Love this place! While traveling I popped into The Nail Lab based on reviews for gel mani-pedi service concealing that I too was a Salon owner out of NY. I just wanted to ultimately relax and have a sanitary experience while on Holiday. This place delivered as you are seated privately and serviced with high quality products. As a professional it's hard to sit back and allow another professional execute services, but I was able to do just that with no complaints. Cyndi is absolutely incredible!! She is brilliant when it comes to caring about, and educating me on the HEALTH of your hands and feet, and really treated me like a queen. I only get my nails done at a very upscale NYC salon...especially pedicures... but was desperate when I got to Sarasota. Cynthia gave me a pedicure as good as any I've ever had. Traveling in to Sarasota from New York, I had absolutely no idea where I needed to go to get my nails done right. I called Cynthia, and she was able to take me right away. Not only did she help guide me to choose the perfect nails to match my dress, she gave me one of the best pedicures of my life! Cynthia is great! I was in FL on a business trip, which turned into a mother - daughter weekend and we started it all off with mani and pedi. I landed a quickly looked in Yelp to make an appointment and the reviews did not disappoint. Cynthia really loved what she does which results in a great product. I got a set of acrylics and they were the best I've ever had, I'm now looking for someone in Boston that can live up to Cynthia. Went to the Nail Lab after reading positive reviews and I feel I owe it to the public and inform: Save your money and time.AVOID at ALL costs! I was charged $89.00 for a mani pedi that took over two and a half ours, the original request of pink and white could not be performed due to lack of supplies, when I questioned the price, I was told "extra filing" was needed? Give me a break! I then noticed that the manicure was awful, all the nails were different sizes and not filed so they were very sharp. I called and asked them to repair and correct and had to wait 35 minutes beyond my scheduled repair time. Again spending another hour and 20 minutes. Besides the posh attractive surroundings, I would certainly skip this one. Read Less

My daughter and I had pedicures with Cynthia and had a wonderful experience. I wasn't sure how she was going to do both of us at the same time, but she did. Her work area is so clean and it is clear that having a sanitary environment is important to Cynthia. My toenails look beautiful and we really enjoyed our mother daughter pedicure. If you are looking to be pampered this is the place to go. Cynthia's salon is very clean (which is huge for me, I hate dirty salons). She offers a wide variety of services from waxing to pumpkin pedicures to acrylics. I have personally had the pumpkin pedicure and it is out of this world! I am a chef and always on my feet, the pumpkin pedicure left my feet smooth and smelling great. Also I always get the gel pedicure with glitter and I have never had a chip or the gel last anything less than 6 to 8 weeks. The BEST pedicures I have ever had. I usually get my nails done at the typical neighborhood "walk-in" nail salon, but after a bad experience at another salon I decided to research nail salons via Yelp. I'm SO, SO happy I did because the reviews were right! This IS the Number #1 Nail Salon in Sarasota!!! Here's why I'm impressed: 1) On-line Appointments: easy, peasy! I picked my day/time and then reserved my slot with a debit card.2) Nice Location: I'm new to this area and so it was a pleasant surprise to discover her boutique is inside of a cute hair salon in a very posh area near DT Sarasota. 3) Quality Spa-like Treatment: Cynthia paid close attention to each and every nail from her initial assessment of the quality of my nails down to the final topcoat polish. She made a recommendation and then explained/educated me on what she would do and why. She also used fresh quality products (no odd odors/smells or old outdated dried-up nail polishes). The final result was the best nail experience I've ever had because my nails and hands looked amazing! 4) Options: I also liked that Cynthia can accommodate the ultra conservative look (French Manicure aka pink & white) to the hip and trendy styles (designs, colors, nail shapes). I'm a housewife so I like to have fun with my nails now especially after years of wearing French Manicures for corporate America. Unfortunately, I have steered away from the fun, cool designs for fear of my nails looking a hot ghetto mess. I'm normally a very nervous person when I get a pedicure. Never really sure how hygienic the tech and the equipment is, I can never just relax and enjoy the process. This was NOT the case with Cynthia. I was greeted very warmly by Cynthia for my appointment and she was kind enough to do a pedicure on my 8 year old daughter. Cynthia was immediately able to put my daughter at ease and made the process fun. I have never seen my daughter so excited to take care of her nails. Having witnessed the care Cynthia gave my daughter, I was able to relax and really understand the hygienic process behind an authentic pedicure. Needless to say, I've never had one until now. My feet and nails looked amazing. My husband who never notices these things was highly impressed. I highly recommend going to Cynthia for all of your mani and pedi needs. Just posted a picture of my pedicure. I have had multiple services done by Cynthia on various occasions. I always receive a gel pedicure. I highly recommend her pumpkin pedicure! It leaves your feet baby bottom smooth. what's even better is her gel pedicures last me 1.5-2months, there is growth of the nail but I have never had a chip. It was my first time at "The Nail Lab" and Cynthia was very welcoming. I decided her grand opening in Dec 2014 was a good time as any to check it out. I opted for the pedicure and she mentioned the pumpkin option for my pedicure. It was a very good option as I've never had before.
