The best nail salon that I've been to in Sarasota!! It literally took me 15 minutes to pick out a color because there was so many to choose from. I was surprised because I have gel on my finger and toe nails and usually there's not a whole lot of options. The owners are amazing, very dedicated to their work, perfectionist and friendly. I am soooooo disappointed after my recent experience at this shop. I've been to several shops throughout my life, and this one was terrible.We had our mani/pedis done by Kenny and his wife. It was an interesting experience, to say the least. I had Kenny, my mom had his wife. From the beginning, Kenny immediately started telling us his life story, and how he's had several businesses, homes, boats, etc. And that would've been all fine and dandy had he not been doing a spotty job simultaneously. The problem with having two people get the exact same services is that they can compare. He did NONE of the same added things that his wife did. Her name might've been Jennifer, but I don't remember.His wife massaged my mom's legs, rubbed the lotion in, painted with care, etc. Kenny, after attacking my toes and almost causing me to bleed with cuticle cutters, slapped some lotion on my legs while they were sopping wet, then wiped it off.When it came time for me to transition to the mani stations, Kenny didn't grab my purse or shoes, or even lift the side of the chair so I could get out. Ridiculous.When I did get to the manicure station, I was asked to pay upfront, which was weird since my mom was halfway through her mani and hadn't been asked. She also never mentioned that I'd be paying for both of us, so that was interesting.He filed my nails oddly, didn't ask me to wash my hands like his wife had asked my mom, and painted sloppily. I was using a light, pastel OPI color, which requires care, and he rushed through; leaving areas bubbly and not evenly painted.By the time I got back to the resort and saw my hands and feet in the light, I realized that he'd smudged my nails several times, then just painted over.  He also didn't paint from base to tip. Some of the tips of my nails were uncovered.Not okay. I would not recommend this place, especially after he scoffed at the $10 tip I left... you're lucky you got that after screwing my nails up. Love love love it! My husband and I were town visiting from Ohio and I needed a fill in my nails. I drove past this place and read some reviews real quick before I stopped in. I am so glad I came here. They fully pampered not only me but my husband too. I have to begin by saying I've been to at least 6 different nail salons here, and none of them care about their customers the way Nail Zone does. I've had multiple technicians do my nails and I've always walked out of there with a smile on my face. Linda was my first technician that got me hooked. I went in there once and a month later she remembered my name! Unfortunately she no longer does nails, but Kim and Andy have both been wonderful. If there's something I want different they aren't upset they take the time to make sure you're happy and you get what you want. I am moving and I hope I can find another gem like this store! I have been to many nail salons, in multiple states, and I must say, Nail Zone is one of the very best!!! The salon was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, the staff were friendly and professional and the deluxe pedicure was amazing! Kenny was one of the best techs I have ever had. His work was impeccable! Not only was my pedicure 50 minutes long, complete with hot stone massage, the price was unbelievable- only $35! I have gone here to get my nails done  for the last 9 months. So when I called and asked for Linda who always does my nails and told her I felt it was time to get a new set of nails instead of a fill   she kind of has a hesitated and then said  can you take off your old nails?  I had some 100% acetone so I told her sure I can do that but I also thought that meant that she would not charge me cuz most places charge to remove your nails and that's included in the price of a full setEspecially since she specifically asked me to do this!!!!  so I spent two hours soaking my nails and scraping them and soaking them and scraping them and then finally I had to buff  them down with an emery board and as I said this took 2 hours at least so when I came in the next day   -Linda even ask me how I got my nails so smooth so I told her that it took a long time that I soaked them and really worked on them to get them smooth so she could would only have to put on the acrylic that day.   my nails are long enough so she did not need to put any tips on and it basically took her less time because my nails were already smooth -she had to do very little work smoothing them out all she had 2 do was just put the acrylic on and paint them    so I said wouldn't this be more like just to fill since all you have to do is put the acrylic on she said no I would still be charged for a full set so I spent 2 hours of my time and had to pay an extra $8 for her to have less work    I will never go back again!!!!  PS. This the first I have ever complained publicly about a service but I was beyond upset. Not to mention I always tip generously she lost a good customer Read Less

What an excellent staff! My husband and I went for pedicures, he had never had one before. It was by far the best one I have ever had! I very recently moved to Sarasota. The idea of having to find a new local go-to nail salon made me nervous. I had to kiss several frogs before finding this gem. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Linda. I had Annie do my gel mani and my pedicure, which she did a fantastic and meticulous job. While Annie was doing my nails Linda introduced herself to me and asked me what my name was. I have never felt so welcomed in a nail salon in all my life. Its not like other places where you have awkward or forced conversations with your nail tech. It felt more natural here, like they were really interested in what you had to say. Even when I had a little cough going while I was getting my pedicure done Linda got me a glass of water without me even asking. Prices seem average for the area, and I definitely think you get your money's worth. The salon and instruments are very clean. Annie didn't rush at all and was very thorough and gentle. My gel mani was $25 and my pedicure was $25. They have a basic pedicure for less as well. Another thing I like is that they accept credit cards and you can tip on the receipt like normal. I have been to many salons where tips are cash only. I highly recommend this salon! Read Less
