I came here with my sister to celebrate her birthday, which is the only reason I would generally pay a premium price for a mani/pedi. I got a normal Pedicure and the gel Manicure and I paid $100. Yes, it's organic, and yes I had a mimosa, but other than that, I'd still be mad if I had only paid $50. The pedicure was fine, though don't expect the massage chairs. Nothing really special about it, no extra time spent or bells and whistles, just a pedicure. Then the manicure... I mentioned to my girl at least 4 times that my nails grow very quickly. So, knowing that, you would think that she would apply the polish as close to my cuticles as possible (I understand you have to leave some small space for the top coat to seal it), but she did not. I left there looking like my nails were already grown out by a couple of days. Also, and this is the big one, she didn't soak my nails in water before cleaning my nails at all. She applied the cuticle cream for about 1 second before pushing my cuticles back forcefully. They were basically dry. Which meant not a lot came up, and it hurt. The polish itself was a beautiful color but after three days, it looked like I needed a fill in a bad way. So even though the polish looked good, I had to remove it after a week. Paint has been my regular nail salon for a while now and I just can’t say enough about them. All of the technicians are kind and wonderful at their jobs. I have an autoimmune disease which affects my hands and can make doing my nails a challenge, but they never treat it like a chore or an inconvenience. Wow is all I can say. From the moment you walk in to PAINT, you will realize you are not in a typical nail salon. First of all, there are no strong smells and no technicians using drills or wearing masks. Rachel and Andrew greet you with warm smiles and a glass of champagne or beverage of your choice. You relax in the waiting area which is more like hanging in your living room. The pedicure stations do not have those massage chairs that are typically broken, they have big comfy chairs with porcelain bowls because those whirlpool baths are full of bacteria. They use brand new tools for every client and your nail tech will explain everything to you. My hubby and I got "talk of the town" pedicures and uptown manicures. I got gel polish that is still holding strong 10 days later. The price point is in-line with many of the other "chop shop" nail salons in the area, but with the luxury of visiting a high-end spa. I was also able to snag a beautiful rose gold bracelet there, as they partner with local designers and showcase their jewelry. They also have tons of events with designers and make up artists. I was so excited when I found out about Paint, a healthier alternative with seaweed gel to help strengthen your nails! Regular gel polish ruined my nails in the past. I'm a true believer in self-care, so naturally I have treated myself to many spa days. I've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly at spas all across the country. Having said that, this salon is HANDS DOWN the best salon I've ever been to!! I made an appointment here a couple of months ago to pamper myself before I went on vacation and was extremely satisfied with my experience. - First, the staff is amazing! There is NOTHING better than walking into a salon and getting greeted by friendly, smiling staff. What a breathe of fresh air! Plus, the owner Michelle (who is such a doll by the way!) was there making sure the salon was running smoothly, which I very much appreciated! - Second, the service is phenomenal! Goodness, I haven't been that relaxed in a loooong time. I don't recall who did my Uptown Girl Pedi ($42) but the woman was excellent! I also appreciated not being rushed through my service (like many other salons typically do). The service took just about 45 mins from start to finish. - Third, the mimosas prove that this salon goes the extra mile! I mean, mimosas during your service, people. What a joke. I came here with a friend yesterday to get a pedicure and at first glance it was great. We were told to leave the polish alone for 2 hours to let it dry properly since they use all non toxic nail polish. We completely left it alone and even kept the toe separators in for 2 hours to make sure the job was pristine. Today, (one day later) I went on a boat and jumped in the water. 20 mins later 3 toenails were completely naked. The polish floated by as we enjoyed our Sunday. I got back in the boat to a text from my friend (that got the pedi with me) that said "worst pedicure ever. 4 of my toenails have chips in nail polish". We payed $42 each for a pedicure that lasted 24 hours. Congratulations on the non toxic, toluene free nail polish. But, if it peels off after a few hours in the water the next day, there is no point to coming here. The only saving grace is the girls that work there. They are kind and hard working. But if the product sucks, why return? I'd planned on coming back to get another pedicure before I go on vacation at the end of the month, but considering it's a beach vacation, I'll go somewhere with product that is guaranteed to stay on. Went in for a gel manicure last week, and the short version of the story is that it started chipping less than 48 hours later.When I walked in, they told me that they use an all-natural alternative to typical shellac polish, but that it's cured by UV and would last as long as typical gel manicures. I picked a color, they did a standard manicure (filing, buffing, pushing back and cutting cuticles), and applied their seaweed natural gel polish, cured it under the lamp, and then filed my nails one last time. I walked out pretty happy with the service.That was Saturday. By Sunday evening, I noticed tiny chips on two nails. By Monday morning, three of my nails had big chips on the edges. By Wednesday, more than half my nails had noticeable chips. I work in a hospital, and chipped nails can harbor bacteria, so I was required to remove the manicure before coming into work the next day. I specifically get gel manicures so that I don't have to worry about my nails chipping, and they typically last two to three WEEKS before I get tired of the color and have them removed. This gel manicure lasted less than TWO DAYS.I will not be returning to this salon. You can offer me all the free mimosas you want, but if your gel manicure barely lasts a couple days, what is the point?? Read Less
