptionist both argued with me and my friend, very rude. I'm easy going and LOVE massages, I just needed a deep tissue massage, it was not deep tissue, I was even suggested to this lady. My esthetician was okay, I believe she was new, Essentials uses terrible products and they are carcinogenic, i broke out into a rash afterwards. I, myself, use obagi and dermalogica, THOSE are great products, maybe use those at your spa instead. I used to go to the spa when it was on East Bay Drive, then I started going to the new location. It started out great but then I felt the quality had gone down hill and the prices up. Every time I went, the service was shorter but the same price. Occasionally, I did get an email that the price would change on certain services but sometimes I didn't know until after the service. I like Lilliana, but not exactly well run.

I was very impressed!! I called last minute and they were very polite and able to schedule me within 2 hours. The ambience was very tranquil, with a “quiet room” before stepping into a message. Amy was out of this world. She really targeted every area that I asked her to and made sure her pressure was right where I needed it to be. This is a wonderful place. I can't say enough about Keith. When I first started seeing Keith I was having a lot of pain and wore a sacroiliac belt. Have worn the belt for about 5 +/- years. After seeing Keith a few times I no longer need the belt. I would highly recommend Keith.

Was promised a female therapist when I booked my appt a week prior and got a man the only reason I didn’t leave is because I live so far away, was in pain and looking for relief plus I had a gift certificate I need to use! I showed up for my 2:00pm dermaplaning session, sat there for 10 minutes before the guy at the front told me that the aesthetician was not there and could take me at 6:30pm. I said I can’t do that due to another appt. he gave me her personal # and told me I can call her to schedule again. Ummm I think not.

I just had my second massage session with Amy today and I couldn't be more pleased. Amy is very gifted in what she does, truly an exceptional massage therapist. I have been to other spas in the area, but I am sold on Essentials Retreat Day Spa and I am finally glad that my search is over. Their spa is clean, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and professional. I plan on visiting this spa on a regular basis and continue seeing Amy for more wonderful relaxing sessions.

The prices are great and they have hours that are very accommodating. The only reason I did not rate a 5 is that it feels more clinical than spa and their aromatherapy up charge was disappointing. Overall a very positive and worthwhile investment.
